  You can use the free Adobe DNG converter to convert the files to DNG, which will allow you to import and edit them in Lr 4. Otherwise, you will need to switch to Lightroom 6

  Support for the camera has been added in the latest version of Lightroom, version 5.7.1. After you download Camera Raw 8.7.1 will have no effect on Lightroom because Lightroom does not use plug in Camera Raw. You must ensure that you have updated Lightroom to the latest version in order to have support for this camera.

  It seems that this camera has been added in Lightroom 5.5. This means that there will be support for that camera to version 5.5 to leave, but there is no support for the camera in previous versions. You can upgrade to Lightroom 5 and that support. Or you can use the DNG Converter to create copies of your raw images that you can use DNG in the Lightroom you have now. Here are the published list of cameras supported by Lightroom and Camera Raw:

• Calibration of the camera in Lightroom for Sony Alpha 550

  Under the calibration of the camera in Lightroom, I see not all parameters for my Sony Alpha 550. I have the latest downloads and according to the lists, I see that my files camera RAW should be supported. Yet there is nothing when I press profile. Any thoughts?

  I have the version of Adobe CS 5 and Lightroom 3 student and my camera Sony Alpha 350 is lacking so that I have to fix it or buy a new one compare www.sony.at/electronics/kameras. But I read on the internet that various new cameras from Sony are not same compaitble with Adobe CS 6.   Yes, I know there is a lens profile Creator application, but it would be useful to have the 'official' Adobe profiles, please.  Those of use of SONY Alpha cameras are not necessarily trust / capable in terms of creating our own profiles. .  It would be good to have in the next update of Lightroom 5!

  You must download the Adobe Lens Downloader links I have provided and install. It is a "Companion" to the lens profile Creator application. Then select "Camera Maker" SONY. What nodel (s) Sony Alpha camera do you use?

  It does not really matter that much.  Right-click on a clip, and then select new sequence of the Clip.  That will get you going.

  Your device requires at least Camera Raw 8.7. Photoshop CS5 cannot deal with this version. You will need to download and use the free DNG Converter to create DNG copies that you can work with Photoshop CS5.

  This camera is supported in Camera Raw 6.6 and newer. This means that you need to Photoshop CS5 or newer version to have the support of the camera. What version of Photoshop are you using?

  You cannot import this file camera RAW directly. 5.x.x LR does not support this camera and never will be.

  You will need to use the latest version of the free Adobe DNG converter program to convert these ARW files into DNG files.
