Downgrade dv6000 (HP Pavillion dv6308nr) at the request of Windows XP to Vista Home Prem

I searched the forum and have not found my specific model.

Given that so many people are posted, I thought it was important to follow the specific steps.

I can't make Vista more.

Respectfully request the steps to download and recommend what version of XP would be best? That is 32-bit or 64-bit?  I want just the speed for 1 GB of RAM I have in this thing.  Not interested in game, just faster load with all time.

Also I wish that my battery was in respect of reminder.  Never worked right... sigh.

Thank you!

Brad

Hello

Do not forget that you are using the Windows XP SP2 version. If you have not got the version SP2 here you can download this service pack

and here you guide how to integrate this file with your new system of nLite.

In this program, you can even burn your new XP cd with this driver.

    Hello

    When I turn on the laptop, all I get is a black screen after screen of the bios at startup. Never done anywhere. He won't let me go in safe mode, it will not go to any login screen. I tried Startup Repair with Vista disc, and he says that it's been fixed, but still does not start. I've done it many times. I tried to let the part installation that moves the windows to the windows.old and creates a new copy of windows, and this did not fix it. I tried hitting CTRL-ALT-DEL in the black screen and this causing the laptop to reboot.

    If anyone has any ideas, maybe something, I may have missed. I tried almost everything people have posted here. I wouldn't completely re - install if I have to.

    I move the file from my old PC which took place with Vista on a new computer running with Win 10 where I have Windows Live Mail is installed.  When I try to copy the files from Windows Mail on Vista on a USB key I get the message "you are about to copy this file without its properties".  After studying this issue on the forums, a proposed solution was to reformat the drive in NTFS format, I did.  This does not solve the problem.  Any suggestions?  Would it be OK in this case to ignore the message and copy the file without its properties?

    Well data files/user of vista should work. Yes a NTFS format is good, go to run, or cmd, type:

    diskmgmt.msc in msc, R.click on the material, delete the partition, create one, format. Use the default settings,

    Once thru, L.click the disk, go to actions, all, select 'enable '.

  • I need to know the file current date/time number stamp and the version of "spoolsv.exe" in Vista Home Premium 32-bit with SP2.

    I need to know the file current date/time number stamp and the version of "spoolsv.exe" in Vista Home Premium 32-bit with SP2. My spooler file got corrupted and I need to know what that the stamp of date/time on the latest version of the file: spoolsv.exe. I did a search on my hard drive and found 8 copies of the file with 7 different dates. I need to know which copy in my file C:\windows\system32\. I suspect that the problem was caused by some kind of malware. I think that some of the different versions on my machine of the initial installation of the Vista, SP1 and SP2. 3 copies that would explain. I tried all the suggestions in this forum and several others. I tried sfc/scannow and it simply replaces the corrupted file by another. I understand how works this file and a simple copy will do the trick if I knew that the file to use. I know that I don't want to go back to the first version of 2006.  BTW... my symptoms are all my printers have disappeared, and when I try to 'add a new printer' I get an error message saying that my spooler service does not work. When I opened my services window it shows that indeed, he is arrested, but I will not start because the description column contains only the code garbled machine indicating that the file is corrupted, or it may contain a virus. I had been using F-Prot until this virus got by and now I use AVG. I scanned my machine with several cleaning packages and it is is more infected, but I worry that from this corrupt file grow something. I know that the problem is not with my printers or drivers, because everyone on my home network can print on all of my printers. None of the people I know are on Vista 32 bit. They are all running System 7 or XP. I have XP, except that a few years ago I suffered from the "Syndrome of Pepsi" on my laptop and when I bought a new HP, it came with Vista.

    I have a laptop Lenovo bought in the spring of 2008 running on Vista Home Premium.  After years of basically no problem, I got warnings my memory was almost full.  I'm no computer guy, I'm a retired OTR trucker who now lives for people with disabilities.  I checked my system and found Lenovo had two partitions on the hard drive.  The main logic were my programs were only 30gig on a disk hard 150 gigabytes.

    After talking to some friends who know more then me and research, I copied all my personal files on a stick to 4gig and erased the hard drive.  Spent New Years day adaptation of files, wipe the HD, install Vista again and then 6 and hours of updates.

    Monday, I installed my old files, installed new software and reinstall some of my previous, as well as several updates of Windows.

    Tuesday a finer adjustment and more windows updates.

    Today, Wednesday, right off the bat I installed another Windows update.  Update has been installed, computer shut down, restarted, then the computer stopped at step 1 of 3 @ 97%.  I went for half an hour to come back to an error screen telling me I had a corrupted file and to reinstall Vista and using my factor disc repair system.  I wasn't allowed this option.

    I subsequently through trying different restarts that File:\Windows\system32\winload.exe has been corrupted or damaged or missing Windows update attempt.  Given that I had my Windows disk that I was never worried before making a boot disk.  I/we (family of 6) do not have the financial means to purchase recovery discs, go to a tech help.  We are ourselves.  Can someone help me out here?  Are all my personal details on my laptop, a lot of money and time tied up in programs, I can't access.

    I don't know how this forum works.  My email is * address email is removed from the privacy *.

    P. S.

    With all this, if I have to reinstall windows I better upgrade to a 32-bit on a 64-bit?  This will cause problems with existing programs? I see a noticeable improvement in speed?  I checked and I can't change to 64-bit.

    Hello

    Since you have a Lenovo, you can try to get to WinRE among advanced startup options (f8) and performa than a system restore or if you must organize a drive to install Windows Vista full version and try to perform a system restore in Windows recovery environment and check if that helps.

  • Pavilion dv6000: Pavilion dv6000 can't connect to the network after windows 10 upgrade from windows 7

    Need help; I have upgraded to windows 10 and my old laptop has given fresh life.  He hastened to start and stop, did not freeze the computer programs and internet was super fast.  Then it wouldn't connect all of a sudden, or even acknowledge all networks.  No internet is portable useless.  I researched and found that many had problems with card after the upgrade to windows 10, so I started windows 7 and have no problem connecting.  I had a glimpse of what was possible with windows 10 and I want it! can someone help me understand what driver I need to download it to a flash drive before moving on again to 10.

    Well, there is little hope for you, since you have an Intel wireless card.

    I have a HP nc6400 with the same card as yours and it worked very well on W10, and then he leaves suddenly.

    Not as bad than what you lived, but I had to keep restarting the machine and sometimes, it would be just the connection and would not reconnect.

    Here's what I did to solve the problem with mine, so I hope it will work for you too...

    I used this driver... a first on the list for 32 bit.

    https://Downloadcenter.Intel.com/download/22116/Intel-PROSet-Wireless-software-and-drivers-for-Windows-7-

    Then I changed some advanced settings for the card in the Device Manager.

    Here is a list type of Intel wireless settings and how to access.

    There are more settings on the link that we have for our particular model card.

    http://www.Intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/network-and-i-o/wireless-networking/000005585.html

    Here are the advanced settings, which I've listed for mine...

    Ad Hoc channel 802.11 b/g value = 11

    Mode of Ad Hoc QoS Value = active WMM

    Mixed Mode Protection value = automatically CTS

    Roaming Aggessiveness value = 1. The lowest

    Transmit power value = 5. Highest

    -J' downloaded the Nvidia 306.97-desktop-win8-win7-winvista-32bit-english-whql.exe (the pilot, that they said was more appropriate for this computer); He said that "the Nvidia Setup program cannot continue. This graphics driver cannot find compatible graphics hardware. »

    The former Vista driver may work as mentioned in the following note:

    "Use 7zip to extract everything in the folder on the desktop.

    I bought the computer hp laptop dv5 recently the config. is 3 GB of ram, 250 GB HDD, processor turion, ati radeon HD3450 & card mother amd. I have the query that, initially, the operating system installed on my machine was vista home basic 32-bit. then after I've updated in windows 7 RC1 now I want to downgrade in Vista Home Basic Edition again. can u tell me the ways on how to do with this thing. my need is I want a downgrade frm 7 to vista home basic and I don't want to do a clean install of Vista Home Basic, because I have my entire data on drive c. ND it's hard for me to backup large amounts of data. I have also 2 discs of recovery came with my laptop. In addition to this, please tell me if I can move from 32-bit vista to 64-bit according to the config. given above.

    You must do a clean install to Windows Vista Home Basic to Windows 7.

    External hard drives are a good way to back up large volumes of data

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Vista 32-bit to 64-bit Vista is NOT an upgrade path.
    You will need to BUY a FULL 64 bit Vista operating system version and do a CLEAN install of it.
    Ask the manufacturer of your computer are them, 64-bit versions of Vista support in your model of laptop.
