  Well, the problem is resolved.  I have the AMD processor.  During the installation of sp3, it changed some registry values and we had to come in and change their return.   The people at microsoft were great and walked me through the process.   For your reference # 800 936 2909 if is1 you need to solve a problem.   Thank you

  There is no SP3 for Vista. The reference to SP3 you saw must refer to another product on your computer, such as Office.

  I'm having a problem with windows XP Edition family and service pack 3.   This error indicates that the download is corrupted or it is corrupted on your hard drive.

  Maybe try and delete all temporary internet files, run the check disk etc and then try the download or download from another computer.
