  On my satellite Download Manager has stopped working and I can't download the microsoft including vista service pack 2 updates. I have Vista Home Premium and little idea how computers work.

  I still use google chrome with my Windows Vista PC. Usually plugin chrome automatically updates the latest version of adobe flash player. Sites, I will say that I have to update and head for the download of adobe. I deselect Mccaffee and then try to download. I have to Save it and then click on run, etc., but the installation stops with a message that "Adobe Download Manager has stopped working" and then another message "I want to report to Microsoft", etc..

  Follow these methods and check

   

  Method 1:  If you are still not able to start the desktop computer, you can rename pending.xml and check.
  Renaming or removing the pending.xml file booting from the Windows Vista disc.
  a. Insert the installation disc.
  b. restart your computer.
  c.Press any key to load the disc.

  Note: If your computer is not configured to start from a CD or a DVD, see the documentation provided with your computer. You may need to change your computer's BIOS settings.
  d. choose your language settings, and then click Next.
  e. in the System Recovery Options menu, click command prompt
  f. at a command prompt, type the following command below and press ENTER
  CD C:\windows\winsxs

  g. now, type ren pending.xml pending.old , and then press ENTER.
  Restart the computer and check.

  I can't download PES 11 from the adobe site.  I press the download button and the ADA app is supposed to install.  I tried this on 2 machines, a win 7 a 8 and in both cases victory when you press the button on downlad all you get is an inline message saying install the ADA, but then NOTHING

  Since your last post, it seems that the problem is now solved.

  I purchased and downloaded the program from the Adobe site.  Prepare to get a new computer and want to move a new program.  I guess the best way to proceed would be to burn a copy of the program on the disk.  Is this done by programs - adobe - pse and burn it or is there something more I need to do?

  You will need to burn to a disc or copy to another external store the actual product installation files, not the program already installed. If you purchased the software from the Adobe online store, you can always eventually connect and download PES on your new computer.
