drivers for HP EliteBook 8540w Mobile Workstation (ENERGY STAR)
Hi - I had to reformat my laptop - I think that I now need to install many drivers although the link to HP for HP EliteBook 8540w Mobile Workstation (ENERGY STAR) website does not work. I hope someone can help
HP support portals links are back on.
To identify the network controller, you will need to provide the PCI\VEN hardware ID string as seen in the image of the example below.
Open the section of the network cards by clicking the trianngle on his left and then right click on the device you need the driver for. Select Properties to call the Properties window , as shown below.
Select the Details tab, and then use the drop-down arrow to select the material ID.
After the string of alphanumeric characters together here.
You can do the same for any device not already identified by your operating system.
I have a laptop HP EliteBook 8560p, and I run a clean installation of Windows Professional 10 64-bit on it. I want to ask you if you plan to deploy the drivers for Windows 10 because the CPU usage is too high, probably due to no updated drivers.
Please visit the following link:
Accept to install the cab file.
Search for 'VEN_8086 & DEV_1502'... and click Add drivers listed for Windows 10
then search for "VEN_8086 & DEV_1C3D" and click Add drivers listed for Windows 10
In the upper right corner, click on view cart
Click on download, once downloaded, try to install the drivers.

The media JMicron card reader driver allows the card slot multimedia integrated in the laptop models running a supported operating system.

I looking for, but not found, Windows 10 drivers for at least two devices on this laptop.
Specifically, the missing drivers are
device base system (3d driveguard?)
PCI\VEN_197B & DEV_2392 & SUBSYS_18DF103C & REV_30\4 & 113B8F64 & 0 & 00E2
unknown device (card reader)?
ACPI\HPQ6000\3 & 33FD14CA & 0
Any idea where I can find them? The HP website is not easily searched.
There is a big problem with the site of business support which crashed August 1 and had not been fixed so far.
The first ID is the needed driver JMicron card reader. Try this old one to W8.
The other needs the driver 3D driveguard 5.
Please could someone tell me where I could download the driver for this laptop audio beats:

I had to remove the keyboard of my laptop, and when I did it seems that white locking bar of the zif connector has disintegrated. Now I don't know how to reinstall the zif connector. She inserts, but won't stay in.
Does anyone know of a solution?
You can buy just a lock bar that attaches to the keyboard?

Hello, I have Toshiba Satellite A200, with an ATI Mobility Radeon HD2600, and I'm very happy with it.
I use it to Second Life, and so good. Recently, there were some new viewers for Second Life, and I'm not able to run the most recent version, as when I do, I see a window divided into 2 half black and half gray. I posted the problem in Programmer's blog, for both the viewers that I use, and the answer in both cases is that I have to update my graphics driver. I checked on the web site of Toshiba, but it seems that I already have the latest version of the driver, it's a very old (ver.8.452, published on 07-07-08)
Is it possible to update the display driver? I tried on the AMD website, but it is not possible to download a driver for Toshiba laptop).
Thanks in advance
You can download the mobile page AMD for the Radeon HD2600 graphics card drivers. But I think you need to install/update the driver through the Device Manager.
Unzip the package downloaded to the folder created on the desktop.
Then go to Device Manager and here you must use the advanced procedure that allows you to point to the folder (on the desktop) where the driver package was extracted.
I recently updated my Elitebook 8570w Windows 10 machine and I found your bluetooth driver is not supported. is it possible for hp develop a driver for Bluetooth so I can reuse my bluetooth mouse? Thank you.
I saw there is a similar position, but the link is no longer achievable... so I create this new position again.
Thank you thank you
See if this driver works...
This package contains the Broadcom Bluetooth driver for the supported models that are running a supported operating system. Broadcom Bluetooth driver is necessary to enable the Bluetooth of Broadcom devices.
I tried to install a 150 HP officejet on a Mac air laptop running windows 7 (64-bit). Whenever I try to run the installer for the software as a whole and the driver OR the base drivers it tells me that the computer has USB drivers or USB ports, so it can not install. The computer has of course these things. This happens even if I'm putting in place a bluetooth connection via the software and USB connection.
Also, when I try to go through the menu bluetooth and install without a driver, he finds the device but can't find the appropriate drivers.
Someone has a similar problem? It is a real problem for me because I bought this machine especially for this computer.
Try following these steps and let me know if that can help you:
(1) Windows 7, type folder in the search bar and open the folder Temp of litsted.
(2) locate and open the folder of installation of HP, he will start with the characters of 7z (e.g. 7zs1234)
Note: If there are several folders to find the last time.
(3) from the fo file open the installation folder
(4) delete the file usbready.exe
5 navigate) back 1 level until the 7z folder and run the Setup.exe file to install the HP software.
Hope that helps,
I am trying to find the drivers:

Anyone know if there is a recovery on the 8730w default partition?
I have a machine to a dismissed employee, nobody knows the user login, there doesn't seem to be an admin user, the hard drive has a special native mode SATA driver so that I can not start with a brick it emergency linux boot disk... no user is "with HP SpareKey" (whatever that is or has been).
F11 does not start on a factory restore partition and there is no option to boot for the restoration of the factory menu (press ESC at startup and the options are: F1 - Information System;) F2 - Diagnostics; F3 - Insider Intel CIRA - what of * that *?; F7 - HP SpareKey; F9 - device boot options; F12 - initialization of the network; Sign up - keep booting)
Quite sad, really
Please don't tell me that I need to find the disk supplied with the machine because that will not happen!
Just order a new set of recovery disks by calling HP to 1-800-334-5144. You will need to provide the model # and # of series.
It costs $10.
If F11 does not work, then the recovery partition is either missing, or faulty.
You can also make your own drive of W7 or Vista installation and reinstall this way if you can read the 25 product key MS Vista or W7 characters on the bottom of the laptop.
If you want to go this route, please let me know what OS you are running and give you directions to setup you need to do different procedures for Vista or W7.
My hp Pavilion 17 - e01so notebook stopped allowing me to work with my Photoshop, so I did a scan and found the below 260 WIA driver has become corrupt. I deleted and I though it would be repeated itself when I restarted my computer and it didn't.
Could someone out there please help me with the problem?
Hello JHHD ;
I read your post about needing a pilot and wanted to help.
HP for your PC product page shows it came with Win8 or preinstalled Win8.1, not Win10. So, I guess that you have done the upgrade to Win10, right?
That presents a problem - because there is no driver HP Win10 for your PC. There is, however, Win8.1 drivers and that you need COULD work in Win10.
Here is the link to the page Win8.1 of the driver: http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-Pavilion-17-Notebook-PC-series/5375409/model/5450271
If this page does not display Win8.1 when you open it, then click the CHANGE button and select Win8.1 using the pulldowns.
I'm a volunteer and I do not work for, or represent, HP.

I have a HARD drive which started making funny noises and I expect to do fast enough. And while that is depressing in its own right, in my view, I better the situation and and put it in a fast SSD instead of the old thing. But before I go and buy the equipment I need to know that it can actually be done. I read another thread on this forum about to put an SSD in the expansion slot (CD/DVD), but I want to replace the main HARD drive. So my best guess is that it is possible, but if there are people here with experience, please guide me in how to proceed.
I made a backup of all my important files so really the only thing I want to do is remove my old HDD and put a new and then install Windows 7 from disks that followed with the computer.
I thank very you much for your time and your help.
Nothing don't you to replace an old HDD with a fastest SSD 'modern '. In theory, you can use ANY SDS but on the safe side, please use SSD suppliers which guarantees its product will work as the following seller:
The process is very simple (I actually put a Crucial 960 GB to one of my machines today). My suggestion: prior to material things, backup all files/data and prepare a 'big bang' (in my case, I cloned my old HDD so very fast). Please read the following articles for more information:
I would replace the current Win98 Win95 on my Satellite 310. What drivers are needed and where are they available?
Download drivers for this older model Mobile you can find on Toshiba page under http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com > support & downloads. Under type of product option ARCHIVES and the title of the series of products please choose 3xx.
