DRIVE D: (14FR) drive is complete without space.

I HAVE A vista OS and 2 partitions C: & D: Home drivers it is full and ask you to help

How fix a D: drive (14 GB) is complete without space and C: drive a (125 GB) of space, can format a D: drive only. Please advise me. Thank you.

Hello

As the size of your partition D: is 14GBs, it would be your recovery Partition.

Your recovery Partition was photographed on your hard drive during the production of your computer by the manufacturer for all of these reasons.

1. to reinstall Vista from in the case of a failure of the system, based on individuals or the keys at startup.

F10 or Alt + F10 or F11 are a couple of different manufacturers use sequences.

You will need to ask your manufacturer for proper sequence.

2. to make the recovery disks on if your drive hard breaks down, so that you can then reinstall the operating system on a new hard drive.

Also ask them how to make records.

Your D: Recovery Drive is should not be used for backups, defragmented, etc..

There are backups on an external hard drive.

To resolve the problems that have arisen with the recovery D: Partition, you will need to contact the manufacturer of your computer to remove all that has been added to it.

See you soon.

  • Partitioning hard drive, I want to spend 30/40 GB drive and the remaining space for the creation of other partitions.

I created a recovery disc for my system that I bought the new laptop.
It consist of 500 GB HARD drive, now the problem is the C - drive which is my WIN7 Home Basic installed occupies 400 GB of space and the D-drive has only 25 GB.
My problem is I want to partition the drive C so that the other player must occupy the space according to my condition.
But here its only gives me half the space to shrink.
I mean, when I opened diskmgmt to shrink, C this is 200 GB disk space allotted to me.
Medium I can use this space to create other partitions, but what I want is, I want to spend 30/40 GB C drive and the remaining space for the creation of other partitions.

That's what we tried to tell you. An OEM installation does not lend itself to change and having to clear guarantees for re-setup means that you must be quite certain that you have other reliable ways to re-setup.

If you want to dabble with Linux or dual boot, you should buy a complete commercial edition of Windows 7 that will give you more flexibility and accept that for drivers etc, you're on your own...

  • Display driver cannot complete installation on Qosmio G30-137

I just bought qosmio g30-137 of the Germany. My laptop had a German version of windows and I installed winXP PRO Greek edition. I have a problem with the graphics card driver. I downloaded from the TOSHIBA site. While I do Setup search the driver files that does not exist and I can't complete installation. I would like to know if anyone knows where I can find a driver to complete the procedure or if anyone knows what the problem is and how I resolve?
Also starting from TOSHIBA site some installation instructions that explain how to do the installation with the appropriate sequence. Also, I would like to know where I can find the chipset driver?

    Hello

Have you installed the Windows from the original CD of Microsoft?
Why you suggest that the graphics driver has a malfunction?

I guess you can not complete the original installation of the Win operating system due to the RAID driver and graphics driver. This unit has been delivered with RAID function and you need to install the RAID driver at the beginning of the installation of the OS.

In addition there is also an instruction and installation utility chipset on the Toshiba driver page.

Thanks for posting in the Microsoft community.

    Method 1:

If you are using windows 7, I suggest to perform a disk cleanup and verify.

  • Looking for driver 92HD91 IDT without Beats Audio

I just got a HP Touchsmart 320-1122LA because he needed an all-in-one solution and because it has a touch screen. My required use is for professional audio processing, so any function 'boost' the dynamics of the sound or add any EQ setting is not accurate for my needs, it includes when no ASIO driver is used, as with normal sound reproduction (because I listen to sound sources too without going through any ASIO driver).

Beats Audio enabled use audio improvements (compression, strengthening of sound intensity), I tried to turn off the feature, but when he arrives, the sound becomes a shit: low frequencies are disappearing (crappy thing, I'm very angry, very angry because that , it didn't happen when I disable one of the features of backup with my laptop HP G42-362LA) (, which is not "Audio Beats" and low frequencies are not cut sounds very well and very well), so I check that Beats Audio essentially try to lie to the consumer with a "low sound quality" which is more than a sound filtered bass. I don't care your marketing strategies, but I care about what I get my money and I want a driver that works without any processing of the sound without cutting off low frequencies when I disable this function of "sound directly from heaven.

Said that, I need a full IDT 92HD91 audio driver without Beats Audio and cut out any of my frequencies. HP, can you be nice to give me this driver, as in your support page only "Beats Audio" driver is available? If not, can you let me know how to solve the problem?

    Thank you.

    Hi frrw:

Tried your solution but did not work. This IDT audio driver is not appropriate for this version of the equipment.

I solved the problem mainly by uninstalling native IDT Audio Controller "Programs and features" on the Control Panel, then reboot. Windows 7 automatically loads any other generic driver.

On your statement: "I don't think it Beats Audio software problem but the speakers themselves is the real question." mmm... I use these same speakers (professional studio attached to a studio mixer) with very different sound sources (other computers, DJing, instruments) and is clear to me that the Beats Audio made down the low frequencies when disabled because it did not happen when using another sound source. My suggestion for HP is essentially to be honest with consumers with no trying to simulate a "poor sound quality' (at least I have the impression that arise since this problem happened), as nobody does the option inside Beats Audio abled get 'normal' sounding (0dB not equalized sound) frequencies. Beats Audio feature is attractive in itself because it is directly related with the quality by the consumer, so I can understand that the sound is standard with Beats Audio activated, compressed, loudness becomes strengthened and overall EQ tweaked (and really cool). This is no cool, it's that I said before. There is no need to do that. I'm a loyal buyer of HP for 10 years (at least I have buyed 10 HP devices) and this is the first time that I have a similar problem.

In any case, thank you for your support. Best wishes.

Hello bethandbeacon.  I understand that you do not want to move some of your files.

On most computers HP the D:\ drive is the recovery Partition.  You really should not move the files to this partition.  It is only to reinstall your operating system if something were to go wrong.

If you are running low on space, you can try the tips in this article in order to free more space.

  • Can save us from the Windows updates to another drive to increase disk space

Hi I want to ask I can save the update of Windows to another example of player: as d ' drive, or an external hard drive, because the update are by default save to my c drive. And my c disk space becomes low.

    Hello

Thanks for posting your question on the Microsoft community.

Thank you for your query details.

I also appreciate that fact that you want to save the updates of Windows on another drive or location in order to increase the free space in C; drive.

Save updates of Windows on another drive location is not recommended because it can cause corruption in the system files which can lead to some unstable operating system. It can also affect Windows start the process.

Updates are automatically downloaded into the subfolder "C:\WINDOWS\Software Distribution\Download".

If you want to increase the disk space, I suggest you run Disk Cleanup and check if it helps.

    Please see this link:
    Delete files using disk cleanup
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/delete-files-using-disk-cleanup#delete-files-using-disk-cleanup=Windows-7

It removes temporary files, empty the "Recycle Bin", and removes a variety of file system and other items that you no longer need.

Note: When running Disk Cleanup on the disk hard if bad data files are found, all these data could be lost.

I also recommend move your data files stored on drive C: to another drive to increase disk space.

  • How many times we can compress drive to save disk space

    * Original title: when you "compress this drive to save disk space"... ('C' properties, general tab... {Computer, properties of 'C'}

is it a one time thing... or you can do it later? .... If so, how, exactly? Looks like I checked this box once before on another computer, then later, there's nothing to check... Please explain.

    Thank you.

    Windows 7 Home Premium

Defragmenting a disk or file and compressing a disk or a file, are different processes. If you choose to compress a drive, it is from a service that is then configured to run whenever Windows is running. This service will compress the data 'on the fly' so that it will take less disk space (IE it has drive lower cost). And decompress it 'on the fly' when the read data is the queries executed.

Therefore, the disk compression on or active, it's on. It cannot be activated twice.

Disk defragmentation is something different. The details can become complex, but the idea is simple. When operating, it reorganizes the data on the drive so that it is each file with all togrether and in order (as much as possible). Also, frequently used files can be placed on the disk where they can access quickly. Thus, System defrag schedules to make time - to-time, when the system is not otherwise busy.

    I hope this helps.
