Driver Epson Stylus R800 Firewire on 64-bit Windows 7 does not work

According to Microsoft Support Epson not totally supported firewire in Vista or Windows 7

According to Microsoft, all they have done is put to update the driver to allow faster speeds in the new specification of firewire

As a mortal of dree, I don't have the power to decide who is right, but I want one of the gods would come with a fix soon.

Anyone of you gods are listening?

Hi Venutius,

The printer seems to be of 2001 and may not signed drivers that work in the 64-bit environment.

  • Windows Update does not work after the hard drive has been replaced

    Hello
I have the same problem, replaced in my Toshiba HD, rebuild from Sysimage, Windows Update does not work. A ran "fix the problem with the Microsoft Windows Update is not working.
    Problem still exist.
The message that I got while trying to update: "Windows Update cannot currently check updates,
because the service is not running. "You may need to restart you computer.
Stop and then restart the service, still no luck.

I ran Windows troubleshooting. He finds two problems with Windows Update components, it corrects.
    The problem still exists.

    The other post:

    Another interesting fact:
After the reconstruction the new disk, user account control does not recognize Windows programs.
for example: execution of Perfmon.exe, the Publisher is unknown! However, when I download the program Windows FixIt, Publisher is recognized as Microsoft Windows. It seems that user account control does not recognize the Windows programs that had found the new HD, but acknowledges those who is downloaded from the internet.
I guess there is a problem with the license, Windows was preinstalled on the Toshiba and replace the hard drive could have caused a few conflicts of licensing.

The same problem. Cloned old HD on a larger hard drive. Everything worked perfectly except NO indexing and update WITHOUT windows - the two recurring problems that seem to appear on the forums after a change of hard disk.

INDEXING resolved with change to "Intel rapid storage technology." Google what I put in quotes, choose the Download Center and get the specific to your OP and the controller software.

UPDATES have been a little more frustrating. The microsoft .fixes and convenience stores were without help.

Go to control panel / system and Maintenance / administration tools

    Select Services

Stop the Background Intelligent Transfer Service

    Stop Windows Update

In 'My Computer' go to Windows / Software Distribution

Right-click "DataStore" folder. Rename it to Datastore.old

    Rename the folder 'Download' Download.old

Return to Services and restart the Background Intelligent Transfer Service and Windows Update.

Look for the updates. It will take some time because you deleted the database.

    I hope this helps!

Ah! -in this case, it is not necessary.

I see from my records that a similar case has been solved by uninstalling and reinstalling the update WAT - KB971033

Open the Windows Update - click the link view updates installed on the left of the page

in the list, find the WAT update KB971033, and then uninstall it.

Then restart and reinstall the update from here - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971033

redemarrer restart again, then try to change your product key to the one on the sticker - what is happening this time?

  • Windows 7 reports as "Not true" after replacement drive. Windows Update does not work. Any idea?

I got a report that my drive was in imminent danger of failure.   Bought and made a direct disc-copy of the old disk cloning.    Everything seems to work fine, but now I'm getting the pop up that says Windows is "not true."    Windows shows as active, and nothing I've tried will stop the pop-up.  Worse, Windows Update does NOT work, and without running a few updates, I'm dead in the water for the use of new devices.

I ran MGADiag.   Here is that content.   Any help is greatly apprectiated!

  • Replacement 250 GB C: drive in Dell Optiplex GX 620 with WD 750 GB SATA drive by cloning. BIOS sees the drive, Windows XP does not work.

I have 5 Dell Optiplex GX 620 desktop computers.  All are about 5 years old.  Had a hard drive failure so I replace the disks C: by secondary SATA disk cloning, disk 1 in the bios.  BIOS sees drive when Windows XP on two systems and not on the other three.  Have no idea why.  All rooms have all the updates of Windows and Dell. A bought WD Caviar Green drives.  WD has replaced three with Caviar Black readers and still does not work.

Level 2 support WD had response which was to creat Acronis True Image WD Edition BACK boot CD for the windows version of the software, (that I downloaded on www.wdc.com), boot to a CD and had the disc I cloned then.  I wish only the support level 1 guy was aware of this utility.

  • IDL audio driver on my HP Pavilion Sleekbook laptop problem. Sound does not work

Hi, I have a HP pavilion Sleekbook 14-b029au and my sound does not work. I can't control the speakers of keyboard.

I clicked on the "speaker" icon on my computer and it says that "no audio devices are installed." I went and downloaded an IDL HD Audio CODEC file on the HP site, but when I tried to install it, it failed. Now, when I have the audio troubleshooting it is said that "IDL HD Audio CODEC has a driver problem" and "hardware changes are not detected.

    Help!

    Hello fm111,.

I would like that you can use the Recovery Manager and restore your drivers and software.  Follow the troubleshooting steps and then let me know if it helps to solve your sound problems.

    Good luck!

  • Cannot find CD/DVD drive in my computer on Device Manager. CD - DVD does not work

I recently discovered that my CD/DVD drive does not work. It worked fine before. Tried to burn a CD in iTunes, but the error message says that the software or the CD device could not be found.

My CD/DVD drive does not appear in the computer or Device Manager. I have read a few forums and tried to delete upper and lower filters, but that no longer works. Help, please.

I am running Windows Vista - it came installed on my computer when it was purchased.

    Hello

Step 1: Please do all the same underneath if you did some before as is often total
a process that solves the problem.

Try this - Panel - Device Manager - CD/DVD - double click on the device - driver tab.
Click on update drivers (this will probably do nothing) - RIGHT click ON the drive - uninstall.
RESTART this will refresh the default driver stack. Even if the reader does not appear to continue
    below.

Then, work your way through these - don't forget the drive might be bad, could be a coward
cable or slight corrosion on the contacts (usually for a laptop) and other issues.

Another possibility is that the cables are loose. Remove ALL power, then make sure that the cables in both
ends. Remove and replace, do not just tight. For laptops, you can often clean power and
contacts data with a pencil eraser.

Some DVD players do not use the Windows default drivers so check with the manufacturer of system and
manufacturer of device to see if there is a firmware or drivers for your drive if necessary.

    ===============================

Step 2: You have disc problems as the CD/DVD is actually 4 discs in 1 case (CD & DVD
Burn and CD and DVD read). So it is not unusual for 1 or 2 operational so that other parts
    do it right.

Did you follow the Troubleshooting Guide for the reader who still does not work? There are
the entries in registry that the troubleshooter does not solve and those who "might" be the cause.

Check with your Maker system and a device for the two possible firmware updates and
the correct registry entries for your car.

Here are the keys that I of course are those in question - for the subkeys of the CD/DVD drive
as there will be other subkeys in these keys. Do not forget to ask specific keys involved as well as
    the parameters.

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\IDE

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Hardware Profiles\0001\System\CurrentControlSet\Enum\IDE

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\ {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------

You can probably find more info here and maybe even the exact registry for your CD/DVD settings
drive from someone with the same model.

Use DevManView to locate the CD/DVD in the registry (be careful and do a prior Restore Point)
nothing change) - find the DevManView device and then make a right click on it free in RegEdit.

DevManView - free - an alternative to the standard Windows Device Manager, which displays all the
devices and their properties in flat table, instead of the tree viewer

    I hope this helps.

  • Windows 7 (64-bit) Windows Update does not properly.

Hello everyone, I hope you all do well.

So my problem right now is that the Windows Update program does not work as it should be, at all. Originally, she showed all the updates, it has proposed to install, but when I tried to download and install it, it didn't work. It hung for hours with no progress, even when I chose only about 11 updated. My internet shouldn't be the problem. I have great internet (currently at trial to double check) that usually is averaging 14ms ping, download 65 Mbps and 5 Mbps upload, so that shouldn't be the issue.

I tried to make a solution involving all simply delete the C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution folder and restart the update service, but that it did not set. I ran the diagnostic tool and it says it fixed a number of things, but not an error specific, shown here:

    .

I tried a few other things, like renaming the files after stopping wuauserv and bits, cryptsvc claim not Real. Curious on if there is no further action that I can take to try to solve this problem, because it makes me nervous and worried that something might affect me if I don't get some put updates in place. I'm sorry to post a new topic on this when there is a little bit before, but many, if not all of them are 2010 or 2011 at the latest.

Thank you all for your time and attention!

  • Business Inkjet 2300 driver for Windows 7, Windows Update does not work

Bought an inkjet 2300 for my office, but the driver does not work for Windows 7 (64) and despite what all the forums and guides say, Windows Update don't shoot the pilot.

There must be a way to get the driver directly - any help would be much appreciated. I don't want to take the camera for what seems like it would be an easily solved problem.

    Thank you!!

  • Bought Windows 64 bits but hotel does not work on 64-bit

I needed a 32-bit Windows 7 for my client of the hotel lock software installation, unfortunately, HP distributor misled me into buying 64-bit instead of 32 bit.
The software does not run on the 64-bit and 32-bit and the Distributor is unwilling to change the system for me.
What should I do to install this driver on the 64-bit or change the 64 bit to 32 bit?
    Thank you
