  I've implemented a Windows Server 2012 and try to get the FTP on SSL work. Without SSL FTP works fine. With SSL, I can connect properly, can download files, but can not download. I tried as a client WinSCP and Filezilla. To avoid firewall problems, I used Filezilla same local on the server.

  Hi all

  I'm trying to become more proficient with Windows Server OS.  I installed Windows Server 2012 r2 on an older laptop (HP ProBook 6565-b) of the mine because the base OS (not remote communication in).  I'm wanting to add a second monitor to this machine, for either extending display, or simply duplicate, if I close the lid-if I can use my screen a lot nicer, bigger than what is connected to the laptop.

  I read through all the posts on double monitor support for Windows server, but have had no luck so far with suggestions that I have ad (updated & reinstall the drivers, etc..).  I also had a cheap USB to VGA external video card (Startech.com) I tried to use... no luck.  Before I installed Windows Server 2012, I got this working environment in Windows 7 and 10 on this laptop, so I think the graphics card is supported?  I wonder if this is even possible or if I'm wasting my time?

  Any idea on how I can make this work would be greatly appreciated.

• Can not remove the print server role (Windows server 2012)

  I have a small question... I'm trying to remove a role (print server) on my Windows Server 2012. (Yes I know, I need to go to "Add/Remove role")

  

  but each time, the server establishes the uninstall procedure, but when it's time to restart and complete the procedure... the server fail and cancel everything... so in the end I always install the print server.

  

  I try to stop a link of service in this role (as a spooler, printing...) but samething.

  If anyone can help me, I really appreciate it.

  We have an application that runs on multiple virtual machines of Windows Server 2012. The same version of the application runs correctly on all machines except one. On the race we get repeated .NET runtime, error messages in the Windows Event Viewer.

  I checked the windows crash dump and you can observe the message.

  I couldn't find a reason for this behavior on a specific system. Can anyone provide some tips on why or how to fix?

  This particular configuration is with Coldfusion 11. There is no errors in newspapers and the w3 service still works as are application pools. All websites and app pools run with transmission of authentication request.

  ColdFusion does not work with windows authentication and may be enforced as if reconfigured integrated instance to do this, if this isn't a matter of colfusion.

  Here is what I tried:

  1 I created a new user account with admin rights and disconnected and logged in as them and then make changes to the password on the server, and that didn't make a difference.
  2. I checked that all Web sites using the request pass through authentication.
  3. I checked that the application pool is also using the application-pass-through authentication.
  4. I looked to find errors in which case newspapers but don't see anything there either
  5. I also searched a failure in coldfusion logs and saw no more relevant here either, but I got colfusion running without IIS in any case.
  6. search of the roots of web for coded passwords hard and found nothing.

  For the past 3 months my server 2012 no R2 VM was the fault of updates. If this is an update to Windows Server 2012, it fails. It is not related to an update of the server 2012 specific windows, but they all fail. I can run updates updates/Silverlight IE without any problem.  After that I installed them and restart it gets stuck on configures updates 67% then eventually restarts and returns and sometimes it does not many times. • Windows Server 2012 - error 80240440 in windows update

  I finished a completely new installation of Windows Server 2012 R2 on an SSD fully formatted in a new server Dell T20. Installation seems successful outside of Windows Update, the inability to run, the slightest error in the error 80240440, which seems to indicate that the remote connection has been terminated. I checked that other PC (Windows 8) can successfully run Windows Update, it seems that the problem is limited to this Server 2012 machine. Anyone can suggest a solution or approach I want to install other software, until the installation works properly.
