  Hi all

  I want to perform a factory reset on my Mac and I wonder if I need to be connected to the Internet to do this? If this is the case, what download size I look? I have only 10 GB of data through my ISP.

  I have XP Home Edition and trying to download SP3.  Get SP3 download size 0 KB.  Need help please.  I read other messages and the moderator or tech always asking if there was already a trial of Norton on the pc version, Yes and also the full version of Norton Internet Security at the same time.  I made a couple of recoveries to this pc, the first time a non - destructive so I could save the data.  Rebooted and tried to install SP 3 then but pc crashed.  And then made a destructive recovery, which took back to the State of the plant AND deleted the data...  Uninstalled Norton after that.

  Please help me understand how to download SP3 successfully.  Thank you very much.

  Well, you MUST perform other destructive recovery (fresh) to solve your current situation, Yes. Once, again follow the instructions here to-the-letter & in order. In short:

  1 do a destructive recovery.

  2 uninstall the Norton application.

  3. run the Norton removal tool.

  4. install AVG (or, preferably, Microsoft Security Essentials - free but MUCH more reliable & fully supported in IE7 and IE8).

  5. open Internet Explorer (only) to http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971058 run the difficulty in DEFAULT then modes & AGGRESSIVE; and then restart.  [Believe me here!]

  6. install SP3, either manually, or through http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com. restart TWICE.

  7 rerun manually check for updates at http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com and install all updates critical security offered; Follow all the instructions.

  8 repeat above #7 until no more updates of security are offered.

  Tip: Do NOT install IE8 via Windows Update! Just 'hide' for now.

  Tip: If an update of the root certificates is listed (possibly in the category of updates software optional on the left side of the scan results window), install it to enjoy enhanced Internet Explorer security.

  Tip: Also install KB971029, also listed in the optional software category.

  The maximum size of files that can be downloaded is configured in the web.xml file. the doc:

  Configuration

  Because ADF Faces will temporarily store the files by default, incoming (on disk or in memory), it limits the size of acceptable incoming requests to avoid denial of service attacks that could try to fill a memory disk or a flood lasts with downloaded files. By default, only the first 100 kilobytes in any query will be stored in memory. Once that has been completed, will serve as disk space. Yet once, by default, which is limited to 2 000 kilobytes of disk space for a request for all of the files combined. Once these limits are exceeded, the filter will throw a EOFException . • General download size issues

  Hi - We have a DPS multi-folio app which has gone live. New issues are released each year. We have now two folios released, each measuring more than 500 GB. It's a bit inevitable due to the required amount of content: more than 100 pages with multi-state objects, hundreds of photos and dozens of interactive .oam files. I have two questions:

  • Are there best practices on how best to reduce the overall size of a folio downloading without sacrificing quality?

  • Is there a way to download just the newest folio in a DPS app instead of back issues as well? I wonder how, for example, a magazine like Esquire manages the issues already published while maintaining a size manageable download for its viewers.

  I assume you are talking about 500 MB.

  The user can choose download some folio he or she wants.

  For smaller files sizes wand to the articles of the unique orientation PDF 1024 x 768. Compress the videos as much as possible and if view you online adapted to the dimensions appropriate instead of scaling in InDesign. You can also consider streaming video.

  PS is not sure if it makes a difference, but I use Chrome browser, however IE Explorer is installed on the PC.

  Drivers often fail Windows Update (WU).

  Download the Intel driver update utility and see if it offers an update.  Chances are it will not, and this means that the WU update is simply not true.  If this is the case, do a right-click on this update and choose hide.

  Intel driver update utility is one of the very few sources of trusted driver update.  First source of choice is always the OEM of your machine.  Most of the utilities update the driver on the web is virtual scams.  Much malware, very few or even no valid driver updates.
