• ACS 3.2 breaks down when the RDBMS isn't available.

  Someone knows a problem connecting equipment that auths to ACS 3.2 if their ACS (ODBC) login record is down?

  I have not checked this bug yet but we have picked up our computer (postgresql) of ODBC logging, it was moved to another building. Throughout the weekend that the computer was down and I couldn't log into any of my ACS devices controlled (switches, AS5200). As soon as the computer was brought back online connections have started working again.

  I did not see this listed in the notes, but I may have missed. In any case I'm check if anyone else has experienced this problem and ask yourself how do I solve this problem (at least it was a bad surprise, luckly I hadn't started wireless auth to the GBA unit)

  It is likely, although probably not documented anywhere.

  At the time current ACS works as follows:

  When ODBC is configured, ACS blocks authentication until the

  Log ODBC is done or has failed due to the delay. The failure of ODBC timeout

  occurs when the external database is unreachable. In this case, the

  authentication fails if this delay is longer than the

  timeout for the device.

  Workaround to activate authentication despite the failure of logging is to increase the radius-server on the device/NAS (for example time-out

  5 to 10 seconds). It can be done using the following CLI command:

  "radius-server timeout 10". You may need to increase it even more depending on how long the wait time is on your ODBC database.

  There is an enhancement request in to have the GBA behavior has changed, you can see here (http://www.cisco.com/cgi-bin/Support/Bugtool/onebug.pl?bugid=CSCeb21974&Submit=Search). Because he considered a request for improvement, don't hold your breath waiting for that, playing with delays so that you don't get hit by it again.

  Don't know if this will help you; but these are things that help prevent Adobe Reader from crashing...

  • Using Windows Explorer navigate to C:\Program Files (x 86) \Adobe\Reader 11.0\Reader, and then double-click Eula.exe and accept the license agreement
  • You can open Adobe Reader by itself?  If so, try to disable the Protected Mode [Edit |] Preferences | (Improved) security].
  • If Reader opens in itself, try to disable the Safe_mode in the registry; Download, unzip, then run the attached registry script

• Player Windows Embedded 10.1.2 breaks down using the typewriter tool

  Since 10.1.2 drive my typewriter tool documents do not work correctly in an integrated Adobe Reader window, for example in Firefox or Internet Explorer.

  Open the first file to http://www.ld-didactic.de/software/1.pdf shows the typewriter as usual tool window.

  Open the second file to http://www.ld-didactic.de/software/2.pdf does not display the typewriter tool window more.

  Also, the first new opening document will not display the typewriter again tool window. Instead the player often crashes while loading several documents of typewriter or by closing the built-in player.

  I tested it with Adobe Reader 10.1.2 in Firefox and Internet Explorer on Windows Vista and Windows 7 x 64 systems. He has worked with Adobe Reader 10.1.1.

  Can anyone reproduce this problem?

• iOS app breaks down at the return of cameraUI - a memory allocation problem?

  try to complete my first application

  When running on iOS, the application crashes SOMETIMES after returning from cameraUI ("use" / MediaEvent.COMPLETE or cancel "/ Event.CANCEL" "").

  When I leave some other applications running on my iPhone 3 g (and not many are open), the problem goes away, which makes me think it is a problem of memory allocation

  in this aspect, can I trust the iOS to leave inactive applications to allocate more memory for my, currently active, AIR application?

  (there is no memory leak)

  This is a version of os running iPhone 3Gs 4.3.5

  the app is made with Flash Pro 5.5 overlaid with AIR 3.1 sdk and deployed by using the "deploy to app store" type (which should be the most free)

  (no crashes on Android or desktop versions)

  someone had this problem of cameraUI or a similar where an application crashes if more then some numbers of applications are open?

• Time Machine breaks down during the work week, working all weekend after preferences rebuilt

  End of 2013 the MacBook Pro 13 "Retina display, 16 gig RAM, OS x 10.10.5, gigabit networks are home and work, NAS at home only.

  MacBook is used as working on simple business network machine all week. Time Machine off and save a couple hundred K and then crashes when I connect to home network at night. Same thing happens when I return to the home network for the weekend. I have disable TM, kill the TM preferences, restart to create new ones, back up on my home network NAS all weekend without problem. I turned off TM before going to work on Monday and back at home Friday night, and it fails. If the routine is now restore preferences TM Friday night, let the backup of its contents all weekend, turn off TM and go to work all week.

  I would like to have the security of offline backup that comes with the TM run all the time.

  It was suggested elsewhere to rebuild the Spotlight database. It did not work. I use locate on the command line and have rebuilt the database too.

  Any suggestions?

  A device third-party network attached storage (NAS) or a router is unsuitable for use with Time Machine, especially if it's your only backup. I know that's not what you want to hear. I know that Time Machine accepts the device as a backup destination. I know that the manufacturer says the device will work with Time Machine, and I also know that it usually seems to work. Except when you are trying to restore and find that you can't.

  Apple has published a specification for network devices that works with Time Machine. No third party provider, AFAIK, does meet this specification. They all use the application of Netatalk incomplete, obsolete Apple Filing Protocol.

  Apple does not endorse any device third-party network for use with Time Machine. See this support article.

  Network backup, use as destination an Apple Time Capsule or an external storage device connected to another Mac or a 802.11ac AirPort base station. Only 802.11ac base stations support time Machine, not older model.

  Otherwise, use Time Machine at all. There are other ways to save, although none of them are nowhere near as effective or as well integrated with OS X. I don't have a specific recommendation.

  If you are determined to continue to use the device with Time Machine, your only remedy for any resulting problem is the manufacturer (who will blame Apple, neither you nor anyone else but herself.)

• Satellite Pro A300 - recovery disc breaks down at the start

  Hi, hope someone can help you.

  Laptop has stopped working - continues to try to solve the problem via windows on startup but that hangs just for hours so I ordered a recovery disk to start a new as I think that the initial problems were caused by a virus. I have no important data to keep so am OK with clearing everything and reboot. Today. I just received my product recovery disk I ordered at Toshiba. I followed the instructions; load the disc, power over the holding of C. Then it continues just as if the recovery CD was not in the drive. The CD player is not turning. Its as if the laptop does not recognize the drive.

  Any ideas?

  Well, either i s something wrong with the recovery disk itself or the reader doesn't see the drive correctly

  What happens if you go to the BIOS boot menu (F12 key) and select the CD/DVD drive as the boot device?
  If it doesn't work try another bootable disk to make sure that the drive works properly.

• Windows Update fails, laptop breaks down at the restart, Windows 7

  I had to buy a new drive hard laptop to my Toshiba Satellite after the first one stopped working. I reinstalled Windows 7 and did all the required Windows updates. So I wonder to restart, as usual, and I do. The problem is, when it gets to the point where the laptop screen goes black, and it should restart, is not. It is just a black screen, no response to the pressing movement or the key of the mouse. I know that the laptop is still technically because that light on is still green.   I'm trying to resize a thin provisioned IDE drive using the following command:

  * Set-hard drive - HDD (Get-disk hard - VM myVm) - CapacityKB (37 * 1024 * 1024) *.

  However, I get the following error message when you try to do:

  Invalid operation for the device '0'

  The maximum size that works is 8GB (8 * 1024 * 1024) which is be the default size for the virtual Windows XP machine I created.

  Execution of the order, even against a SCSI drive works fine.

  I'm initially create virtual machines with a disk of 1 MB and resizing in order to reduce the time of provisioning. Someone has seen this before or know a work around? We currently lack of vSphere 4.0.

  Not sure if this is a bug or by design, it appears however that you cannot resize an IDE drive. (Interesting that you mentioned that it works up to 8GB).

  One solution is to convert the drive.

• Leaving the opening

  It is not that I really want, but I start looking for a new photo application.

  Can anyone recommend a photo app to replace the opening?

  With the opening being more supported, I would find a new application that can do some of the same things to me like Aperture doing now. What I need, it's Canon raw edition, change of batch of names of files etc., library and organization, and export to .jpg. I also use the magic wand for the improvement of the image.

  I'm certainly not professional, just a happy amateur taking lots of photos with DSLR and the iPhone. Searched a bit on Lightroom, but I would like to hear if anyone has recommendations.

  What comes to mind is

  iPhoto (which is no longer supported, but works well in ElCapitan).

  Photos, which will run better is perhaps the future, and who has the ability to use third-party extensions.

  Lightroom, which is at least as good as the opening and is able to read in the Aperture library. Maybe the best. BUT: Adobe has changed its model to earn income lately to treatment that makes it even more expensive that it was already in clouds... I use Lightroom 6 autonomous without cloud and I'm very satisfied, how long it will stay there, who knows.

  DxO Optics Pro: very good for treatment, but not as good as Lightroom as an organizer. I use it as a plugin for Lightroom.
