Does not print red

I have a hp 7310 all-in-one, some time it started fading from black to red, so I changed the black ink cartridge. Then it would print only in red, so I ran the cleaning print cartridges, it printed all the letters and black numbers, I tried again to print it was still red. Anyone have any ideals, what's up?

Hello jimtquinn.

It is time to replace the tricolor ink cartridge. When you have replaced the black cartridge, it still contained ink. In fact, red print is a clear signal that cian ink on the Tricolor cartridge Chamber is empty. In fact, you can check what inks are available printint a test page using the buttons on the printer as follows.

Configuration - print - Self-Test report

When you print the routine of cleaning cartridge, the printer makes use of the black cartridge to print all the text.

Depending on the type of print that you do, it is also possible that the text is printed with the Tricolor cartridge (this happens when the images or pictures are printed).

See you soon!

  • 6700 does not print red

OfficeJet 6700. With the help of HP ink cartridges.

Blue, yellow and black all print OK. However, the red color print as a kind of Brown.

Replace the Magenta XL HP cartridge with a new one with the same result.

I ran in the OfficeJet Wizard, the diagnosis the reports tab in the device information.

Black, yellow and Cyan samples printed with the appropriate color. However, Magenta print as a purple muted with many horizontal stripes.

I then ran the clean print heads.

All the outputs black seemed clean and sharp. Color samples, with 3 shades of each color displayed in blue (ok), muted purple (all striated), Brown (méché) and green (ok).

Running a third level cleaning produces a similar, but more streaked, results for the samples of violet and Brown.

Replacement cartride Magenta leads to the same results.

When I printed a page of my computer, red appeared as browns.

The same programs running on the same computer with my previous printer HP DeskJet 970 worked.

Is there some kind of color profile that must be loaded to correct this?

My 6700 printer is around the age of 7 months and I never came across this problem in the past.

    Help, please!

Since I have no answer on this forum, I called HP Support.

After several tests, it was determined that the printer was defective.

Since I was still under warranty, a replacement (reconstructed) printer has been sent.

    Now, everything's fine. Problem solved!

  • red laser toner does not print on M476Nw MFP

Just bought a new HP Color Laserjet Pro MFP M476nw. all put in place smooth like silk, but the red ink will not print. I ran the calibration print several times but it isn't print a calibration page. It is said print document but nothing doesn't come out. What should I do next?

    Hi DCLEE,

I'm sorry to know that you have problems with your new HP product.

This product has an internal calibration procedure, it does not print a page during or after calibration.

In addition to the calibration page, are you able to print other documents from the printer? I understand that printed pages do not encounter red (Magenta) color pictures.

Try printing a test page for the engine and check if all 4 colors are printed.

  • OfficeJet 6500 e709: prints w / scale on the left margin and does not print right side of the page

Prints with a wide margin and does not print the last 2 "or 3" on the right side of the page. This occurs even when the value of the left margin to little or none.

HP trouble shoot said there is nothing wrong and test page prints fine.  Then back to the problem so try to print.

    HI @philg2,

I see your thoughts produce a wide margin left and right of the page is cut off. What program are you printing from, and this occurs when you print from all programs or just a particular program?

I see your post that this is not happening when you print a test page, so I think the problem is somehow related to the driver or program that you use. Let's start with the HP print and Scan Doctor is a free utility (tool) that allows to quickly resolve problems printing, scanning and connectivity, including but not limited to:

    • Connectivity:

USB: Check that the USB connection from your computer to the HP product works properly.

Network: Verifies that the network connection between your computer and your network is working properly.

    • Device Status Test: checks the errors of the device, such as paper, paper jams, stands transport and paper issues and provides instructions to resolve the error.

    • Driver: checks the driver missing or corrupt files.

    • Device Manager: check the problems in Device Manager that could prevent printing.

    • Device online: check if the product has been suspended or put in offline and then sets the State back in line if necessary.

    • Print queue: checks and clears pending print jobs in the print queue (a newspaper for printing waiting to print).

    • Port Match: check the port settings for the HP product.

    • Device conflicts: check the conflicts with other drivers, such as the other brands of printers.

    • Ink issues: check the cartridges and the ink levels for issues that affect the print quality.

    • Print settings: check and adjust the print quality settings.

    • Test print: print a test page for the assessment of the print quality and provides options for cleaning and if necessary print head alignment.

    • Scan tests: check the scanning mechanism, drivers, and registry entries.

If this does not resolve the problem, after back and let me know if there are all the symbols except the Green checkmarks and what they are next of course. The key is not always easy to identify the key and check mart are in the green circle.

    • If you see only the Green checkmarks (), the tool did not find any problem.

    • If you see green sides (), the utility identified a problem and fix it automatically.

    • If you see yellow exclamation points (), the test failed and requires monitoring of the user, but the step was ignored.

    • If you see a red X (), follow the onscreen instructions to fix the problem.

Thanks, I look forward to hearing back on your part.

  • My printer does not print the words.

I have a HP Photosmart.  My operating system is Mac OS X 10.6.8 version.  I woke up this morning and my printer does not print the words, only the outlines of the text boxes.  It's the same thing on my other computer that is running Windows XP.  I changed the ink cartridges.  When I ran the alignment he printed the blue boxes around the page and black boxes on the right and left sides.  I also printed the word IMPORTANT! but that's all.  I ran a print quality Test and it printed blue, red and yellow stripes horizontally and vertically, thin and thick, "BOLD" and vanish.  He also printed them in parentheses and nothing in the parenthenses.  I uninstalled the printer on my Mac and reinstalled.  I got all the updates also.  This did not help.  I tried to get the updates for the printer by using the application update on the printer, but he said that none was necessary.  Help, please.

Thanks for your concern, but I threw the thing in the trash.  It was one of your printers 'free' which uses a very expensive ink.  We have collected these printers over time so I opened one I got "free" last month.  I hope it lasts over a year.  Will you be playing with programming and I need a new driver soon for this one also?  Sorry to appear cynical, but at the moment I don't have any different attitude to the project.  I am informed that I will need a new driver for the operation of our other printer and I don't understand what was wrong with the old driver.  We did nothing.  It should work!  I just want to print, words!

  • HP ColorJet 2600n: HP ColorJet 2600n will not print RED

I have all new 4 124 HP toners and HP124A (combo) installed at the same time, but the red color does not print. I had the same problem with the last 4 tones and thought the Magenta was BAD, and now with all new shades, the problem is still there. Help, please!

The goal of the scanner is sprinkled on.  Here is a sheet of instructions with pictures on how to repair.  It will take some time but works perfectly when you are finished.

  • HP photosmart 8150 does not print with Vista

Why my printer does not print how can I solve this problem

The pilots say they work properly even though they may be bad drivers (not always, but often enough). You can get in trouble with your device drivers.  Go to Device Manager by going to start / find and type Device Manager and enter and then double-click on the program icon that appears.  Check each device to a red x, yellow! or white?  These identify devices with problems probably (drivers, but also of conflict or something else).  Click on each for more details and troubleshooting tips.  If you need to get drivers, firmware and/or software (and you should get those updates for the printer and all you have time to do - they can help way beyond simply solve this problem), let the computer dealer or the manufacturer of the device (NOT of Microsoft Updates).  In fact, you must disable automatic updates in Windows Update driver as follows:http://www.addictivetips.com/windows-tips/how-to-disable-automatic-driver-installation-in-windows-vista/. Follow these steps to get the drivers: http://pcsupport.about.com/od/driverssupport/ht/driverdlmfgr.htm.  Once you have the drivers, you can install them via the Manager device as follows:http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/193584-device-manager-install-driver.html.  The versions supplied with the printer are more likey obsolete and you want the most recent available.

Do you get errors on the screen or on the printer (and what do say EXACTLY)?

Pay attention to the installation instructions.  Not only certain tasks requuired, but sometimes they should be done in a certain order or the process will not work.  Check again the indications (or contact the HP support) and follow them to the letter.  Frankly, I would contact HP who willl be faster and much more liekly to work in the end. http://welcome.hp.com/country/us/en/support_task.html.  Why fuss about it when they will be more than happy to help you?

I hope this helps.  Really shouldn't be much more difficult than with the previous printers unless you've never used Vista before - that can make a big difference.  Installation and configuration of sharing are very different.  Also, there may be some settings of the printer itself that need to be addressed to make things work correctly - but I do not (but HP will be).

    Good luck!

  • My C8180 does not print the magenta if shades I print directly from my computer

My C8180 does not print the magenta if shades I print directly from my computer.

I did a test once my pictures came out with greenish and bluish colors. I saved an image I created and that was a lot of red, pink, purple and magenta on a flash drive. Then I inserted the drive flash directly in the front of the printer and the image printed with all the vibrant colors that it should print.

I took the same exact image and saved on the hard drive of my computer. Printing through the computer, the colors are muted, streaked and red, pink, magenta sine.

The problem is not with the printer heads or connectors... it must somehow be attached to the HP program or drivers. Now the question is, how can it be fixed? If I uninstall the HP printing software, if I install it again, won't the same problems with the colors appear again?

Well, I'll point you to a video on deleting locked files that may be easier to understand than my trying to explain.

Even if its 2010, the rules still apply.

    http://www.YouTube.com/watch?v=kiwbvwXx-ja

Brian of Britec explains the process to remove the stubborn locked files with these two programs listed below. It doesn't matter if the locked files were a virus or not. You can stop and replay the video as much as you want, easy peasy.

Download and install Process Explorer from Microsoft Sysinternals.

    Download and install Malwarebytes Fileassassin

    That should do well.

Let me know how it turns out.

  • LaserJet 1018 just does not print!

    Hello

I installed a printer LaserJet 1018 on Windows XP. Well, it does not print. Or, better say, it prints a test page looking very nice every time I reinstall, then sometimes it prints a page or two, among the dozens I ordered, but in most cases, all I get is a Windows error message. Once he printed 1 4 page in the document, and then nothing. I've tried three different USB ports on my PC and the CD and the driver pack download from HP.com. In some occasions, I had managed to get the red light blinks. At the present time, however, the printer calmly shines with green and reacts at all. Somebody HEEEEELP!

Well. I replaced the USB cord and managed to print several dozen pages. Curiously, it seems that the problem was with the power cord.

  • A text on a page does not print

On a number of pages, such as http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio4extra/programmes/schedules/2013/02/14 the text in purple - black prints. But black on the page text does not print.

On the other hand, IE8 prints all text (in black)

"This page uses a style sheet for what is in print - rel ="stylesheet"media ="print"href ="http://static.bbci.co.uk/programmes/2.51.1/style/print.css" "

Maybe IE is not read this stylesheet even that Firefox reads this file for you. Although the Print Preview in Firefox and IE8 on my PC displays the same type of black and formatting. And this note is in this stylesheet - black print faster: sanbeiji.com/archives/95 -which explains why the print is black in Firefox (and IE8 for me).
