Do I need Adobe Reader if I just download Adobe Acrobat 9.0 Pro?

Hello! I just download Acrobat 9.0 Pro and when I try to open a .pdf file in a Web site, I get the following message, "Adobe Acrobat/Reader that is running can be used to view PDF files in a web browser.  Adobe Acrobat/Reader version 8 or 9 is required.  Quit and try again. "When I click 'OK', I get the"Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage"page

I have Adobe Reader version 8.1.2 installed on my machine.  Acrobat Pro has a built-in player and I should just uninstall it?

Thanks a bunch!

OK, so if I understand well, and let me be clear... we buy Acrobat Pro product.  At this point, I need to uninstall the product, READER and Acrobat Pro product must do everything for me.  Right?

Thank you!!!

That is right.

If you have Acrobat you need not drive in any case since the drive is only for viewing of PDFs and Acrobat has that covered already.
