Driver_Power_State_Failure on Lenovo U310

Hello!

I just got my Lenovo for about a month and then it started to do this "Driver power state failure" error whenever I have try to wake my computer from sleep or if I leave my computer unattended for some time.
I don't know much about computers if it was quite boring for me. I looked through the forums and just lend to confusion...
My Lenovo U310 runs on Windows 8. Here is a link to the Minidump folder (I noticed that generally, the problem can be found by looking in this folder according to a few posts).
Any help would be appreciated! Thank you!

These related iaStorA.sys Intel Matrix Storage Manager driver from Intel Corp.  I would like to re - install the latest driver available.

If you have a SSD I would update the firmware.

  • Lenovo U310 DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE BSOD after sleep

    Hello!

I'm sitting here with my U310 I bought for about 1 year. When I bought Windows 8 has been installed, but through the normal procedures of Windows Update 8.1 for Windows has been installed within a couple of months.

Due to the fact that I am a COMPUTER professional, I have updated all drivers for a 64-bit version of Windows 8.1 (download all of this site) and everything works as it is supposed to-except for the sleep feature.

After you put the computer in standby mode, and then tries to raise (raise the screen or press the switch) it starts but freeses before I can enter the password for the user. Then, it takes 2 to 4 minutes before entering a nice BSOD.

Now, I read all the reviews on this site of support and I understand it's something with the drivers. Just today, I downloaded the latest drivers - installed them - with no luck. Same question.

The computer is re-installed week last due to some other problems with the hard disk (bad points that are now disabled through chkdsk).

No errors in the logs of Windows.

No yellow? in the Device Manager.

No comments on this will be appresiated - I really HOPE to get an answer from someone.

    Best regards

  • My laptop Lenovo U310 touch of Windows 8 is unable to wake from sleep or left over an extended period. How can I fix it?

Whenever I leave my laptop alone for a while, or after I put it on the mode 'sleep', I can't use my computer. It freezes is or I can't connect at all on the main login page. I get an error screen (with a frowny face, oddly enough) who says my computer needs to reboot, and that I should look for DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE online.

This is a new laptop and my sister has the same as well, and I am very disappointed to have this problem with Windows 8, Lenovo, or one who is behind the faulty start upward so right from the start.  I looked at etc and previous discussions and nobody has had the same question again. I already uninstalled McAfee antivirus with the official uninstaller since my trial has expired, and I also have the error message "your system does not appear have with Intel's technology for fast ignition" on my desktop each time I connect. I think that I've updated my laptop once or twice since I got it. One of them would be the issue? Any help please?

    Aaariel,

I ended up sending my computer Lenovo also, because the store would not take it back.
They also replaced my SSD and now it works fine. I highly recommend that all send you it to the service department and do not try to fix it yourself. My computer wakes up really quickly now and actually starts faster than before.

    Thanks for all your help!

  • Lenovo U310 too long POST W10

Hi, I recently updated my U310 for Windows 10 but I lost access to the BIOS, so I installed the latest version that is in the official website and it fixed the problem, but now it takes too long to POST even if everything works properly. The bios is for Windows 8 / 8.1 and there is no version for Windows 10, so I don't know if this is the cause of the problem.

Any help will be much appreciated.

I could solve the problem. The only thing I had to do was to change the boot order priority to put the HARD drive in the first place.

  • U310 under Windows 8: a few questions

    G ' Day,.

    Lenovo U310, i5, improved W7 to W8

Two weeks ago, I upgraded my old U310 of three months of W7 to W8, and I met some problems unresolved since.

See the Lenovo support seems like all vacationing maybe some of you forum-visitors can answer one or two questions.

    1. Battery life has decreased considerably, from 5 to 6 hours up to 3.5 hrs max
    2. Same story with Wifi reception. When I move the router over 2 meters, I have to swich for reception by cable; do not know if W8 caused this or just a network card Broadcom lame (I noticed problems of wifi on older U310 - i3 - versions)
    3. What is the function of CAPOSD?
    4. Smart Update - I expected a "main interface be published" (help function) but still nothing to do, just the charges residents and consumers of processing time

Thanks in advance and best regards,

    Jim

Honestly I suggest you perform a clean installation. Update never do anything good for me.

Also, try a US version or en - HK from the support page. I have all my drivers from there, and they work like a charm.

  • Cannot install Solutions from HP for Windows 8

    Hi you all,.

Lenovo U310, i5, 4 GB, SSD of 32 GB, 500 GB HD, Windows 8 pro.

This week, I installed Windows 8 to replace Windows 7.

Everything works fine, until I have try to re - install my 2-year-old HP Photosmart B109a.

I tried to download and run the driver:

    PS_AIO_06_B109a - m_NonNet_Full_Win_140_404.exe

But it seems that the installation runs in a loop, because whenever I start it, to halfway execution it charges me to restart my laptop. Over and over again and it never comes to the installation of the software.

I will be able to print a document, even if, to the right of the printerfunction of the document itself and there is a possibility to do a scan, but I really need the HP solutions for quick analysis.

Y at - it someone help me?

    Kind regards

    Jim

Finally, after countless reboots, login / logout of my printer, I discovered that this Photosmart B109a is not compatible with USB 3.0.

So I plugged in with USB 2.0 and it all worked perfect.
Maybe you can do a 'sticky' this conclusion.

    Thanks for the comments!

  • I edited my Kaspersky secutiry external HARD drive to not allow others to open my data personal, but accidentally denied myself all access to the file, how to undo it?

OK so I have a Hitachi 1 TB external HDD. I want to keep the personal data than that. I went into the files and went to 'properties', 'security' then I then to "edit" permissions and I clicked on "Authenticated users" then I pressed 'Decline' on the option full control. How can I cancel it? Running Windows 7 Home Premium Service Pack 1 on a Lenovo U310. Thanks for any help!

EDIT: I don't have a restore point together recently.
You take possession of the records, and then change the permissions. See here:
