  • Problem installing Windows 7: drivers needed

I try to perform a clean installation of Windows 7 on a 250 GB hard drive which is perfectly clean. Windows asks a driver for my ASUS DRW-2014L1T optical drive before it can proceed with the installation. The ASUS site offers only a few firmware for this model, and none of them are same for Windows 7 (vista is the more recent they are). In addition, the firmware are in .exe format which makes me think they are intended to be installed on a machine with Windows already installed. So, do you know of any ways to get around this problem? Is there generic drivers that I could install?

    Thanks for any help,

    Nate

    Hey Nate,

    ·         How many drivers DVD the computer have?

    ·         Is ASUS DRW-2014L1T internal or external drive?

If the computer has an another DVD player, I suggest to use the DVD player and try to install Windows 7.

    For reference:

    Thanks its working now!

But I still have problems with DVD playback... I am out of the dvd decoder and can not find the download for just a dvd decoder. I downloaded a few media players but all still not allow me to read the actual DVD disc. I've already spent too much money on this computer and I really can't afford to buy any additional software. Is it possible for me to find the decoder correct drivers/dvd for free?

    Hello

    1. what Microsoft FIXIT did you use exactly?

2 did you a recent software or changes to the material on the computer?

I suggest you try the steps mentioned below.

Method 1: Open the hardware and devices Troubleshooter

    Method 3:

Your CD or DVD drive is missing or is not recognized by Windows or other programs

Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. • EliteBook 8440p: reinstall applications preinstalled after upgrade

I had all these applications pre-installed, as the DVD Roxio Creator (not sure if it's real name) and after the upgrade to Windows 10, all of these applications have disappeared. How to make a comeback?

    MrConorAE

    Hello;

Let me welcome you on the HP forums!

I wish I had some good news for you, but I did not...

These applications were for Windows 7 and they were not carried over during the Upgade because they operate not on Windows 10 - and, because your PC did not come with preinstalled Win10, HP provides no drivers or applications for Win10 for your PC.

Here is the link to the page for Win7 drivers:

You can choose the version of the OS you're using be, download apps and see if they will install, but they probably won't: http://h20566.www2.hp.com/hpsc/swd/public/readIndex?sp4ts.oid=4095874 & swLangOid = 8 & swEnvOid = 4059

    Good luck

Yes - the uninstall process is controlled by the ininstaller provided with the third party program.  Windows doesn't do anything for you.  It simply allows third-party vendors use the register and place their uninstall information in such a place you see in Add / Remove programs to call their uninstall program.

Use Revo Uninstaller.  Use the trial of the PRO version and make the most aggressive/careful option.

  • Error, "the program"Importer.exe"stopped" when importing a video.

    Hi all.

First of all, I'm sorry to bother you with one issue other than Microsoft, but it is a place where Microsoft Support advised me to ask for help. And in fact you are my last hope :)

The thing is this. I use Pinnacle Studio 15HD (http://www.pinnaclesys.com/) for video editing. And normally, the first thing you can do to start working is importing the video source (be it a camera or any other device that contains media). Suddenly, the Studio began to show a message "the program has stopped"Importer.exe". " Windows is looking for solutions to this problem"(Windows 7 Professional). This message appears when you switch to the Import tab and sometimes just after the loading of the Studio. In any case the Studio stops working and does not at all after that message.

I already tried the following to resolve the problem:

-Reboot / restart the operating system

-Completely reinstall the software (Pinnacle Studio) - twice

-Graphics card drivers / DVD - ROM (suggested by users of the pinnacle forum)

-Complete the process of importer.exe and launch again in 'Run' option... » (-/ /-)

-Unplug all the devices of media before starting the Studio

    No results :(

If despite that Importer.exe is the a program linked to the Studio, as far as I understand the problem is not inside the Studio. If you have any ideas on what could lead to such a question, I would be very grateful.

Pinnacle is now a part of Corel Corporation and unfortunately, they argue that the version 16 and higher product :(

    Thank you very much beforehand.

    Tamara & Leonid.

You can post here as well.

  • Portege M200 does not start

I have a Toshiba Portege M200 with Microsoft Windows XP Tablet Edition. When I turn on the computer, I get the following message is displayed:

PXE - E61: Media test failure, check cable of
PXE - MOF: Exit Intel Boot Agent
    Insert system disk in drive.
Press a key when you are ready.

When I insert the recovery and Applications/drivers DVD Portege M200 Series, the same message will reappear.

    What is my next step?

    Thank you.

This message appears only if the safe portable couldn t of the other sources and tries to boot from LAN.

The question is; Why the Portege M200 doesn't boot from the HARD drive?
In my opinion, there are two possibilities; There is no OS on the HARD drive or the HARD drive died.

I think that this should be checked first
