I recently bought a new golf gps device and connected to my desktop pc to register. After unplug his computer m USB cable I can't start my computer.
whenever I start it the pc his usual routine, but then I saw the following message... USB device to the system detected. System turns off after 15 seconds.l
Fifteen seconds after the system shuts down. It wiil also not afford to start or access the safe mode, the program installation or any other type of recovery mode, I could access normally. It will also not recognize my Win XP installation disc. I guess it's because of the configuration of the BIOS which accesses the hard drive before the CD rom drive.
The problem was obviously created by the golf gps USB cable but I can't find a way to get the system to boot so I can find a way to eliminate the problem.
Thanks for any help that anyone can provide. I am running WinXP Sp3
Hi PAULARUNNELS,
· What happens when you try to start in the Advanced startup options?
· You receive the same error?
· You external devices connected now?
Try the following.
Method 1: Disconnect external devices not essential, connected to the computer and restart the computer.
Method 2: Load default BIOS (Basic Input\Output System) settings, and then restart the computer. Make sure that you have the CD drive set as first boot device. Check the settings by consulting the manual or call the manufacturer to do so.
Note: Be careful when you change the BIOS settings. The BIOS interface is designed for advanced users, and it is possible to change a setting that can prevent your computer from starting properly.
Method 3: If you are unable to start on one of the advanced startup options, and then you can follow this article.
How do I recover from a corrupted registry that prevents Windows XP startup

Hi Garrett.
This message type indicates an attempt to start the operating system from a network device.
Check the order of boot sequence in the BIOS. Make your hard drive as the priority.
Important: changing the BIOS/complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) settings can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the configuration of the BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Changes to settings are at your own risk.
If the condition above is not true then you may be able to get the disc from the manufacturer to perform any additional troubleshooting steps.
In addition, you can consult the section below, which provides information on troubleshooting steps to perform when you encounter this error: http://support.gateway.com/s/Checklists/BPC/ck20070907117.shtml#MBR
I suggest you to contact the manufacturer of the computer.

System does not boot, get the white screen after preparation for auto repair
Hello
I have a Toshiba Satellite with Windows 8 and yesterday there were some ongoing update and must restart. When the computer reboots, it took some time and then I got a blue screen (very quickly) who said something as she encountered a problem and needs to fix (it is really fast and I can't see the whole text). Then goes and comes back as it is booting (with the toshiba logo) and he says prepare auto repair. Then it goes to a white screen. I tried to get into the HARD drive recovery (power with F12) and when I select HDD Recovery and confirm Yes, it just goes to a blank screen. I went into the Setup utility (powering now F2 while) and has chosen default install and who does not either (although it has fixed the problem with my keyboard backlight does not). Support of Toshiba said that it is the operating system, not the hard drive. But I need a drive recovery media that will scan all. Anyone know other options? I have a disc of recovery of a Microsoft coming 8 Pro (dell). Would it be an option, to use it (I got it on a flash drive) and start-up of that? Thanks for the help.
Hi John,.
Thank you for the update.
Given that you want to use the Windows 8.1 recovery disk, you won't perhaps able to start Windows 8 using Windows 8.1 because the computer may not be able to find the files of Windows 8 start to recover.
Yes, you pouvez install 8.1 Windows using the recovery disk. However, you may not be able to perform the upgrade option when installing Windows 8.1. When you click install now and follow the instructions, you must choose the Custom Advanced option to continue installation. Choose Advanced custom options will create a folder in the C: drive (or any other partition when you do not want to install) named the Windows.old folder which expected to have all of your files and documents of previous installation and are accessible.
Make sure you have the drivers available for the devices installed on the computer as network card, drivers etc. of video card you install Windows 8.1.
Hope the information is useful. Please feel free to answer in the case where you are facing in the future other problems with Windows.
Thank you.

Hi kristy104,
· Remember that changes made to your computer before the show?
· Give us the exact message, you receive the error code?
· What is the number and the model of the computer?
Try to start the computer by disconnecting all external devices such as printers and scanners and a USB hard drive and check the results.
You may need to perform the manual system restore, see the link below: how to recover from a corrupted registry that prevents Windows XP startup: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/307545

What is the purpose of the BOOTSECT. BACK file on a system dual boot?
What is the purpose of the BOOTSECT. BACK file on a system dual boot?
Hi Clyde,
What is the operating system installed on your computer?
Bootsect.DOS is the boot sector loaded by NTLDR charge BACK, or if there is no file not specified when an operating system is not NT-based loading. When your computer is configured to dual boot in Windows NT version 4.0 and another operating system, it uses a hidden file called Bootsect.dos to boot into the no Windows NT operating system. If the Bootsect.dos file is damaged or is missing from the root of the C drive, you receive this error. Bootsect.DOS is created by the installation of Windows NT. The boot sector in sector 0 of the C drive is copied in Bootsect.dos until the installation program writes the Windows NT boot sector. (Setup will not overwrite an existing Bootsect.dos.) If you choose a previous operating system, Windows NT runs Bootsect.dos, simulating the normal procedure to start the previous operating system. Because the information contained in Bootsect.dos is really created by the previous operating system, it is very difficult to re - create.

Satellite A60 Pro is not booting
Hello
I hope someone here can help you. I know that this laptop is old ages, but it's the only one my aunt and she would that he repaired if possible.
Basically, the question is this.
You can start the laptop, all the normal lights light up and the screen with the Toshiba logo and 4 icons at the bottom and then... nothing. He's sitting there for centuries, showing the logo and nothing more.
You can turn it off by holding the power button down and turn it back on again, same thing.
I did this without the disc without the optical drive and HARD. No difference. The worst part, without a keyboard input seems to be accepted. I help ESC, F1 and F12 on separate occasions but no change - goes to the screen of tosh, no other movement.
HARD drive and optical drive turn up, as in they make noise and you can feel their displacement.
I'm at a loss and need help please!
Phill
Hello
If the laptop is unable to pass the Toshiba start screen, then this would mean that a serious hardware problem has been detected.
During the startup process, POST (power on self-test) is running (for the POST, you see the Toshiba start screen) and the material is checked. If that fails, the laptop would not boot the system.I guess something is wrong with the motherboard. You can see the modules of memory, but in the case where the modules are ok, the mobo may be the troublemaker.

Satellite A100: operating system not found - error PXE - E61
After turning on the machine (A100) the following text is displayed:
Intel boot Agent FE v4.1.18
PXE - E61: Media test failure, check cable of
PXE - MOF: boot agent intel coming out
operating system not foundI can do or do I have to take it to the dealer for repair? Help, please.
Hello
I guess that something with your HARD drive is not really OK. An error message is displayed when the system is unable to boot from the CD/DVD-ROM or HARD disk.
You have to imagine a sequence (called 'boot-sequence') where all devices that are bootable (such as disk, floppy, CD-ROM, NETWORK drive) are "checked" if some boot media or the program is present. Sequentially, the BIOS attempts to load the next available boot media.
In the case of no current boot media, the system tries to finally boot from the network that doesn't work not because you´re not connected to a corporate network that has sometimes things network bootable... :)
So, I suggest you to first check your BIOS (by pressing ESC, then F2) and check the "Boot sequence" if something has changed. Check if the HARD drive is located on the first entry, otherwise set it up. If so, then send your machine a partner / reseller/service because your machine then has a really serious problem.
Greetings

Hello;
Let me welcome you on the HP forums!
According to the page of the product HP for your PC, it came not with preinstalled Win10. THIS means that you have done the upgrade to Win10.While Microsoft says there is no risk in the upgrade of Win10, because they allow you to believe that you can always return to your BONES and the original installation program within 30 days, the ugly fact of the matter is that the Win10 GoBack feature turned out to be unreliable - and when she fails, she can let machines in a State corrupted - that does not always happen , but it happens often enough to be a problem and you will get no warning beforehand that he goes to the trash your PC!
If this is not enough, the Win10 upgrade is known, in some cases, corrupt partition recovery stored by the OEM that built the original machine. It's pretty much guarantee that no HP recovery will work. The problem you mentioned is usually due to one of two basic problems:
(1) defective hard drive
(2) damaged/missing bootloader files
As to the first, please follow the instructions in this link to test your hard drive: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c00439024
If that confirms that your drive has failed, then you will need to replace it. Please report back if this is the case.
As for the second, you need access to a PC for this phase of work in order to create the necessary support to fix your PC boot loader.
Once you have that, please download and create the Win10 installation media from this link: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-10/media-creation-tool-install?ocid=ms_wol_win10
Note that when you download and build install media, the default tool corresponding to what is already installed on your PC (as in home for the House, and 64-bit to 64 - bit). While you CAN change these settings, are NOT. If you do, the media that results will be different and will force you to enter a NEW product code.
Boot from the media that you have created and follow the instructions in this link: http://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/2294-advanced-startup-options-boot-windows-10-a.html
You will need to go to the Advanced Options screen and click on startup repair. You will probably need to run Startup Repair three times for him to fix all the boot loader.
Once completed, your PC should start OK.Good luck
