First of all, you should check if the wireless network adapter has been properly recognized in Device Manager.
Otherwise->, reinstall the WLan card driver
If Yes,-> check the TCP\IP protocol properties if everything on automaticI put t know how you have configured the wifi but there were two possibilities;
You used the Windows's own configuration options or you used a tool 3rd as Intel ProSet or Atheros client utility.Generally, you should check all simple options such as the SSID, WLan encryption, mac address filtering, etc to know what s wrong.

Wireless LAN does not start automatically
Hey,.
I have a HP-Compaq CQ60-100ED and my phone does not start automatically.
If I boot my laptop it comes on when Windows starts, but then stops again.
I need to push my wireless button 2 times and it works perfectly.
Also if I close my cover, and then open it again it works without pressing the button.
It's only when I do a cold start.
Kind regards

Wireless LAN does not receive the signal from the router
Yesterday, I bought a toshiba satellite pro L10 and it's got wireless, but for some reason some can't find any network even when I'm in the same room as the router. What can I do?
Hello
Well. First of all, check if the wireless antenna is turned on. Check the switch on the side. In addition, with the FN + F8 key combination, you can switch between the Bluetooth card and wireless.
In the next step you should check the wireless network connection properties
The option use Windows to configure my wireless network must be marked.Good luck

My works wireless, but my connection to the LAN does not work?
I have a Toshiba L305-S5917 laptop and my connection to the LAN does not at all, when I plug my CAT 5 cable into the slot not strikes is the lights. IM able to use my wireless works fine. All this happened when my laptop crashed due to a virus. I reloaded all windows from XP to Windows 7 and also bought Numbus disk driver and recovery for my model laptop and still no connection to the LAN... pls help.
Hello
Sorry I'm not quite clear about the situation.
You posted on the Vista Forum; you have loaded Win XP and you running Windows 7?
If the computer is currently running on Windows 7, newspaper to the support site for Toshiba laptop, download Windows 7 drivers for the wireless network card and install them.
In general.
Check the Device Manager for the entry of valid card of the wire.
http://www.ezlan.NET/Win7/net_dm.jpg
If there is no valid entry, remove any entry from fake and re - install the drivers for the wireless card.
----------------------------------
Try installing the latest drivers from the card manufacturer support page.
Download the drivers and extract them to a folder of your choice.
In Device Manager, right-click on the adapter.
Click Update drivers and choose her browse my computer for drivers.
Choose let me a list of choices, click on disk and point to the folder with the drivers.
-------------------------------------Check network connections to make sure that you have a Local Area Connection icon/entry, and that the properties of the icon (right-click on the icon) are correctly configured with the TCP/IPv4 protocol in the properties of network connections.
http://www.ezlan.NET/Win7/net_connection_tcp.jpg
Connect you to the menu of the router from a work computer and make sure DHCP is on, and it is configured to assign IPs which can cover the number of computers that are connected (a bit more will be even better).
Turn off the computer and the router, reset the router and the computer.
Right-click on the wireless network connection card, select status, details and see if she got an IP address and the rest of the settings.
On the State of intellectual property.
TCP/IP and its variables usually look like this.
Right-click on the wireless network connection card, select status, details and see if she got an IP address and the rest of the settings.
Typical TCP/IP status looks like this.
http://www.ezlan.NET/Win7/status-NIC.jpg
Description is the data of the card making.
Physical address is the MAC of the card number. The xx must be a number between 0 and 255 (all xx even number).
YY should be between 0 and 255
ZZ should be between 0 and 255 (zz all the same number.)
The date of the lease must be valid at the present time.
* Note 1. IP that starts with 169.xxx.xxx.xxx isn't valid functional IP.* Note 2 There could be an IPv6 entries too. However, they are not functional for Internet or LAN traffic. They are necessary for Win 7 homegroup special configuration.
------------------------
Also, make sure that the software firewall on each computer allows free local traffic. If you use 3rd party Firewall on, Vista/XP Firewall Native should be disabled, and the active firewall has adjusted to your network numbers IP on what is sometimes called the Zone of confidence (see part 3 firewall instructions
General example, http://www.ezlan.net/faq.html#trusted
Please note that some 3rd party software firewall continue to block aspects of the Local traffic even it they are off (off) . If possible, configure the firewall correctly or completely uninstall to allow a clean flow of local network traffic. If the 3rd party software is uninstalled, or disables, make sure Windows native firewall is active .

Satellite L300-19Y - wireless LAN is not in the list of devices
Hi I need to throw this one out there incase I throw my pc a bridge...
I have a Toshiba Satellite L300-19Y which recently gubbed the HD, so I replaced and am trying to install XP SP3.
However, even with what i belive to be the correct drivers I can't seem to access my wireless LAN.
I installed most of the pilots involved, and have access to the Internet via the NIC with a connecting cable.
It was a struggle to get even, even if I really need a wireless...At the moment the wireless device does not appear in the list of devices, although I can see my network card.
I have some thoughts on how to activate the wireless, I tried to install the driver manually wireless but didn't get any wherever I get a code 10 XP Shutdown response.I've updated the BIOS, I have the latest drivers 8187b, I installed the kernel, the chipset, the display and audio drivers... etc.
I installed a new copy of XP but you have not installed all the drivers until I know that the correct procedure...Any ideas would be appreciated...
Arghh!
Andy
Hello
You should try to activate the WLAN using the hardware on the laptop switch (must be defined on and with the combination of keys FN + F8.
Did you do that?In addition, you can get all the drivers for your laptop on the Toshiba site:
http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com-online decision-making supported Downloads & => Download driversI assume that you have installed your laptop with a disc of Microsoft, so you should try it with the Toshiba recovery disc. It contains an image of the settings from the factory with all the drivers and tools. After that, everything should work fine on your laptop.
Check it!

Tecra S1: Rf Ubuntu wireless switch does not work
Hi all
I recently bought an Intel mini-PCI wifi card for my Tecra S1 under Ubuntu. It is detected without any problem, Intel provides even native drivers for Linux. However, the hardware to activate wireless switch does NOT work. According to iwconfig, the radio is off. I use the ipw2200 driver which can detect the hardware and the software rf_kill. I can enable and disable software killing RF, but kill him material stays on.
I suspect that the radio feature is disabled in the BIOS but I don't have Windows running on the laptop over to change the setting. Is it possible to access BIOS options under linux? Toshutils are not supported by the tecra because she seems to have a Phoenix BIOS.
I hope you can help!
Edwin...
Hello
Tecra S1 supports BIOS Toshiba you can access BIOS by pressing ESC at the beginning of the startup.
In any case I think you won't find anything in the BIOS.If you are not able to use the switch of material on the side of the laptop then the Wlan card is not compatible or the hardware switch is malfunctioning. I would say that the card is not supported.
Maybe the insulation of the 13 pin might help please check that this son:

Original title: Download sp3
Remember - this is a public forum so never post private information such as numbers of mail or telephone! I bought recently a new Cisco E1000 router. My computer is a laptop model Lenovo 0769.
I am running windows XP with sp2. The cisco software requires sp3. I called support of cisco and even they couldn't get to download sp3. My network is wireless on the router and I had to install from another laptop computer on the system. My LAN does not work when hooked. What do you suggest to me.

Wireless device does not work after downgrading from Windows 7 to Windows Vista.
Original title: wireless device does not.
recently, I got my os from windows 7 to vista, now my wireless device does not work. I checked the Device Manager and the report shows that my network controller driver is not installed and the modem on high definition audio bus device. I tried to install it, but in vain. What should I do?
If your computer manufacturer does not have Windows Vista drivers available, you're probably out of luck. Without drivers for these devices will not work.

My niece has a laptop of HP under vista32 who cannot access the network wirelessly or wired. She is in College and needs the laptop on the network as soon as possible for his class work. I tried to reload the driver wireless driver (Atheros AR5007 b/g) and reset the tcp/ip stack using the command netsh addressed in the microsoft article, but nothing works.
I brought the laptop to work where we have an unsecured wireless lan (called comments) for visitors and the laptop can go out and find all points of access wireless including comments. When I select the comments and try to connect it times out and tells me to watch driver and tcp/ip connections.
Another clue may be that the wireless card does not appear when I type ' ipconfig/all', or the adapter wireless and wired adapters are not displayed:

I'd appreciate any help I can get.
Thank you!
In the case where somone has this same question, I wanted to post my final resolution of the problem. I backed up its data and restored the laptop to factory default using HP restore and now everything works fine. Better I would say loading Zone Alarm on Vista was a bad thing for my niece to do. Would have been nice to find a magical solution to avoid restoring but never found one. Even after the alarm zone using their instructions by removing completely, there was apparently a problem with the registry who wouldn't let networks are working properly. One thing I noticed after that the restoration was the HP Wireless Assistant poped up and told me about available networks, etc. Assistant wireless didn't pop-up at all whne the cell was dismantled so maybe assistant was broken? Well, I'm out...

Hello
In most cases, if the physical button it is an indication that soemthing is wrong with the wireless hardware.
If you are still under warranty contact the assistance of suppliers of the laptop.
