Lenovo U310 DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE BSOD after sleep
Hello!
I'm sitting here with my U310 I bought for about 1 year. When I bought Windows 8 has been installed, but through the normal procedures of Windows Update 8.1 for Windows has been installed within a couple of months.
Due to the fact that I am a COMPUTER professional, I have updated all drivers for a 64-bit version of Windows 8.1 (download all of this site) and everything works as it is supposed to-except for the sleep feature.
After you put the computer in standby mode, and then tries to raise (raise the screen or press the switch) it starts but freeses before I can enter the password for the user. Then, it takes 2 to 4 minutes before entering a nice BSOD.
Now, I read all the reviews on this site of support and I understand it's something with the drivers. Just today, I downloaded the latest drivers - installed them - with no luck. Same question.
The computer is re-installed week last due to some other problems with the hard disk (bad points that are now disabled through chkdsk).
No errors in the logs of Windows.
No yellow? in the Device Manager.
No comments on this will be appresiated - I really HOPE to get an answer from someone.
Best regards
Mogens

When I press to look for a solution, it is said that the problem is with "Intel PRO/Wireless LAN adapter software. is there a way to solve this problem - and why only is it when I go out my laptop idleYes I see. If this problem is common for ideapads?

Driver_Power_State_Failure on Lenovo U310
Hello!
I just got my Lenovo for about a month and then it started to do this "Driver power state failure" error whenever I have try to wake my computer from sleep or if I leave my computer unattended for some time.I don't know much about computers if it was quite boring for me. I looked through the forums and just lend to confusion...My Lenovo U310 runs on Windows 8. Here is a link to the Minidump folder (I noticed that generally, the problem can be found by looking in this folder according to a few posts).Any help would be appreciated! IdeaPad u310 turns off during sleep
I have a u310 ultrabook ideapad
500 GB hard drive
32 GB ssd
Core i3
running windows 7
I have power options configured so that it goes to sleep when I close the lid. That's how I always put to sleep (I never press the power button or use the option to sleep in the start menu)
The machine will stay "asleep" for several hours (white status on front flashes). Then at a given time (6 or 8 hours later) turn itself off (seeing status led is out)
I looked through all the windows power options and options lenovo energy management to see if I could find the setting that is controlling this behavior but have not turned up anything yet. I Googled it a little, but have not found someone else describe the same question.
I saw this happen while that plugged and not plugged. When I turn it back on, the battery charge level. I thought initially that the battery are dangerously low and it turned off or went into hibernation to protect themselves, but that doesn't seem to be what is happening.
I was wondering if anyone else has seen this happen. It doesn't really seem important now since even when he died, it starts windows in seconds. However, the system is still brand new and new systems tend to start very quickly. If Im wondering if in the future I'll see degrade startup time.
Thank you!
Hi Iso,
same behavior with my U310, there is also no Hibernate option to select,
Instead, after sleeping for a few hours, the machine automatically extended.
This is a new feature.

original title: display driver nvlddmkm stopped responding and has recovered successfully after sleep, then BSOD.
Well, if not some time ago, we got a Nvidia GeForce 240GT video card. We used an ATI Radion 3460 I think and it worked normally. Then when we got the nVidia card, we started to see the problems. Occasionally, he would show the blue screen of death. I tried to reproduce the error and came to an interesting conclusion. Whenever I put the computer in sleep mode turn off mode 'sleep', I wait a bit and then the login screen appears. I connect and it shows me the "display driver nvlddmkm stopped responding and was recovered successfully. Then after that, if I go on YouTube and try to watch a video, the computer hangs and a BSOD would leap upward. I am angry. I used "standby mode" so and with the new map video, everything got worse. I tested this problem on Windows Vista and 7. And btw, the drivers are up-to-date, I made sure the driver nvlddmkm himself file is up-to-date, and temperatures are perfect.
update the drivers from NVIDIA. Also make sure that your power supply is powerful enough to handle the new nVIDIA card. "A programmer is just a tool that converts the caffeine in code" Deputy CLIP - http://www.winvistaside.de/

Hello.
I have Windows 8 Pro. My Lenovo desktop PC will not make me a password after sleep, even though I did everything in Power Options (for example require a password on wake up, etc.). When the computer wakes up in the morning, it asks for a password. But when he wakes up from his sleep after 25 minutes (balanced power options), it does not ask for password. I really need the pc to request password. Help, please. Thank you
Can access the settings / settings of computer in the bar of charms
Then the issue of users. Make sure it says any user that wakes the computer must have a password.
Maybe take in front of what it is now and restart. Then change it again if necessary.
Are you course in 25 minutes you mentioned really sleep mode - sounds like he turned off the screen and not yet reached the hour of sleep to occur. On my Lenovo power light flashes when his sleep and full-time light up when the screen is blank.

WIndows 8 driver_power_state_failure bsod
Hi all
I have an annoying problem. In recent weeks, start the system and wake up from hibernation for takes too long than usual (5 minutes). After some time with driver_power_state_failure BSOD also began to appear.
After some research I have come to believe that the there is a problem with a driver. I did the following:
-J' tried to update all the drivers (with SlimDrivers and checking manually from the Device Manager)
-J' tried to clean (registers, unnecessary files, etc.)
-J' also did a health check on disk (everything is fine) using cmd chkdsk. (including a checkup before starting to drive c.)
After doing all of this with the problem still there I decided to do a factory reset. I wanted to make a clean and installation for as long as I understood that it is the way to do it on windows 8. I find it quite annoying because after that things were still there, some of the files on the desktop, some settings. This makes me believe that it was not a clean install after all
The laptop froze before the factory reset, but now it works well. It's just that it takes forever to load and this BSOD.
And one last problem I notice (maybe related to this or not), so try to use windows update, I get the error with the code: 800703F1
I do not know how to find the pilot who is responsible (if this is the case), and if someone could help me with some ideas that would be much appreciated.
Also I send you via dropbox my dump file after the bsod (from C/Windows/Minidump):
https://www.dropbox.com/s/awscqcnabf5yblj/092714-268453-01.dmp?DL=0
PS. I'm under win 8 (not 8.1) on an ASUS UX32VD, if that info is needed.
This phenomenon was related to iaStor.sys Intel Matrix Storage Manager driver - ia32. Yours is 2 years old. I remove the power and install the latest driver available

Some applications does not respond after sleep (El Capitan)
Product: 13 '' Macbook Pro retina (12.1) (base model sheet)
El Capitan Version: 10.11.6
The problem:
When I connect after that my Macbook went down, I often have problems with some of the stock apps. In particular, I had this problem with the Mail Messages, reminders and calendar. This seems to be a problem when they are open before putting the macbook to sleep. This same problem happened with non-apple-stock applications.
Once logged in, if I click on the application icon, the application window will come into focus. After that, I'm unable to use the application (as if frozen) and I often just see the spinning Rainbow mouse icon.
Can I force quit the app and then open it again, but now the application does not load.
To solve the problem, I can restart the macbook and all is well.
Some others probably associated with funny things I saw (only attracted to this once... but did not look at one time or another):
I open the calendar application after the macbook was sleeping and my full general calendar was empty (which would be nice if it were true!). In any case, I checked the 'accounts' and also found that there was no accounts! (I have 3 goes). So I wonder if there is a problem with the accounts after sleep since these apps I've had problems with all iCloud account and mail also uses some other accounts.
Big Question: Is there something I can do to make that happen?
Thank you very much for your help! Sorry if this is a double post, it is difficult to find an answer via google search.
Start Safe Mode removes the system caches that can help...
Follow these steps to start in safe mode.
- Start or restart your Mac.
- As soon as you hear the startup tone, hold down the SHIFT key.
- Release the SHIFT key when you see the logo Apple appears on the screen.
After the Apple logo appears, this may take longer than usual to reach the login screen or your office. This is because your Mac performs a check of directory of your drive to boot in safe mode.
To leave safe mode, restart your computer without pressing any keys during startup.
Then try to Message, Mail, etc.
If you still have problems, check the startup disk.
Launch the disk utility located in/Applications/Utilities
Then select the disk to boot on the left and then select the first aid tab and then click run.

Thunderbird V38.2.0 crashes after SLEEP under WIN10 Home 64-bit
The freeze after sleep 8 10 times while Thunderbird already worked very well. Also noticed a small empty Popup which may not be rejected. Must be completed via the Task Manager, restart OK.
This is a known issue that gets attention.
Alternative WORKAROUND: Until a permanent solution is made, I hope that in the next update, if you want to avoid the Thunderbird crash try setting to be disconnected before the sleep/hibernation file. Offline | Work offline. Then do the same again after the wake up the computer to put it online. Or, in the case where the only problem is Thunderbird not getting not new messages, do both after the wake up the computer.
