doubt format ARCHIVELOG

Hello guys,.

I have my doubts...

SQL > show arc setting.

log_archive_formatstringarc_%t_%s_%r.arc

but... When I saw my career, I have this:

-rw - r - 1 oracle oinstall 6, 1 M Dez 3 08:45 arc_1_3702_827053996.arc

my doubt is: why (1) arc_ after?

What I understand...

1: wire

3702: log sequence number

827053996: the id of the resetlogs.

Is it?

Thank you Srs.

  • How to specify 'archivelog' location (as /u02/ < SID > /archivelog/ < DATE >) in the DBCA Wizard?

    Hello

Oracle 11 g 2 on the file system

I have always used the default for the archivelogs location when you create a new database using "dbca. For example, if I create "orcl", dbca will do the following:

    /u01/app/oracle/fast_recovery_area/ORCL/archivelog/

And less the ' archivelog; Directory, oracle automatically creates new folders for the current date and the archivelog files stored in this folder for this date. For example:

    /u01/app/oracle/fast_recovery_area/ORCL/archivelog/2014_03_07

I was invited, for all the new databases, specify a different mount point for archivelog files (for example, ' / u02').

Now when I specify "/ u02" in the "Archive Log Destinations" in the DBCA UI, oracle begins to store all archivelog files in this folder and does not create the subfolders like /u02/< SID > /archivelog/ < DATE >.

Is there a way to tell DBCA?

    Best regards

You can set the parameter db_recovery_file_dest creating the db using dbca

    destination of archvelog,

You must set use_db_recovery_file_dest on format archivelog destination screen.it directive to use db_recovery_file_dest (fra)

  • ACFS using as a destination of the newspaper archive?

Perhaps a bit of a hair-brain idea, but...

I have my diskgroup ACFS set up for my V1 and V2 systems. We do not use it for anything because we have a batch processing server connected to the IB fabric that we run everything (batch processing, etc.) of. No need to use ACFS to export files or external tables...

On the V2, it is SYSTEMDG and it has a usable 288 GB total free space
On the V1, this is DBFS_DG and it has a usable 858 GB total free space

We have our archivelogs goes to the quick recovery area. Of course, we take great care using this diskgroup and we have various jobs/scripts that trigger if we reached a certain threshold of use and kick off a backup archivelog (with a deletion).

If I wanted to configure Flashback Database, Flashback logs should go in the area of fast recovery, according to the documentation. "If I activate the Flashback Database, Flashback logs themselves will not erase until they are required to do, that could prove difficult for our script as the FRA will always be 100% complete"

We could, I suppose, modify the script to calculate the size of the archivelogs only and use it as a trigger and, without a doubt, this is by far the easiest way, but I was wondering if anyone had use ACFS to accommodate the archivelogs.

I think you can almost put "anything" in the ACFS exception 'of Oracle files that can be stored in ASM' - this means no doubt that archivelogs ACFS is unusable.

Did anyone tried something like this? Looks like a great loss of a decent amount of space for me.

However, imagine that for the sake of argument, that I was not allowed to carry out the work to create a new diskgroup on my current system: could I put the archivelogs on DBFS_DG?

Of course, as long as DBFS_DG the level of redundancy, you need (i.e. NORMAL).

  • Doubt on the export of pages in JPG format at high resolution with Indesign

    Hello

I use to work two software, your skill of QuarkXpress and Indesign. If I had to choose one, I prefer Indesign, it is very nice and I love it, but I have to work with the software.

Well, I have a doubt about the use of Indesign method to export a page in JPG, high-resolution, because QuarkXpress do the same job, but in a different way, so my doubt is about the quality of the files produced.

It is a very technical issue, if someone with experience in the professional press and print or an Adobe expert could answer, I would be grateful.

InDesign, producing a poor quality file or QuarkXpress that producing a poor quality file?

    My question is as follows:

I opened a document in Indesign, and I decide to export it. To simplify things, we have a unique page DIN A4 document.

So I tell Indesign to export the pageand I want a JPG, high-resolution 300 DPI file.

Indesign do his job very well, and produce the file exported. This is a JPG file, there are 300 dpi.

If I open the document in Photoshopand I'm going to... Image of ... Image size...

I see the Indesign document indicates the exact measurements of a DIN A4 210 x 297 mm and the resolution of the file, I have 300 DPI.

Therefore seems to be that indesign has done a great job.

    Very well.

Now, I explain what is happening with QuarkXpress.

I do the same thing, I have a document to a single page, DIN A4 and I export it as JPG format at high resolution of 300 dpi.

Well, now QuarkXpress, create the file and I open the file in Photoshop.

    Surprise.

The file has larger than DIN A4 and a lower resolution dimensions!

Exactly, QuarkXpress produce a jpg of the following dimensions: 874,89 x 1237,9 mm and a resolution of 72 dpi

When I see 72 dpi, I think that the document is in low resolution. However, I have a larger document?

I open the QuarkXpress file in Photoshop, then I uncheck resampling, in this way Photoshop will never change the image. Now, I change the value of resolution of 72 dpi, 300 dpi, which is the value I want.

And what happens? What happens is that I get a document with measurements of a DIN A4 and also at 300 DPI.

    ???

So basically QuarkXpress does the same work in Indesign, but in a different way.

The file QuarkXpress are 2.29 MB more or less. The Indesign file are 3.84 MB more or less.

    So why these differences?

Which method is the best and why Indesign produce a different file to QuarkXpresss?

    See you soon

As far as I know, the ppi is not the required metadata for the images.

So Im guessing that Quark exports jpg ppi worthless.

But Photoshop is to assign a value of ppi when it opens an image without specified ppi value.

This value is be 72, but it could be anything, because the pixel dimensions do not change.

You are probably using the wrong quotes. Please try this:

    Function F_Department_NameFormatTrigger return Boolean is
    v_report_url varchar2(300);
    Begin
     v_report_url :='http://localhost:8888/reports/rwservlet?report=empReport.rdf&userid=hr@orcl&destype=cache&desformat=htmlcss&p_dept='||:department_id;

I have no onlinelogs on the host. I deleted all the log files from the flash and oradata recovery area before you begin the process of restoration and recovery on the host (.dbf, .log, .ctl). When I tried with "database recovery command", he gave following error (it's just the excerpt from o/p):

Ah - yes: If you remove the onlinelogs then you receive the above error because a newspaper archive does not yet exist and the onlinelog with sequence 6 is missing too.

    >

So you mean if we use up to clause with database recovery command, it always runs recovery up to n - 1. So imagine a scenario where all newspapers of recovery have been archived, if highest till SEQ that checked is generated is N, then to until I give SEQ N + 1 as up to execute it 'N' no time. Right?

It's just too. It goes same for the RCS. If you want to recover to the last SNA in a specific archivelog, you can query the column NEXT_CHANGE # of v$ archived_log , then you will run 'restore database until the SNA... "and give the RCS of NEXT_CHANGE #-because it will recover to NEXT_CHANGE #-1.

    See you soon

I doubt that this has nothing to do with your problem sending.

Used as a plain text email. Some users prefer the plain text and use nothing else.

Most users expect to be able to use the fonts, the colors, the font styles (bold, italic, underlined) and to be able to insert images and other graphic elements. To do this, you must use the HTML.

To avoid annoying the first group, you can add to your address book and set their preference for plain text, on a whim of a base.

If, say, in your workplace, it is planned to use signatures fantasies with pictures, or messages are required to comply with the internal rules regarding fonts or layout, then all related work email will need to use HTML. So you could add to your field of work (the part of the e-mail to the right of the symbol @) to the area of the HTML fields in the dialogue you have shown above. And you would probably add domains customers and suppliers too, since all your messages that will also be required to use your formal rules.

He seems to play avi, divx files ok but what other formats read it? for example, mpeg4, mpeg2 etc...
Can Toshiba or anyone who knows tell me as soon as possible, which is the biggest flaw I've found with the machine.
Also, if I put a DVD in my pc detected disks even not! Serious flaw.

What software should I in a pc to detect the Toshiba has decided to use the file format?

    Hello

Above all that it is a forum for computer/laptop Toshiba that I doubt there are many people who have experience with your standalone DVD recorder.

    But I have some advice for you;
Check the configuration settings. There should be something about the format that is supported.
Check if the HARD drive (where the films are stored) has been chosen correctly.

Maybe the videos are saved to the. Standard VOB my writer did.

How to convert Blu Ray Disc of the movie in general video and HD video formats

    Hello

I doubt that this is possible because Bluray discs are mostly protected against copying.
But if you have the Bluray m2ts file on your HARD drive, then you could try the tool called convertXtodvd. But I don't see that the reasons for this
I mean that you will lose the quality of film converting the blueray to dvd.

  • Range of SMTP Email - subject text format

Using the palette of SMTP e-mail, if I include a colon in the cable channel at the entrance of the 'Set Message Text Html.vi' object, it appears as a question mark in the email of topic in the Inbox of the recipient.

For example, sending 'Test completed at 10:00,' as the subject e-mail turns in "Test completed at 10? 00 AM"on the receiving end.

How to correctly format the string Subject to get two points on the receiving end?

The: (colon) is without a doubt a reserved character of the SMTP domain.

You can customize the content of the object in 8-bit encoding, and then use the hex value for colon (3A) to encode the colon. Try the exact topic text below; It worked for me using gmail.

    =?iso-8859-1?Q?Test completed at 10=3A00 AM?=

  • Where can I find the numerical value for GenICam standard pixel formats?

I am putting in place a structure of case for the reconstruction of image formats using the pixel as IMAQdx output format. Confirmed the consistent property of 'Pixel Format' numeric U32 in id IMAQdx from camera to camera, but it's just a number, and I don't see that the number of image formats used by the cameras I (I need code for other formats I've yet to see). The GenICam standard 1.1 supports 52 image formats, and no doubt IMAQdx has a corresponding U32 value for each format. Where can I find this list? The .pdf for the GenICam standard lists the formats available in name only and does not have a corresponding numerical value.

    Hey Nasgul

The attribute 'PixelFormat' is actually a list of name/value pairs. For GenICam cameras (such as GigE Vision) these names and these values are determined by the camera, no IMAQdx XML file. The names themselves are normalized by the part of the "Standard feature Naming Convention" of GenICam (but aren't their values).

I think you speak for the Format of Pixel property node. I think you are right that it is a digital. It's probably because the available modes can not be known before you actually run the code and the LabVIEW enumeration values must be known when editing, no compilation. The node itself as a digital is probably as a relic of the firewire interface. It would be probably more useful as a string, I imagine.

You probably want to use the generic way of manipulating the attributes instead. You initially set the property 'Attribute Active' in 'PixelFormat' and then you can then query a list of name/value pairs available or simply set the value. IMAQdx allows you to set the value directly as a string (using the standard names) rather than having to translate it into a numeric value.
