  Hello... I just bought this all-in-one today, and it is printing very well.  The problem is with the copy and scan.  No matter if I place the original on the scanner or the top of the page, the result is the same... sheet is covered with black lines of variable thickness, running up and down the page, while the details of the actual document are barely visible underneath (or colored lines if I select color printing).

  Not an expert tech by any means, so hard to solve this problem.  Have re-installed... rebooted the printer cartridges... try to print with a cartridge installed... nothing work so far.

  Any help or advice is welcome and appreciated!

  I see you got black lines during the scanning of the bucket and the ADF. I can help you with this.

  I would like to do a hard reset to see if that will solve the problem.
  Let the printer and disconnect the printer cable and the wall socket for 60 seconds.
  Reconnect the power cable to the output of the printer and the wall, and not a surge protector.
  This ensures that the printer is full on and can help this situation.

  All of a sudden happened during the scan I get half of the color of black (dark grey) page. Page is cut vertically.

  Please can someone help. Shud I go to service. I tray to change to the USB cable is no difference.

  I find relays... to help others with the same problems... semi full reset solve my problem.

  ... combo would be: - 'print picture' + "red eye removal" buttons who - printer not ask you to enter the combo - release the buttons you press - press "red eye", "print photo", "red eye" in the order - scroll down or to the right until you find resets menu - press on ok - do scroll down or right until you find semi full reset - press ok
  -your printer should turn off, wait for 3 minutes before turning on the printer.   .....

  That's my scans are now OK!

  We are a small business owner and newly installed 3 HP1212nf MFP printer on the network, all my clients PC have at least two printers installed as backup to another. All is well as far as printing is concerned, but I have a problem with scanning. There is no other choice, I could well to select the specific device when scanning the document. the HP software named "scan to" default is by scanning the 1st device installed on any PC. is it possible to select a specific device during the scan on the network?

  After test, I found that the scan to application doesn't have the ability to designate between same model printers. This is normal on this printer laserjet consumer software.

  OK, I tried 5 times to install windows 8 by using the downloaded Update widows Pro

  I've updated the BIOS and other drivers and the only issue is to use the upgrade wizard is UEFI is not compatiable that shouldn't be a problem anyway
  So here's the BLACK SCREEN problem, I get all along to install past loan, after adjustment of the apparatus, after preparation, all the way to the end and then it gives just black screen until I power it turns off or reset and says windows 8 could not restore windows I get no error code or any hint of why there not everyone had an idea Yes stay with windows 7 is an excellent option, but I would try and brand and make informed decisions.

  I'm sorry to know that have problems you with the Installation of Windows 8. As I understand it, you get a black screen during the Installation of Windows 8.

  I need to ask you some questions to help you best.

  1. What is the brand and model of the computer?

  2 are the external devices connected to the computer?

  Method 1: disconnect any external devices (except keyboard and mouse) and then install Windows 8 and check.

  Method 2: Select the edge device devices in device/integrated graphic of BIOS (Basic Input output device) and check.

  Warning: Be careful when you change the BIOS settings. The BIOS interface is designed for advanced users, and it is possible to change a setting that can prevent your computer from starting properly.   If the black stripe is stationairy you can use a mask to isolate a good piece of wall one drop on the original clip

  I appoligize we do not have a program scrub for this software package. I would like that restart you the equipment in the following order. Turn off the router, printer & computer and reboot the router. Once the router is completely reloaded start the printer and the computer. Let me know if you can scan using the HP software. If you are unable to scan using the HP software open paint and try scanning from Microsoft Paint.

If I wait until the scanner end I get only part of the page, with the background that half left in white.  That is what it is?   I used this Toshiba Satellite P55W-C laptop sucessfully for scanning and printing since I was 6 months ago and had a very easy installation. They are entirely compatible.

I thought I had done this, but all I did was to remove the printer from the list of printers and devices. I had not actually entered in the list of programs and deleted all the driver and related information.

  my end of 2013 Mac Pro 6.1 (OSX 10.10.5) takes unusually long to start (a few minutes) since a few days ago.

  So the first step for me is to run the Diagnostics by Apple to exclude any material based questions.
