Download iTunes single episode problem

Hello

I watched the first episode of a series and deleted from iPad after use. I selected second episode to download but iTunes is trying to download two episodes and do not suspend or remove the download if the first episode... I don't have enough storage for both, and even if I do I certainly won't have enough storage for all downloading at the same time... Any help is appreciated! Thank you

Hello Eilah_Rose!

What you have said, you are eager to stop the download of the first episode of the TV series, so you are able to watch the second episode after seeing the first. I certainly wish I could watch my show and we can check a few things.

If you have not yet, go ahead with closing force of the app Store in iTunes and restart the iPad:

Force an application to Close on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch - Apple Support

Restart your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch - Apple Support

So before you try to redownload the second episode, you can check the settings > iTunes and App Store and disable automatic downloads in case that was and could be behind the first episode still downloading.

Best wishes.

    Greetings Dani56777,

Thank you for using communities Support from Apple!

I understand that you run Windows 10 and you must update iTunes to the latest version so that your iPhone will be recognized when connected. I do not know if you receive an error when you try to update iTunes or not.

If you need information on how to update iTunes, please follow the instructions in the following link.

Download the latest version of iTunes for Windows - Apple Support

If you receive an error or alert, you can consider removing iTunes and all of its associated components and then reinstalling fresh iTunes on your computer. That would give you the latest version of iTunes. If you need execute this process, please follow the steps described in the following article.

Remove iTunes Control Panel and its associated components

Use the control panel to uninstall iTunes and software components in the following order:

    1. iTunes
    2. Apple Software Update
    3. Apple Mobile Device Support
    4. Hello
    5. Apple Application Support 32-bit
    6. Apple Application Support 64-bit

On some systems, iTunes can install two versions of the Apple Application Support. What is expected. If both are present, do not forget to uninstall both versions.

Do these elements in a different order, uninstall or uninstall only some of them. This could have unintended effects. After you uninstall a component, you may be asked to restart your computer. Wait to restart your computer until you finish remove all components.

Download, install and run the Windows Installer cleanup Utility at: http://www.softpedia.com/progDownload/Windows-Installer-CleanUp-Utility-Download-18442.html and then try installation again to see if that helped.

If that doesn't work, put the installation on your desktop icon and right-click on it and click on run as administrator and see if that makes a difference.

If not, request the assistance of the technical support forums and iTunes at: http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/ and http://discussions.apple.com/category.jspa?categoryID=149.

  • Download iTunes to recognize my iPhone 6 times out of 10 Windows.

I use iExplorer to backup my iPhone 6.  When I was a little cleaning up files via Panel control WIndows 10 I deleted iTunes on my PC because I never use it. (I did not remove a file or a program that did not have a name that I recognized as an application I installed, but no longer use.  If I had doubts, I did not hit delete.)

After I deleted iTunes iExplorer would not see my phone, I found. It turns out that iExplorer using iTunes. So I downloaded and reinstalled the 64-bit version of iTunes for Windows 10.  (iExplore said if your phone is not recognized, verify that it is recognized in iTunes first. So I've been focused on fulfilling that.)

I'm sure that iTunes is updated.  I've updated the iOS on my iPhone 6. I made 10 Windows is updated. When I plug my iPhone on my PC using a USB cable, the computer asks me if I know the PC and let him access to my iPhone. So I know that the phone is recognized by the PC through the cable.  But when I go to iTunes and pull down the FILE menu and select DEVICES, everything is gray.  I tried the update level, reboot, reboot and connect it in different orders, using different USB cables, using different USB ports on my HP PC Envy.  iTunes will not see my iPhone as it was when I bought my Windows 10 PC.

Today, someone suggested that I try another PC.  Then at work, I downloaded iTunes on my Windows 7 PC. Once it was installed I plugged my iPhone with a USB cable.  iTunes recognized my phone without problem.

Then I came home and uninstalled iTune.  Then I downloaded a new copy and reinstalled.  He still does not recognize my phone.

  • Update iTunes 10 Windows problem and Solution

I have a solution that worked for me, when Apple's CEO did not all trying to update iTunes 10 Windows.  I do not claim that their solution was bad, just that it has not resolved the problem for me, but lead me to the solution that did.

The problem I had was that during the update, I would like to get the package of Windows error message that wouldn't let him proceed in process.  "There is a problem with this Windows Installer package.  A program required for this install to complete could not be run.  Contact your supplier of staff or the package of support ".

THE SOLUTION: click on the Windows icon and go to settings > system > applications and features.  Click on Apple software update > change > change > repair

Once the repair has been completed, I was able to install iTunes without any problems.

How I found this solution: I tried the recommendation to Apple for this message exact error uninstall and reinstall iTunes, who had the same error message.  The next step was to uninstall QuickTime and iTunes, then the Apple Software Update.  At this point, the Apple software update wouldn't uninstall and generated the same error of Windows package as described above.  I fixed Apple Software Update and rather than proceed with the rest of the facilities, I advanced and installed iTunes.  He worked like a champ and he saved me a bunch of times.

    Thanks Airshipguy. It really worked.

I have not tried all the recommendations of Apple support, being out of pocket for the time and also the uncertainty of losing the settings. Before you read this post, I tried to repair only iTunes. After reading the post above, I fixed all facilities Apple in a sequence such that the last of them was that of "Apple Software Update". I made this sequence intuitively and have no scientific reason.

For those who need to be more aware of 10 Windows, right click the windows button, select "Programs and features" and then search for Apple. As indicated in the post above, it's the "Apple Software Update" that did the trick.

My response was to reassure people that it works. Often, a single post does not give that confidence to give it a go!
