    Hello tmprather,

If this happens when you try to download the file from the HP website, that might help:

When you try to download the full software functionality for the Photosmart C6280 for Windows XP or Vista, this is the link that opens when you click the download button:

    FTP://ftp.HP.com/pub/softlib/software10/COL19845/MP-52268-5/100_228_PS_AIO_02_Full_Net_enu_NB.exe

Change the first "ftp" to "http" in the address field so that the link looks like this:

    http://ftp.HP.com/pub/softlib/software10/COL19845/MP-52268-5/100_228_PS_AIO_02_Full_Net_enu_NB.exe

Press enter and you should be able to download the file. When it's done downloading, simply double-click on the file and the installation should begin.

  • Driver of HP Photosmart C6280 printer problem

    Hello!

I bought the above mentioned model printer, and I installed the drivers in the manner recommended by the manual. The printer works well and does what I expect from him. But there is one thing that annoys me.

The printer is connected to my home network

Drivers are installed on all (two) computers in my house.

On my old trusty laptop running Windows XP Pro, it works very well, but when I connect it to a network in other places, a svchost.exe process starts to run at 100% and to use all free CPU resources in my computer. This svchost running a process called HPSLPSVC. If I reconnect the computer on my home network, it comes down to normal loads of CPU again.

Is it possible to 'reverse', the printing software to say when I'm not at home? This situation of CPU load makes the computer run the much more common fan, which is annoying in addition to one.

I hope to have this work, or I'll be forced to install a queue shared on my home server.

    / Noralf

  • I've recently updated to Mac OS x 10.6.8. Now, my HP Photosmart C6280 print only on one side.

I did a duplex for years, and it's actually one of the features of the printer that I use most often.  It's very upsetting to access this feature disappear.

    I went to < system="" preferences="" print="" options&supplies="" driver=""> > and titled "HP" accessory of double-sided (duplexer) printing is checked.

I unchecked it and closed, then reopened and checked system preferences box of printing double-sided again.  No change.

I have restarted the computer - no change.

Simply the "duplex printing" option does not appear in the print dialog box.

My update of the Apple software is up-to-date.

    What should I do?

I found another post on this forum, on scanning not working not not under Snow Leopard ("MacBook Pro Snow Leopard OS HP C4280 not sweeping").  There was a response from a staff member of HP who introduced me to the "washer".  I've "cleaned" all HP applications, then re-installed Apple (not HP) and - to my great relief - duplex printing control finally appeared in the print dialog box.  I have now printed both sides successfully, and the case is resolved.

    Hi @Ron9871,

I see that you are unable to get your printer HP Photosmart C6280 wireless printing. I'd be happy to help you and don't forget to come back to this thread and check "Accept as Solution", if I have successfully helped solve you the problem. If you want to say 'Thank you' to my effort to help, click on the "thumbs up" to give me a Kudos.

I would like to try the steps in this guide, "offline" Status Message printer (Windows 10).

If the problem persists, you may encounter an IP address conflict. It's a good idea to assign the printer a static IP address outside your DHCP range. For example, some routers default DHCP is located between 192.168.0.100 to 192.168.0.200. So, I would use 192.168.0.232.

    • Print a Page of Network Configuration menu of the printer front panel. Note: the IPV4 IP.
    • Type the IP address in the browser to bring up the SAP.
    • Choose the network tab, then wireless on the left side, and then select the IPv4 tab.
    • Select Manual IP.
    • Enter your IP address manual (192.168.0.232)
    • Enter 255.255.255.0 for the subnet mask, except if it is different.
    • Enter the IP address of your router that sits on the Network Configuration Page) for the default gateway.
    • Please, click on manual DNS server. For the preferred DNS Server Manual please enter 8.8.8.8 and the Alternate DNS Server Manual, please enter 8.8.4.4.
    • Click on apply.

Please restart the router, the printer and the computer in this sequence.

If you're still having problems, please download and run the print and Scan doctor, it will be probably diagnose and fix the problem you are experiencing.

What were the results when you ran the Print and Scan Doctor? (she print or scan, error messages)

You can try to change your WSD printer port by a Standard TCP/IP port.

To do this, you will need your current IP address printers.  The Network Setup page shows the parameters of network for the product. To print this page; Press the button of network () on the control panel of the product.

  • Manually uninstalling the program driver struggling for Photosmart C6280

I had problems that motivated me to uninstall and reinstall my driver. Unfortunately, the uninstall program has been damaged and did nothing. I tried to reinstall it on top of the current program but the Installer did not provide this option when he saw that the program was. I tried HP Print and Scan doctor but he said everything was fine.

I tried to uninstall manually. I removed startup entries, registry entries and most of the files in the directory of Hewlett-Packard. 4 files will not delete even if I thought I had all the startup items. It says: "cannot delete hpqddcmn: access denied." Make sure that the disk is not full or write protected and that the file is not currently in use. »

My printer is a HP Photosmart C6280 all-in-One.
    I have Windows XP SP3
The printer is connected by USB cable

    Ok no problem.

If the C6280 software has been downloaded and extracted to your system:
    1. type % temp % in the field of race
    2. Locate and open the folder starting with 7z (example: 7zS2356)
    3 open the Util folder
    4 open the CCC folder
    5. If you have an HP computer, run the L3uninstall.exe. If you have a computer not HP, run the L4uninstall.exe
    6. once the uninstall is complete, restart the computer
7 run the Accessories\ System Tools Disk Cleanup

    Hello

I have a problem with my HP 6280 All in One Printer. There are a few problems and it's really annoying, I wonder if anyone can prove useful please?

I uninstalled the software and drivers for the Photosmart series C6200 of the site, and when re installation, the software starts uninstalling itself and gives the following message:

    "Error - wstub 197370'

    "Fatal error during Installation"

And then starts to uninstall the entire software package and then request to restart to uninstall complete.

Once restarted, the whole scenario goes in a loop that is the uninstall process? Very confusing indeed and have never experienced this kind of problem before!

    All advice is appreciated.

  • RT of Windows and no driver for HP Photosmart C6280

I have a new Microsoft Surface with Windows 8 RT.  I have connected to my PC homegroup network and can 'see' my printer HP Photosmart C6280.  When I try to install the printer, it says I need a driver for the RT, but I don't see how to download a.  All attempts to do so at the HP website came empty.  Windows RT wants a .inf file.  Can someone point me in the right direction?  I tried the suggestions to download HP applications, but they do not seem to 'see' the printer on the homegroup.

One option to try is to use the HP Photosmart PCL3 driver class driver that is the Inbox with Windows RT operating system.  When you add a driver, select HP for the manufacturer and scroll to the bottom of the list of printers, and there should be an entry for the HP Photosmart PCL3 driver class.  This pilot will allow printing features base for your device.
