Driver software Deskjet 5850 not no projection in OSX 10.6.1

I have a brand new MacBook Pro with 10.6.1

My Deskjet 5850 worked great with it up to what I lack of color ink. Then all it would print was B & W even after a new color cartridge has been installed. But the printer works very well with our IBM PC.

The Mac recognizes the 5850 printer but when I went to check the software driver, the 5800 series is not listed as an option, so the value default generic PCL Laser Printer is my only option and I wonder if this is the reason why I have more color. Even when I saw the impression it shows that it will print in B & W.

Someone knows how can I fix?

Thank you!

Well Yes, the Laser printer driver would be my main suspect here.

Try to download 10.6.2 and see what happens (it came out yesterday).

    Dear Sir / Madam,.

I use a HP Deskjet 3745 now for several years at home. Recently I got a new laptop from my employer with Windows 7. I would like to install the driver for my printeron this laptop, so I can also print at home. Unfortunately, the update of windows is managed by my employer, if I can't download the software via Windows update.

The driver can be downloaded from the Microsoft catalog Site, but the site is not very user-friendly.  The catalog site supports Internet Explorer, other browsers will not work.  Copy this link and paste it in IE: http://catalog.update.microsoft.com/v7/site/Search.aspx?q=deskjet%203740

You have an 32-bit or the 64 bit version of Windows 7?  The 32-bit driver is one that is 11.4 MB in size, the 64-bit version is 11.6 Mb in size. 13.9 MB system is for Server IA64 systems.  Once the file has been downloaded, open a DOS command prompt and change directory to the location where the file was downloaded.  Then insert your USB key (I'll assume it's the X: drive in what follows) and in the BACK of the box type the following:

    Expand * .cab-F: * x:\

This will extract the files and develop on your X: drive.  You can then take the USB drive to your work machine and start, devices and printers, click Add a printer, have a disk and point to the INF on drive X:.

  • External drives, USB, USB Flash Drives, "driver software device is not installed. Problem Acer and Windows 7

Not sure one I'm more frustrated with.  Acer or Microsoft

Try to get decent customer service out either seems so difficult.

OK, it's a pretty common problem.  I've seen this around other forums and each finger to Microsoft points.

Flash USB, Jump Drives thumb drives, Memory Sticks, players, whatever they are called, they do not work on my Acer laptop.  Everything works still perfectly on my Vista PC and my work XP.  So they are not damaged.  Also an external Freecom USB 1 TB drive.  Does not work on Windows 7.

I have an Acer 5338 (less than one year) which unfortunately as as a manufacturer OEM for Microsoft Windows are not interested in help to say that there is problem Acer.  ACERS site does not even recognize the existence of the cell phone model I which makes contact them for a solution physically impossible (everyone has a phone number or e-mail address >).  In any case, they had a free upgrade to Win 7.  (Oh you can't imagine how much I care that I didn't...).

So I've updated.  And all USB memory devices do not work all of a sudden.

All of them try to load drivers then give up with the error message.

Just to get the usual answers to the road!

    • I tested the USB ports.  All work.
    • I uninstalled all the USB ports and let the Win 7 to reinstall. No problem
    • I deleted the file that records discs.
    • I made a new clean install.  Nothing has changed.
    • Cannot switch the chipset drivers.  Won't let me, says I don't need them
    • Each drive is displayed during the startup screen.
    • Each drive appears in Device Manager but the poster as a fault.
    • Updated installed, removed, re-installed all the drivers on the planet.
    • Tried the solution of "regedit" suggested elsewhere, temptation of power my laptop, lucky I system restored to the top.
    • Does not appear in disk management, so cannot deal with any drive letter conflict.
    • Have no viruses.
    • Have one firewall installed.
    • Prayed
    • Touched the thing of reversal
    • Pleaded
    • Pretended to cry.  Not interested.

So, I'm hoping against hope that someone has a solution to this problem.  I have a vague idea that it might be something to do with the "ports" and the port settings.  I'm afraid is a closed book to me, so please, geniuses everywhere, please help!  Give me something new to try!

Or a way to talk to a human being at Acer!

We use Windows 7 and have not encountered this problem on computers. This issue is occurring on your computer may be due to the driver or hardware that does not support Windows 7.

The compatible chipset driver installation Windows 7 can help.

    Hello Buzbybumble

I looked into it further and found that all J611 Deskjet 3050 a models use the same software. So, you should be able to download and run the installation from the link below.
Software HP Deskjet 3050 has complete features J611

IMPORTANT: Make sure that the printer is not connected to the computer until the installation program ask you to do. Run the Setup and follow the instructions on the screen.

If the printer is not yet seen, then choose the option "continue INSTALLATION WITHOUT CONNECTION NOW I WILL CONNECT the PRINTER LATER. A shortcut must be placed on your desktop and it will try to add a printer when it is executed.

Follow this post from @SuperMario1 to remove the printer files from the registry.

Driver HP deskjet D2300 series does not not in windows 7.

It's a different model, but it provides instructions to dig dip into the registry and get all of the HP software from the system.

You can also run the Microsoft Fix it Tool to the problems that programs cannot be installed or uninstalled.

I have a HP Deskjet 3050 J611which a printer prints perfectly wireless or if the software is not installed, although it won't scan without software.  When I install the software, it does not work.  When I try to uninstall the software I get a 2081883395 error, and it will not erase the software.  I managed to download a software that did delete and I reinstalled, have the same problem, but can't find the software to remove the HP software.  I tried to install HP disc and download.  What is a 208 error?  How can I remove this software?  And how to install the software without this error (maybe it can work)?  Thank you.

Have you went into Device Manager to verify that the drivers are all up to date?  Go to start-> Type "Device Manager" in the search field-> select device-> you Manager see no yellow exclamation for one of your drivers?  If so, right click and select "Update".  If the driver is already updated, and then select uninstall.  (You may be prompted to restart)

If you are not prompted to restart, click again on the device and select 'Install' please let us know status.  Thank you!

    Concerning

  • Can not find the driver software for your device

I have Windows Vista Home Premium (64-bit) SP2.
Had a card just before SCSI Adaptec AHA-2940U/UW working in XP the operating system upgrade.

-System sees this controller in Device Manager
-Adaptec has Vista drivers download (32 - bit, 64 - bit no)
-Downloaded the drivers on my pc and extracts into a folder
-Open the Device Manager and click on update drivers for this device
-Made to the location of the new drivers and tried to install

The results of action in this post:
"Windows could not find driver software for your device".

I do not understand 32 bit vs 64 bit one nonsense, but I installed many programs, which are almost 32-bit without any effort.

Is there a compatibility mode for the drivers?
How can I get through this?

Should the real name of the device (AHA-2940UW) be in the list of official feature of Vista to install it?
(i.e. If I were to add a device and choose the category manually storage controllers, it has a lot of Adaptec products in it, but not mine.)
If this is the case, is there a way to add the device manually to Vista?

The SCSI controller has a single function, driving my Microtek scanner, which is so well built and reliable I can't part with him. :-)

Thanks mucho in advance for one of your tips and tricks.

No drivers available for Vista 64, I'm afraid.

And no compatibility mode for drivers.
