File menu Flash dropdown, drops down on the site from loading in the browser.

< removed by mod >

Include code in your ad that deals with the appearance of the menu drop down. Something is triggering fall without having to interact with him... It will take just a stop(); command in the script if it's an animation timeline.

• update of a drop-down list of QML from C++ fails the first time

Hey gang,

I have a function in my C++ class that seeks a couple of drop downs by ObjectName and their Options adds.

the feature works well - except that when the application first starts, the function cannot find the menu drop-down, then the drop-down list is empty. At various times during the execution of the application, it refreshes the drop-down list and those all great works. It is only on the first attempt when the application first starts it fails.

Here's the function:

void WorkManager::updateDropDown() {
//  qWarning() << "WorkManager::updateDropDown(), running..";
/*
* this function updates the two drop down lists in the UI
* it updates them dynamically with the taskName() ('label') of the job.
* NOTE: for some reason, this doesn't find the dropdown's by name on first start. however subsequent runs work fine.
*/
int i = 0;
QList  myObjects = m_model->toListOfObjects();
DropDown * dpList = bb::cascades::Application::instance()->scene()->findChild("scriptListDropDown");
DropDown * logDpList = bb::cascades::Application::instance()->scene()->findChild("logDropDown");
if (dpList != 0 && logDpList !=0 ) {
dpList->removeAll();
logDpList->removeAll();
for (i = 0; i < myObjects.size(); i++) {
Task * myTask = static_cast (myObjects[i]);
myTask->setParent(this);
dpList->add(Option::create().text(myTask->taskLabel()).value(myTask->command()));
logDpList->add(Option::create().text(myTask->taskLabel()).value(myTask->taskName() + ".log"));
}
} else  {
//      qWarning() << "WorkManager::updateDropDown(), ---> dpList was 0, try again";
}
}

so when the application starts, I get this message of qWarning() and dpList (and logDpList) are both 0.

I tried the dissemination of calls to this function in various places at the same time the C++ class, so in onCreationCompleted() different signals in the QML IU - as for the homepage, TabbedPane, drop-down menus.

No matter where and when I call, I can't get the drop-down list to provide information on the first try.

is there a way to find a way to make this work? It's (quite) a little annoying. I wish that the onCreationCompleted() for the drop-down list would work, but alas, no joy.

Help?

Thank you!

J

Quite simply, if the object is not in the scene tree, you will get a result of findChild. It has not been created or added to the scene.

You say that you did above in onCreationCompleted of a drop-down list, but this would only guarantee that one of your drop-down menus has been created and your conditional statement requires that both happening simultaneously be non-null. You must run the above, when the two objects are created.

It seems that you can split the above function to manage separately, the dpList and logDpList after the onCreationCompleted of signals for each drop-down list.

Note: If you run findChild on the user interface of your entire application, your application has a serious design flaw.

• Don't want the previous file names being listed in the drop-down list the name of the file

I have windows 8. Don't want the names of previous files are represented in the file name drop-down list in the page save money when saving a page on the net.

Hi sliman,.

1. which web browser you are using?

If you are referring to Internet Explorer, the option to erase the file names when you save the Web page is not available. This feature is not provided because if the drop-down list does not display the file names already existing, you can eventually choose a file name that is already reflected in the previous file being overwritten and lost.

• CSS Drop down menu; How to align the edge right of the menu drop down and the parent menu?

Hi all

I have a drop down menu that works well.

The only change that I need to do is to have the right edge of the drop-down menu below to align with the right edge of the parent menu. When you hover over the menu, it currently "injects" down and to the right, with the left edges aligned.

• Several problems with embedded DHTML menu text boxes, drop-down

We have recently improved HR 10 HR 2015. We know a menu dhtml drop-down text question existed prior to the upgrade and the upgrade did not fix it. We now have a more serious problem. We are not certain that all started with the upgrade, but we detected it after you convert our projects to HR 2015 and republish them. I list both here in case they are connected.

The problem known: styles of multilevel list to the level of the main topic and within the text box drop-down dhtml to first level. However, if we add a drop-down list box text in a drop-down text box and apply a list style at several levels to the text in the drop-down text embedded dhtml, the topic seems in good shape on the Design tab, but loses the line numbers or bullets in the preview and in the published version. No idea what would cause the list not to display properly or how to get the multilevel list styles to work in this situation? (Yes, we know we can use styles list rather than multilevel list styles, but it is problematic, too)

list1.png

The novelty is that, when content is published and read in IE or Chrome (the two major browsers use customers), the drop-down text link embedded dhtml is always present, but the text in the drop-down list embedded dhtml has disappeared (for example, nothing happens when you click on the link to open the text box). It works in preview, but not when accessed through a browser (or access to the content of webhelp after publication to a server directly from my local computer). Any ideas on how to get it to display? The net result for our users, is that a substantial PART of the content of the assistance amount is now more accessible.list2.png

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide to these questions!

Here are a few things that I would consider trying.

First, click on Tools > update DHTML and let it do its thing.

A test to see if something has changed. If so, great!

If the problem persists, open one of the samples project. Click here to see a video on how to do

Then open Windows Explorer. Click here to see a video on how to do

Find and copy a file called ehlpdhtm.js and return to your project and paste this file into so that it replaces the one that is there.

Then see if things are better.

See you soon... Rick

• Drop down to the opening of libraries

Im a complete noob to javascript... ive been reading some tutorials and stuff... but this is not enough!

what im trying to accomplish here is to have a drop-down list to open the selected file.

myDialog = app.dialogs.add var ({name: "Iconos Travelplan", canCancel:true});})
{with (MyDialog)}
{with (dialogColumns.Add ())}
{with (borderPanels.Add ())}
{with (dialogColumns.Add ())}
staticTexts.add ({staticLabel: "una biblioteca select :"}); "})
}
{with (dialogColumns.Add ())}
var myIcons = dropdowns.add ({stringList:})
['Iberrail', 'Costas', "Teletipos"], selectedIndex:0});
If (MyDialog.Show () == true) {}
(var Iberrail = app.open(File("/c/iberrail.indl"), false);
(var app.open(File("/c/costas.indl = Costas"), false);
(var Teletipos = app.open(File("/c/teletipos.indl"), false);
}
}
}
}
}
myDialog.destroy ();

Hey!

Here is my solution. Maybe there are other ways too...

var myFiles = Array(
["Iberrail","Costas","Teletipos"], // names in list box
["/c/iberrail.indl","/c/costas.indl","/c/teletipos.indl"] // file names
);

var myDialog = app.dialogs.add({name:"Iconos Travelplan", canCancel:true});
with(myDialog){
with(dialogColumns.add()){
with(borderPanels.add()){
with(dialogColumns.add()){
staticTexts.add({staticLabel:"Selecciona una biblioteca:"});
}
with(dialogColumns.add()){
var myIcons = dropdowns.add({stringList:myFiles[0], selectedIndex:0});
}
}
}
}

if(myDialog.show() == true){
app.open(File(myFiles[1][myIcons.selectedIndex]),false);
}

myDialog.destroy();

• Menu Menu-> Make another Drop Down Menus Visible

I am having trouble with a simple if-else statement. When a certain selection is made in a drop-down list, I want two other menus to appear. (When running, they are hidden). The current problem is that when I try and select anything in the drop down menu, it will only allow me to select the an option. (If I try to choose something else, it amounts to the same thing every time.) If I put the 'if' statement to trigger to something else, then this option is that it displays and so forth. I did a lot of these types of scripts in other areas of this PDF file, but I can't understand why he is not doing what I want now.

The 'change' event is what I currently have this value. I also put it the event 'enter' without change.

If (this.rawValue = "ankle / Brachial Index (ABI) - 93922")
{
ABI.presence = "visible".
TBI.presence = "visible".
}
on the other
{
ABI.presence = "hidden".
TBI.presence = "hidden".
}

If there is a better way to do than the method that I am trying to use, please do not hesitate to suggest. I am certainly open to new learning methods.

You need two equal signs in the if statement to make a comparison. A single equal sign will assign a value but equal two to will be a comparison.
