Drop down to the opening of libraries

Im a complete noob to javascript... ive been reading some tutorials and stuff... but this is not enough!

what im trying to accomplish here is to have a drop-down list to open the selected file.

myDialog = app.dialogs.add var ({name: "Iconos Travelplan", canCancel:true});})
{with (MyDialog)}
{with (dialogColumns.Add ())}
{with (borderPanels.Add ())}
{with (dialogColumns.Add ())}
staticTexts.add ({staticLabel: "una biblioteca select :"}); "})
}
{with (dialogColumns.Add ())}
var myIcons = dropdowns.add ({stringList:})
['Iberrail', 'Costas', "Teletipos"], selectedIndex:0});
If (MyDialog.Show () == true) {}
(var Iberrail = app.open(File("/c/iberrail.indl"), false);
(var app.open(File("/c/costas.indl = Costas"), false);
(var Teletipos = app.open(File("/c/teletipos.indl"), false);
}
}
}
}
}
myDialog.destroy ();

Hey!

Here is my solution. Maybe there are other ways too...

var myFiles = Array(
     ["Iberrail","Costas","Teletipos"], // names in list box
     ["/c/iberrail.indl","/c/costas.indl","/c/teletipos.indl"] // file names
     );

var myDialog = app.dialogs.add({name:"Iconos Travelplan", canCancel:true});
     with(myDialog){
          with(dialogColumns.add()){
               with(borderPanels.add()){
                    with(dialogColumns.add()){
                         staticTexts.add({staticLabel:"Selecciona una biblioteca:"});
                    }
                    with(dialogColumns.add()){
                         var myIcons = dropdowns.add({stringList:myFiles[0], selectedIndex:0});
                    }
               }
          }
     }

if(myDialog.show() == true){
     app.open(File(myFiles[1][myIcons.selectedIndex]),false);
}

myDialog.destroy();

How long still is * going to go? I discovered only recently that Explorer in Windows 7 has a tree that falls to the bottom of the page fricking every time that a file is opened, so I am forced to dive to the bottom of the page to locate the folder. This is the Bug of scrolling in the left pane.

    See the bottom of this post for help with the left pane scroll bug using Classic shell.

    Say you want Microsoft fixed it by voting on the Microsoft Connect Web site:

    Look at the left pane scrolling bug:

    This illustrates a way to reproduce it, by clicking on the triangle to expand a folder, that you are currently viewing as it reproduces.

    Using the classic interface to restore functionality of Windows Explorer

    After you have installed the free Classic Shell , you can customize Windows Explorer more closely to how you want it, the quote below is just a way to do it. Click here to see some of the options that you can customize, and here is the FAQ page for the classic interface.

    A solution that works for the restoration of some features.

    1) install the free Classic shell.  It's very customizable and works like a mod for Windows Explorer rather than a full blown replacement. You don't need to install the classic Start Menu option, but you can if you wish.
    2) restart the computer.

    3) launch Windows Explorer (Start - computer) and turn on "Always show Menus" (organize - Layout - check menu bar). It's just for the configuration, you can disable it again later if you wish.
    4) right click on the menu bar and turn on the 'Classic Explorer Bar.' This adds a series of icons for cut/copy/paste in Explorer. Basically, it also adds the "Configuration" icon
    5) go in the configuration and from there, you can change things to your heart's content. To kill the horrible record-jumping 7 Windows, place you Vista in 'Style Navigation pane. You can even hit back to XP mode if you want (this adds lines to the tree of folders and adds a classic icon "+" for the expansion of folders). The Windows Vista folder display style looks about the same as the view from Windows 7, but it gets rid of the horrible blow.
    6) adjust other settings you want.

    After that, you can activate the toolbar and menus walk back to explore if you wish. Explorer Windows seems largely the same, but folders is no longer jumping around.  Vote for Microsoft to fix this bug.

    Now if only MS allows to code correctly so that we don't have to mess with third-party applications to get Windows actually works...

    You can also let Microsoft know you want this bug fixed here: http://mymfe.Microsoft.com/Windows%207/feedback.aspx?formid=195

  • I need to open the web site even in two separate tabs. Since I've upgraded to Firefox 6 when I try to open the web page in a new tab in the list in the drop down in the address window it gives that the opportunity to move to the already open tab.

    When I get off the fall from the address window, rather than display the URL of the Web site I want to open in a second tab says "switch to the tab '. But I don't want to move to the tab - I want to open a second tab on the same URL. If I want to open it a second time, I have to manually enter the address. Is it possible to turn off this option so that I can open the second tab by using the same address in the drop-down menu? I was always able to do this with the previous versions of Firefox.

    "Is it possible to turn off this option so that I can open the second tab by using the same address in the drop-down menu?

    You can install this add-on: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/switch-to-tab-no-more/

    Not related to your question, but...

    You must update some plug-ins:

  • Where is the button refresh and the drop down menu the menu to go to previous tabs

    Usually, there is a button to refresh/reload the page in its current state. You can also click Next for the "previous or next page" arrows and have a list of pages viewed before if you can select one of them to go back to not necessarily just the previous page. I guess you could just keep clicking on the arrow to the left, but it is really not satisfactory. I used these two features all the time and it is a definitive failure in the new version.

    Combined Stop/Go/Reload button

    From Firefox 4, the Go, the buttons Stop and reload are combined into a single button at the right end of the toolbar URL or address. The button changes depending on the type of activity:

    • green arrow GB when you type in the address bar
    • Red Stop ("X") button while the page is loading
    • Reload (circular arrow) to gray when the page is finished loading.

    There are separate buttons:

    1. Open the Customize the toolbar by clicking the Firefox button > Option > toolbars OR by clicking View > toolbars > customize if using the menu OR bar right click in an empty space on a toolbar and select Customize
    2. Stop and Reload buttons will show separate from the address bar and the search bar
    3. Drag the buttons anywhere on the Navigation toolbar
      • order Reload-Stop will bring together into a single button
      • order Stop-Reload will remain in separate keys
      • or drag a 'Separator' or 'Space' in the window customize between Reload-Stop and they will remain separate OR separated the two buttons with any other button
    4. Click done at the bottom right of the window customize to finish

    See: https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/how-do-i-customize-toolbars

    Button front/rear

    To access the history tab on the previous/next button, you can:

    • Right-click on the previous/next button
    • HOLD the left click button rear until appears the menu drop-down

    You can also install this add-on to restore the marker drop on the previous/next button:

    Hello

    You should make sure that you run not Firefox in private browsing mode permanent that it does not raise 'Save password' command prompt.
    https://support.Mozilla.org/KB/private+browsing

    Follow the steps below to make sure Firefox is not running on the private browsing:

    Tools > Options > privacy > Firefox will be: "use the custom settings for history".
    Uncheck the box: "always use the private browsing mode.

  • No list of "Drop Down" from the previous pages in v6.0

    In v3. X... you could get the prerequisites page views on a site/tab by clicking an arrow that was part of the rear navigation arrows. By clicking on the arrow gave you a drop down menu previous pages that you had read (from this tab). This feature is missing from version 6.0. Is it possible to get this back?

    Instead of clicking the arrow, you can do the same by clicking on the previous navigation buttons.

  • Next to the arrow to the left there used to be a drop down menu the option to view the previous just visited sites. Can we get that back?

    Rather than use it back arrow above and more to access a previous site I used, it used to be a water drop down just to the right of the arrow to the left. For this reason which has been deleted and can it be reported. If this is not the case, how to return to a previous version of Firefox?

    Click and hold an arrow now for a combined list of front/rear.
