  Hello

  With the recent exploits against non-jailbroken iPhone, I'm curious to know what other people do on the protection of the iPhones in the company?  We have a NO-byod environment, all phones are owned by us, but we allow users to download something they want for them.  It is supposed to be limited to "related work" but we all know how it goes.  We have instructed officials to check the applications against the zap.zscaler to get a ranking of security, but most of the applications are not there.  We also looked at proofpoint, but their services are > $20 K per year which is out of reach for us.  Is there an in-between to verify the legitimacy and the security of the applications?

  If the device is not jailbroken, then applications must come from the App Store, or they must be distributed through a program of the company.

  You have RMD? You should be able to get a report on installed applications. In addition, due to the sandbox, even a malicious application can access data in its own app container, unless the device is jailbroken (which is rare these days).

• Lightroom related to the Enterprise Application

  Hello:

  I am interested in a management application that links to Lightroom 2.7. the operating system is Windows XP.  The application would connect files Photoshop at cost, selling price, customers, etc.  If all goes well, a thumbnail of the photo could be included in the name of the file.

  Currently, I used Excel and did some expansion in Access.  The establishment is very cumbersome and time consuming.  Can I create a link between Excel and the Lightroom database?

  Help with this effort would be appreciated.

  A customer has two sets of publications - a weekly and a monthly.

  Ideally, we want to build a business application containing all the weekly and monthly publications. Both products should appear in the booth newspapers.

  Is this possible? If so, how partition us the application so that the publications are separate? I suppose we would need a showcase custom as well.

  If you want to create 2 separate applications on the newsstand so you need build and manage these separately. This requires you to create 2 separate App ID and create applications separated using App Builder.

  Do not forget that the folios are always uploaded in an account of the specific application. This means that you will need to create a separate application for the other app and only download folios you want to see in this application.

  Note that apple will most likely have questions if you offer the exact same content twice, so they will reject the app. If you don't want to make the difference between users by getting only the weekly vs monthly questions I suggest use a server of right.

  a DBA I am interesting to broaden my skill with learning on the application server.
  I knew that in the past before Weblogic bought by Oracle, Oracle, always using Oracle application server.
  Now with the Weblogic gaining more popularity on the market, which is the product the value of learning and get certified.
  
  Is it still useful to take Application Server 10 g or go with Weblogic. in certification path, Weblogic 10 g.
  WebLogic now replaces the Oracle application server, average abandoned Oracle Application Server?

  Question if I go for Oracle WebLogic Server 10 g Administrator Certified Expert System it will be good to work with 11g thus?

  Make it part of the same system (now). Like WebLogic is the portal and the Jukebox, forms etc. are the records.

  What book other than the documentation that you have found the right one for learning.

  Yet to find one, Oracle documentation was OK.

  Is it better to learn the Linux or Windows version?

  Both are very well, choose the operating system you know better.

  I built my Middleware on Linux 64-bit test. Note that the 32-bit version allows to run Forms and Reports Developer.

  Beware of pre-installation tasks

  Install the Oracle database
  Linux RCU (repository creation utility)

  Database

  Use an existing database. (And it worked)

  My test was divided into four main parts: (in this order)

  Installation of the regional coordination unit
  WebLogic Server Install
  Install JRocket
  Forms and reports Install

  According to me, it took me two or three times to do things. (or at least work)

• Function documentation for the SignalExpress project

  I use the function 'project documentation' LabView SignalExpress 2009 in my application project.

  The draft measure a pressure signal permanently in different situations. I want to present my project document is a list of locations of the siganl of pressure taken under different situation, with a plot for each situation so that readers can easily compare the plots.

  For example, I want the document states:

  At 10:00 at low flow:

  ground pressure siganl

  At 11:00 with increased flow

  the same pressure signal ground

  etc.

  What I did was flirting with the pressure signal in my documentation of the data acquisition phase in the project tree, but in doing so, I could only show the last parcel of this signal in my documentation, the plot is in real time, just like what shows in the display of the data.

  Is there a way to show the same siganl taken at different times in a documentation?

  You can totally do this by using a feature called "instant."

  Rather than drag the step signal directly in your project document, first create a snapshot of your data using the menu option "use > create snapshot...". (Ctrl + Shift + T) »

  A dialogue will appear asking you what signals you want to instant. After selecting / them and clicked on Ok, your new snapshots will appear in the section overview of the application (in the left corner below, by default).

  Drag these signals on your project document. When you are ready to create your next snapshots after changing the configuration, you can select "Operate > repeat the last Snapshot (Ctrl + T) ' to simplify your process.

  For more information about the snapshot, see using LabVIEW SignalExpress found under "Help > LabVIEW SignalExpress Help" and search on the keyword "snapshots."

• Documentation of the API for CWIMAQControls

  I am a software developer with several years of experience in medicine and other sciences, but now is working on a software project using National Instruments IMAQ customer in .NET and have no prior experience with image processing.  The only I can find the API documentation is a help file with the product intalled.  Then this under did a good job explaining the service inputs and outputs, it is light on the explanation in a real retail functions actually do.  Under .NET (not my favorite but this is what I got), I can get a good summary of the objects and their properties / methods, which is useful.  I see there are a lot of good material in this forum, but what I need right now is good basic documentation.  I also noted a plethora of PDF files in the directory of installation but found nothing there or on ni.com which gives me the level detail fo I need.  When I think that the documentation of the API, I expect something as complete what Sun Microsystems offers with any JDK Java - it seems that the doc API IMAQ assumes a certain level of ease and does not for someone like me come with literally no background outside a lot of math (algebra of vector fortunately!) and science in College courses.

  Am I missing something?  I see that there are many examples of programs and I can get what want from those, I guess, but I do not charge my client for all the time it will take, if there is a more ready fo source information.

  Now, I realize that the field of the treatment of the image is large and it would be difficult to develop a software of this nature without a learning curve.  So I have

  I studied through two web queries image processing and having bought the book 'Digital Image Processing (Gonzalez, wood).

  Specifically, I was put to zero in on what is needed for the task at hand: "blob detection" and "blob tracking movement."  It seems pretty clear to me, some have become familiar with the image processing basic terminology and methodologies that have been developed for tracking, and image recognition of movement IMAQ software can do what it takes.  At this point, I can do basic things with objects presented in .NET.  It is analogous to maybe ask a kid who just the definition of an equilateral triangle to solve differential equations.

  In this case, what I really need is one or more examples of programs that perform functions similar to what I want to do.  Is there any suggestions in this regard?  My research on ni.com revealed evidence of the items of "blob detection" and "blob motion" and I see that these were used for tasks as complex as the particles of follow-up and the counting of blood components.  I don't see and od you expect not to see any object, follow also specific methods than what I need to do - which is in fact quite abstract - and chart the path of the blob more to light to the camera image gained when it moves in real time.

  It's a strange feeling to have been programming for decades, and then enter a field where the customer needs require me to act as a nini who has not done its homework.  But it's the nature of the job.  The pointers will be appreciated.  If I missed something obvious I don't even mind being reprimanded to be unobservant or lazy.

  Have you looked at the manual of the Vision Concept?  (it should be in the form of PDF in the documentation directory, or you can see it here) It has a more detailed description on what our algorithms.

  We also ship many examples for .NET - those of the 2. Functions\Binary analysis file dealing with blob detection and may be useful.

• How to show the background application

  I want to follow an alert in my application when the application is in the background.

  I tried with this code: -.

  alert.dialogSize = DialogSize.SIZE_SMALL;

  But it does not show the alert outside the application.

  But on further research on the web, I had found earlier than alert.show (IowWindow.getAirWindow .group ()); will allow the alert to be strictly within the application. Is this means that show() alert will generate alerts in the foreground, even when the application is in the background?

  Also, I want to put the application in the foreground when you press the button display. is it possible

  That is to say, the application state must be changed programmatically to 'normal '.

  Looking for QNXSystemPowerMode to learn more about how to run your application even when it is in the background.

  Note, however, that if you do it wrong, you're going to drain the battery too fast and no one will want to use your application.  Do not set up just to sit in THROTTLED mode all the time if, for example, you want to just check a timer and do something later.  There are ways to use this very effective stuff, if you spend the time to learn.

  In addition, with regard to the "bring programmatically the app in the foreground", it is not possible unless you use a dialog box modal system (in other words, what you get with alert.show (()) just does it automatically.

  And it's probably a good thing... If I installed an app which itself has jumped to the forefront, becomes the active application, I would probably uninstall it immediately.  After all, how do you know that what the user is doing is not more important to him that no matter what your application wants to report?  It might be in the middle of a game, or give a presentation, or else where he does not want your application is throwing in the view.

  The same goes for using the 'modal system' form of the dialog as well.  I highly recommend that you not use it.  I believe that it is really only meant for critical problems of the system, such as the lack of flash memory or memory, and you will notice that it is not even use it to the situation of the latter.  (It might not for low flash either... I've never tried still get there.)

  If you want to attract the attention of the user, using a sound index (for now, the way that only acceptable, in my humble OPINION) or wait until the Notifications feature is documented and fully available for us.  That do the little "red flash" appears in the upper left corner and display a notification in the tray (top left corner) as well as how the PlayBook is currently app updates are available in the App World.

  If you insist on the use of the modal approach of the system, I would be very interested to learn what is the use case, as so far, I do not think that someone has described one that would generally be considered a valid use of this API, for most users.

  Finally, if you don't use a modal system, consider to give the user a way to disable it, as in your settings menu.

• How to find if the installed applications are third-party or core

  We know how we know if an application is third-party or core. The Group of code module class: http://www.blackberry.com/developers/docs/5.0.0api/net/rim/device/api/system/CodeModuleGroup.html, there is really no such api for this information. I did some research on the internet as well and did not really find any useful information. I guess we could use information from the seller to filter out, but it could be source of errors.

  We need this information mainly for 2: reports of third-party applications to our backend, and implementation of the custom method of wiping.

  Since there is no api standard wipe, we intend to do that, to this post: http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/Java-Development/Is-their-is-some-method-to-wipe-the-device-u... where he says "we have sought such a solution too." We ended up remove all PIM items, then delete all the contents of the memory of the device and remove all applications as a final step. " However by removing all of the applications, this would make the phone unusable that would kill the phone rather than wipe the phone.  We only delete the third-party applications.

  6.0 device os, it displays as a base application or third party, so it seems that this OS has this information. Not sure how we could use java api to do it well.

  GroupType as system seems a good indicator, if the application is preloaded on device or not including (Basic application of RIM) and enterprise application. We decided to check based on that.

• Firewall and the blackberry application incompatible behavior

  I have problems with the deployed application and the blackberry firewall.

  The application uses any no API 'secured '.

  On the BlackBerry, this app generates a warning whenever it attempts to open a connection file and whenever it opens a web connection.

  However, we noticed that when we ACTIVATE the blackberry on the device firewall, gain of warning messages a checkbox to permenantly overlook the warnings.

  You can place an ApplicationMenuItem on the program of Messages, but I don't think that's what you're looking for.

  You can also try adding a FolderListener in the mail store, then you get to announce to any e-mail message hit the folder. The subject of the message has a "isInbound()" method that will tell you if the message is incoming or outgoing.

• The best way to find the name of the installed application module?

  If you don't know the name of an application module, how can you find it?

  For example, if I have the name of jad file from another application, can I assume that the name of the application module is basename of the jad?  As in, a name of jad MyApp.jad would result in a module name to 'MyApp '?

  That was my assumption in a first time, and it of that he seems to be the case, most of the time, but not all.  In particular, if the jad's name:

  MyApp - 1.0.0.jad

  I found that the name of the actual module on a "BOLD" v4.6.167 running (and the 4.6.0 JDE the bold Simulator) is

  MyApp$ 2 d 1

  However, * on an another "BOLD" * (this a v4.6.0.162 running), the exact same application indicates a module name of

  $ 2 d $1 2e0 MyApp$ 2e0

  That's why I wonder if there is way to get more definitive an application module.  I scoured the API documentation and the solution isn't jumping home.

  Ah.  I can also see if I need to 'escape' my module names.  If this isn't the case, then I can watch an exact match in the list of module names.  If I have, it seems that I still need to look for something, "close enough" and hope for the best.

  The JDE has a high profile tools that I'm sure will do what you need to do.  You will find that he documented in the JDE, in the BlackBerry Java Applications debugging.  The general process (or at least, how I usually use) is to set a breakpoint at the beginning and at the end of the code I want to analyze.  When I hit the breakpoint in the beginning, I reset the stats, let it go all the way and then to spot the differences!
