  I think that the driver you need is sp64572, so let's try to install it manually.

  In Device Manager, expand display adapters, right-click the Standard VGA card and select "Update Driver Software".

  In the next window, select "Browse my computer for driver software", then "Let Me pick from a list of drivers for devices on my computer.

  In the next window, click on the button "Floppy", then go to C:\SWSetup\sp64572\Graphics\ and left click on the 57005.inf file to select it and then click Open.

  Click 'Ok' and then click 'Next' and see if the pilot goes like this.

  One when you're done, click on 'Close' and then click 'Yes' to restart the laptop.

  If this is the case, you need to install the graphics driver nvidia, then restart the PC.

  I m wondering why you need to install the SATA drivers if you have already installed Win XP on this NB200?

  If you have changed the SATA compatibility mode then the SATA drivers are not necessary because the HARD disk controller does not run in SATA mode!

  I had a similar problem installing RAID on my old Qosmio.
  I didn't use the restore CD but the simple Microsoft Windows Boot CD.
  The problem was my incorrect installation procedure.

  After the installation of the driver the USB FDD drive RAID, the configuration of the installation works fine until I formatted the HARD drive or partition.
  This has been bad! Don't format or delete the partition after installing the RAID driver!

  In addition, make sure you use the right set of RAID! These settings can be checked in the BIOS! My Qosmio user manual provides lots of information about RAID. Did you check your user manual which settings are required to install the OS of Win CD?

  This document reviews for install the fix KB835221 but that is no longer officially available in dialogue with Microsoft technical support!
  But don t worry buddy. The Google search is the key!
  Try to search for this KB835221 hotfix and I m sure that you find the right one!

  The UAA drivers needed in Microsoft documents are not included with XP SP2 or SP1, so it is a QFE handy to have around if you want to use more recent sound as the Realtek HD Audio cards.

  PS: If the Q835221 did not help then you can also try the driver updated to Microsoft Q888111 article, which has 4 versions depending on your operating system and installed service pack.

  You can try to install the graphics driver in Device Manager.
  Go to the Device Manager, choose graphics card, click on update driver, then point to the (ini files) graphics driver files stored on the HARD disk and complete the installation

  In 2006, a lot of laptosp has a problem with foutly BGA chipsets. Chip foulty start works when heat you. That's why, when you mentioned on chip fries, I decided to test it.
