  Your device requires at least Camera Raw 8.7. Photoshop CS5 cannot deal with this version. You will need to download and use the free DNG Converter to create DNG copies that you can work with Photoshop CS5.

  Support for the camera has been added in the latest version of Lightroom, version 5.7.1. After you download Camera Raw 8.7.1 will have no effect on Lightroom because Lightroom does not use plug in Camera Raw. You must ensure that you have updated Lightroom to the latest version in order to have support for this camera.

  The A6000 was first supported in Camera Raw 8.4 (and later versions).

  CS6 on OS X 10.6.8 is only compatible with Camera Raw to version 8.3.

  It seems that this camera has been added in Lightroom 5.5. This means that there will be support for that camera to version 5.5 to leave, but there is no support for the camera in previous versions. You can upgrade to Lightroom 5 and that support. Or you can use the DNG Converter to create copies of your raw images that you can use DNG in the Lightroom you have now. Here are the published list of cameras supported by Lightroom and Camera Raw:

  You can use the free Adobe DNG converter to convert the files to DNG, which will allow you to import and edit them in Lr 4. Otherwise, you will need to switch to Lightroom 6

  I have the version of Adobe CS 5 and Lightroom 3 student and my camera Sony Alpha 350 is lacking so that I have to fix it or buy a new one compare www.sony.at/electronics/kameras. But I read on the internet that various new cameras from Sony are not same compaitble with Adobe CS 6.   Under the calibration of the camera in Lightroom, I see not all parameters for my Sony Alpha 550. I have the latest downloads and according to the lists, I see that my files camera RAW should be supported. Yet there is nothing when I press profile. Any thoughts?

• PSE8 question: is there a plugin for Sony Alpha A550?

  Sony Alpha A550 is supported in some updates, but it is is not clear to me if the updates are compatible with PSE8.

  The last plugin raw from the camera to pse8 is 6.2, which should open your files from sony (A550).

  Yes, I know there is a lens profile Creator application, but it would be useful to have the 'official' Adobe profiles, please.  Those of use of SONY Alpha cameras are not necessarily trust / capable in terms of creating our own profiles. .  It would be good to have in the next update of Lightroom 5!
