  What type of Internet connection you are on, wired or wireless? If you are on a wireless connection, try switching to a wired connection and try the download.

  Click Start, type: cmd

  Right-click on cmd, and then click Run as administrator

  At the command prompt, type the following:

  ipconfig/release

  then

  ipconfig/renew

  then

  ipconfig/flushdns

  leave the command prompt

  Click Start, type: folder

  Press enter

  Delete the contents of the temp folder

  Restart the computer and try to download again.

  If the problem persists, try resetting your router if you are connected to one.

  Turn off the router, unplug it, wait 10 minutes

  Plug it in again, power up once again

  Tried the software. Its the same thing as what I downloaded when my own outdated software did not work.  I tried to add a USB in addition to the wi - fi connection. The computer then saw the drive.   I discovered why the player start out with reinstalling windows DVD.
  According to the manual, so that the operating system Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 work, Secure Boot function must be activated. Similarly, restarting the OS Optimized Defaults menu must be activated and when this setting is changed, some BIOS settings are changed automatically including the UEFI / Legacy Boot happening to UEFI.   Assuming that you have several disks that work on other computers...

  If you have tried several USB drives on the same port

  AND

  This port does not recognize the USB device plugged in, while the port is not operational.

  More old Windows XP need a driver AHCI Intel's but I think this isn't a problem with SATA driver missing because as far as I know Windows 8 as well as Win 8.1 already contains the drivers to recognize the SSD or HARD disk drive.
  In addition, the installation of the OS should be possible even if the driver would be added for this procedure, you must use the "compatibility" mode
  As you say, the compatibility mode is not working too, so I think there is another problem.
