Windows 7 taskbar hidden

All of a sudden, I can't have the Windows 7 taskbar to show when I place the cursor at the bottom... What could be the causes?

It is a known issue that is finally admitted to by Microsoft and occurs with several browsers using Windows 7. Simplest solution is to click on the Windows button to bring up the hidden taskbar.

  • Everything started happening: Windows 7 taskbar hidden Firefox down. Reappears if F11 key twice but then disappears again

Firefox is updated - 30.0, and I think that since the last update I can no longer see the taskbar. If I press F11 (fullscreen) twice he reappears, but then if I go to, say, a document word and return, he disappears again. Ditto if I click anywhere on the screen in firefox. Taskbar are locked and set to desktop wallpaper - they have always been.

It turns out that it was down to my having "slept" or put the laptop into "hibernation" several times without having close. After a shutdown and reboot, everything is ok again

  • Why doesn't Firefox support the Windows 7 taskbar properly.

Firefox does not work in static form of the Windows 7 taskbar button. When you close the main window of Firefox, the downloads window stays open. Because it is a Firefox window still open, you cannot start an another main Firefox window without first close the downloads window. It is against the expectations of the design of the Windows 7 task bar.

    This has happened

    Each time Firefox opened

    == I installed Firefox on Windows 7

Double clicking on the icon of Firefox on the desktop (or by using the start menu) will allow another "main" window of Firefox to open - even if the download window is still open.

This problem is fixed in the latest alpha of Firefox versions, so that the 'hand' last window is closed leave the application - even if windows as downloads are still active. (This will be fixed in Firefox 4.0, because updates minor Firefox only to solve problems of stability and security and not to introduce new behaviors)

  • My windows XP taskbar (bottom of screen) is frozen

My windows XP taskbar (bottom of screen) is frozen and that two tabs of the program are ('my computer' and 'sure shaw' - my anti-virus protection of server), but they are not accessible or able to be closed.

The taskbar is empty and only shows a vertical arrow head double whenever the screen cursor is hovering over him.  The only way I can access my programs running using the Task Manager and double click on the required program.  I can not even do a system restore, because I can't access the Start button.

    Help, please!

I don't know what the cause of the gel (check with MalwareBytes Antimalware and SUPERAntiSpyware could be good measures to take, though), but you can run system restore by
    Start > run > %SystemRoot%\System32\restore\rstrui.exe > OK

    Hi Comintern,

    ·         Did you do changes on the computer before the show?

    ·         You receive an error message or error code?

Follow the suggestions below for a possible solution:

    Method 1:

Step 1: Start in safe mode and check if the problem persists.

Start your computer in safe mode

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/start-your-computer-in-safe-mode

Step 2: If the problem does not occur in safe mode, you can put your system to boot (in normal mode) to solve the problem.

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

Note: After troubleshooting, be sure to configure the computer to start as usual as mentioned in step 7 in the above article.

Method 2: I also suggest that you scan your computer with the Microsoft Security Scanner, which would help us to get rid of viruses, spyware and other malicious software.

The Microsoft Security Scanner is a downloadable security tool for free which allows analysis at the application and helps remove viruses, spyware and other malware. It works with your current antivirus software.

Note: The Microsoft Safety Scanner ends 10 days after being downloaded. To restart a scan with the latest definitions of anti-malware, download and run the Microsoft Safety Scanner again.

Important: While running scan on the hard drive if bad sectors are found on the hard drive when scanning try to repair this area if all available on which data may be lost.

  • The Adobe reader print window menu, the button print is covered by the Windows 7 taskbar

The Adobe reader print window menu, the button print is covered by the Windows 7 taskbar.  I can still print on my laptop by pressing on enter, but I can't resize the print windows to narrow down, or click on the "print" button from my bar tasks it covers.

In the middle of the three buttons at the top right. Make sure the middle one shows one box. Then you can drag the window down and in and grabbing the banner at the top to raise it above the taskbar.

Make sure that there are no other open windows including minimized in the taskbar, and then close Adobe Reader. Windows will remember the size as long as it is the last window closed.
  • Over years: taskbar Windows 7, sometimes hidden with FF 7.0.1

I pointed out to him that this problem has been long. Sometimes, by the way my cursor to the bottom of the screen of the monitor fails to reveal the taskbar in W7. If I restore FF down to a smaller screen size, then the taskbar will appear when the cursor is passed down.

Because it is a random problem, it is very difficult to determine with certainty what makes. But I will say that it seems to happen when KeeFox is manipulated in some way. And, can be temporarily put everything right to turn around restore/maximize...

For those of you who are interested in this issue, it seems that it is a bug window dating back to Vista and that it must still be fixed by Ms. This problem has also been reported with IE and Chrome, but not of Maxthon (been a long user date of the latter and never had this problem). The best solution seems to be clicking the Windows button to restore the taskbar. You can read about this problem on these two URLS:

So far, I noticed only these problems that make me very difficult to work. The main problem is that I'm not in a situation to format my laptop. Please help me with these problems.

    Hello

Restart in safe mode and run the antivirus scans here. You have symptoms of an infected machine. Scanning in safe mode will reduce efforts of the virus to avoid detection.

To restart in safe mode, restart normally, and when the system resets you can press the F8 key. It is point immediately after the screen logo POST or manufacturer initial of the system, and just before Windows starts to load. This will give you a boot menu where you can choose Safe mode.

While you're here, you must also download and run the tool free malwarebytes here:http://www.malwarebytes.org/ (choose Safe mode with networking to do this). He can catch something that lack of MSE, no security tool is perfect.

  • Windows 7 Taskbar Pro Date & time

    Hello

    Windows 7 Professional

On October 8, 2016, the time and the Date appeared in my taskbar. The date was shown in numbers 10/08/2016.  On October 9, 2016, the date was no longer in the taskbar.

The taskbar had moved? No, there is plenty of room and the date is not hidden.

The "small icons" had been accidentally activated? The checkbox in the properties isn't clear.

The only place that remains to be verified (as I know) is control panel > language and region.

The short Code had not changed and I spent nearly half an hour to try all kinds of variations of number short and only show the date in the task bar, which reads now, 11 October 16.

In addition, the date format changed in Windows Explorer.

What in the world is happening? I prefer my original format.

    Thank you

Same thing happened to me a few days ago on my work computer, as well as on my home computer, with Windows 7 Professional. It seems that this is a problem of vertical taskbar, when there is not enough space for the date.

Maybe all changed refresh a date display on the taskbar.  More wide bat task solves this problem.

  • Cannot detach Firefox icon to Windows 7 taskbar - new facility.

I installed Firefox on a new laptop running Windows 7 today. It appears that the installation has a FF icon on my Windows 7 icon. Large. However, when I click on this icon, it adds a second FF icon beside the original and the other and the other for each session of FF that I opened. It obstructs the taskbar! My previous install simply "stacked" FF session icons in one place on the taskbar?

I have read several threads which suggest FF opening with the original on the taskbar icon. Then, right click the new icon and select "pin this icon to the taskbar. Then right-click of the original icon and select "remove this icon to the taskbar. That's the problem. When I right click the original icon, no additional options are displayed. Nothing! He says only: "Mozilla Firefox".

So, basically, I can't delete the original icon at all? Any suggestion would be appreciated!

jscher2000. Thank you once again. Well, I solved it, but by chance. I restarted the PC and the icon disappeared from the taskbar! Weird. I created a new start menu, and no, it works as expected.

On your previous post, you are probably right. FF did not place the icon in the taskbar. Got dragged there that has been placed on the desktop. Good fishing.

Not sure why the previous icon would cooperate not at all on the first time. Just after the restart. Maybe a registry setting?

    Thanks again!

  • Problem opening 26.0 Firefox from the Windows 7 taskbar.

I have Firefox pinned to the taskbar in Windows 7 on the bottom of my screen. I use a desktop PC. Most of the time, when I click the icon it opens Firefox without any problems. However, occasionally, when first, I turn on my computer and click on the Firefox icon in the taskbar, it gets highlighted but does not appear the little circle and the highlight fades without opening the browser. When that happens, I can not yet turned off my computer without pressing the button on the tower. This happens only the first time that I open the browser in the morning, and it seems to happen every two weeks. Any thoughts on what is happening? I just had a virus removal made, so that shouldn't be the problem.

  • How can I fix the space between the bottom of my window and taskbar?

Recently (today), firefox has had a space between the bottom of the window and my taskbar. I tried the relocation and safe mode, and it does not disappear. Here is a screenshot of the problem. http://imgur.com/mTQtrDN

  • Duplication of Firefox icons on the Windows 7 taskbar

Citing the Forum Windows 7: http://www.sevenforums.com/general-discussion/256708-duplicating-icons-taskbar.html

    Hello

I searched high and low for a way to do this, but I can't seem to find anything. First of all, I don't want to install or download any program whatsoever. I want to do with what I have, aka Windows 7.

Let's say I have 2 or more profiles Firefox. I want to open them in separate windows. This is done easily with - no.-remote, correct? Well, if I want to open them in two different icons on the taskbar?

Currently, I open both profiles, but they will be grouped in the Firefox icon. I don't want them be grouped. I could customize my taskbar and choose something other than "always combine, skin tags. Unfortunately, I don't want labels. And I want every other icon to combine. It's only the different profiles in Firefox I want to separate.

    Is this possible?

    Moderator sets the broken URL

You can try to do a copy renamed only the firefox.exe file in the current Firefox program folder to see if it works.

If this does not work, you can try to copy the whole Firefox program folder to another folder (Mozilla Firefox2) to see if that works (may as well fail because the firefox2.exe program will still report as the same application in the Windows OS) and firefox.exe program is only a draft that checks if other Firefox programs are already running without a - no.-remote switch and load the real application if necessary.

  • Why the title bar on Firefox and the Windows 7 taskbar let distorted image when a list of folders crosses one or the other?

I use a lot of folders in my bookmarks list. I noticed that with AMD and Nvidia cards based on video, that if I use a folder in my bookmarks list that a lot, a lot of bookmarks, the bookmark list will cross the box title bar of Firefox and the taskbar in Windows 7 and down. When this happens, the title bar on Firefox versions 8-10 and the taskbar at the bottom let images from the list of bookmarks which do not disappear (at least that I have use F11 mode full screen to clear away from the image and bring it back to normal). If I use a Matrox video card, it doesn't. Why is this?

    Try turning off hardware acceleration.

    • Tools > Options > advanced > General > Browsing: "use hardware acceleration when available.

If disable hardware acceleration works then check if there is an update available for your graphics display driver.
