Drop shadow & effects too rough!

Hi guys, I've been on this during two days now. In the past, I've created a logo with the graphic style Pearl and adds a shadow to my text. I think that I have created to outlines. I've done a few pieces more than I think. I like to stretch and the effects Gallery etc. However when I use the effects Gallery on my text sometimes really blurred. I mean useless.

I tried to create contours, raterizing and many different, what I am doing wrong? All effects are pretty useless and there is no major changes, I'm doing something wrong. A few hours ago the effects went well, that I don't remember what I did. It just seems to be vectorize, then rasterize. Then when I've traveled efffects Gallery they showed good. But I can't reproduce what I did.

Any ideas?Logo.png

entry into force / document raster effects settings... in the menu bar. out the max resolution and maybe to try anti-aliasing.

except that you can evolve your largest logo

  • Why my Drop Shadow effect has disappeared?

I used the drop shadow effect all the time in FCPX. Now it no longer displays in the effect controls panel and clips that already had the effect previously, now show that the effect is missing. I restarted the program and it is up-to-date.

See if it is in the aesthetic category. If she is not there, try reinstalling the application.

  • For Drop Shadow Effects to InDesign help. Good or bad?

I'm carrying a book in InDesign 5.5. The book is sent in PDF format to the Publisher of the book. The book includes about 400 pictures that many are wrapped in the text (clothing). My question is: what are the pitfalls or problems that might result if I apply a shadow to photos using InDesign, drop shadow functionality?

I see two check boxes in the Drop Shadow Effects dialog box:

Object mask Shadow & honors other effects of shade. I guess I want the object to knock out the shadow?

You're probably going to want to knock out the shadow. There are times where you might want to do otherwise, but unless you are very familiar with the overprint and knockout, I would recommend to stay away. Here is more information on the subject: http://help.adobe.com/en_US/indesign/cs/using/WSa285fff53dea4f8617383751001ea8cb3f-7038a.h tml

The only trap I can think in aesthetics. Shadows are used when used subtly. To facilitate your work, instead of individually apply a shadow to your objects, you can apply a style object. This would allow you to easily make changes to all objects with the drop shadow effect. More on that here: http://help.adobe.com/en_US/indesign/cs/using/WS5CEDB81A-0011-4dc9-9DE8-AC7AD4C80076a.html

  • Drop shadow effect is not visible

I use CS4 for Windows and I have several great books for her, but I'm still fighting fill a simple shadow on the picture effect. No matter what I try to use the fall simple shadow fx or suggestions complex building several different layers, I never see the final effect on the photo. I even click and uncheck "Preview", but it makes no difference. The photo displayed in the window of my CS4 continues to look like the photo when I first opened it. Am I supposed to flatten layers or somehow bring together them into a single layer?

    I'm puzzled.

I'd appreciate any help. I'm sure I'm doing something completely ignorant, but I'm willing to drive me crazy to finally resolve this issue.

    Once again, thank you.

    Kind regards

    Bob

When you have 'created' the canvas, did you actually go to the Image-canvas size and expand the area of the canvas, or just fill in an area around your existing image with white?

You must understand that the shadow appears outside the edge pixels of the layer, so if your image is taking up all the space of the canvas, the shadow will drop simply fall outside the visible area. Try to make a new layer and fill in a little box with any color, then apply the drop shadow effect, and you will see that it is not the edge of your box. The shadow on your image layer is applied the same way.

  • Select text AND drop shadow effect

I have a text layer which has also an effect layer shadow.

If I have to ctrl + click on the thumbnail of the layer, as expected, it selects the text but is not also include the drop shadow layer style. I guess it's because the Ctrl clicking on the miniature mask selects the non-transparent pixels completely and drop shadow layer mask is slightly transparent?

How can I easily select text and ALL pixels of drop shadow?

In a Word, I want to choose only 100% transparent pixels, so I can reverse to select the 100% opaque text and < 100% pixels layer transparent drop shadow?

Thanks for any help you can give.

The pixels are selected; It is that ants walking delineate only the boundary between lower or greater than 50% selected. To select completely all non-transparent pixels in your shadow layer, select as you did and go quick mask mode. Make sure that the quick mask is active in the Panel layer and run the threshold with a value of 255. Return to Standard mode, and you will see ants on expanded.

  • Help with two text objects which are spaced closely shadow effect...

    Hi all

I have 2 text objects, the two effects of shadows drop applied, as they are spaced closely, his shadow effect is quite visible on another text as its white colored text...

What should I do if the two text will be clearly visible / no drop shadow effect to a text on another?

Sorry, I'm completely new to this... Please give a link if there requested similar question already here...

Thanks for taking a peek @ the question...

    Vish...

If you put the text layer that has shadow top above the layer which is the cause, it will go away.

If the effects of two layers are performing each other then you just put one on the other.  You need to go and fix it manually.  There are two ways to do this:

    (1) in the menu effects for shadows check the box that says 'layer mask hides effects '.  Then create a layer mask and simply hide the shadow where you don't want to.

    (2) put the layer with the shadow in a group and put on a mask of clipping on the group.  You can then paint in the shade.

Stamp 3) visible, then layer mask.

  • Drop shadow can be found in paragraph 12.1 AE

    Hello world

Has anyone noticed? Drop shadow behavior has changed recently, perhaps between 12.0 and 12.1 updated.

Historically, shadow was applied before transformations, letting us compensate for the angle of the shadow when you turn the layer at the same time.

Now it seems that we don't need to compensate, as if the angle of the shadow was applied after transformations.

It is certainly a set practice to date, but is there a way to reverse this behavior to the old, to end of compatibility?

    Thank you

    David

There is no change in this area. My guess is that you sometimes used the drop shadow effect, which comes before the transformations, and sometimes used the style layer of shadow, which comes after. Another possibility is that you sometimes use the effect on continually of pixelated layers, which have a different rendering order.

    can u help me?

    Thank you

You must check the transparencySettings. There are several levels of these parameters (fill, stroke, content, etc..)

You need to check: TransparencySetting.dropShadowSettings.mode for each of these levels.

  • FW Drop Shadow problem

I created a website at FWCS3 and when I put a background behind it (in DWCS3), drop shadow effects that I do not work with all colors other than white.  Can someone give some advice?  If I use another color for the background shading looks terrible, like a grayish color please help.

What you need to do is to save your images as a png with transparency files... Then the shadow will look at all the horizons of the color.

This does not work in IE and below without a javascript fix.

  • Why the drop shadow is not available under the effect - style?

I'm having the hardest right now time with the functionality of the illustrator of the drop shadow. It's nothing exists for me. I have the selected object I want to apply the effect to and the only option available is Scarlet contours. Nothing else is there as an option or even gray. I restarted my computer and closed Illustrator several times and that doesn't change. I have also opened up a whole new file and just drew a rectangle and went to effect - style and it still only gave me glowing edges. I'm at my wits end on this one.

There are two submenus aesthetic. Glance to the top.

  • Effects of text in InDesign, drop shadow, outer glow, etc...

Hi, I'm in InDesign CS4 on a PC running XP.

I was wondering if it is safe to use text effects in InDesign the drop shadow, outer glow. I think someone told me earlier that they are best used in Photoshop especially if you want to print. I just wanted to check that I will be having something printed with the help of ID...

    Thank you.

I've never had a problem with shadow or a glow on text in ID when you go to print, but I let my live transparency and let the printer handle flattening RIP. You can have problems with a printer that has old equipment and insists on having a flattened PDF, but if it happens press (rather than the digital output) even what is unlikely, although I tend to stay away from the effects of ads where I'm not supported the selection of the printer.

The only way that you would avoid flattening of the questions by the effects in Photshop would be to flatten the image in Photoshop and placing this, but this will rasterize text unnecessarily and will probably lower quality type in the final output.

  • Drop Shadow problem with Photoshop CC 2015

When I batch process drop shadow actions using Photoshop CC 2015, the decline in the shadows seem to completely mess up on some images, either hardly appear or enlarge much too big.

All images are 184 x 184 with canvas 192 x 192, the installation program the shadow effect to use the available space.  And I even returned to CS6 using for now which works very well and CC 2014 worked very well, it happens only in CC 2015.

What is even more strange, I have manually scroll actions step by step until I get to the drop shadow error, and if I double click on the action of the shadow, it applies perfectly well. But then, when I come back and perform the action it always creates the wrong shade.

In my view, there is a known bug with the layer effects not putting the correct numbers in situations where you copy and paste the layer styles and executing actions, as you do. If all goes well there will be a fix soon.

  • Drop shadow quality in print

I often use the drop shadow in Adobe Illustrator effect or move the file HAVE in InDesign or export the file to PDF. The problem is that when the PDF or InDesign file is printed the shadow does not retain the same look of loss on the outer edge of the shadow. The image below shows a scan of a recent design, I created. The left image is printing and the right image is the file placed as a smart object in Photoshop. You can see that on the edge of the shadow to the impression that there is a significant advantage, especially on the white part of the background. In the smart object, the shadow falls correctly.

    http://img821.imageshack.us/img821/8669/dropshadow.jpg

What I found is that if I take the file in Photoshop first, flatten the file and save it as a PSD, then out of the shadows is not the same problem. The printed piece still looks as it should be by using this process.

Although it works very well for the working RGB or CMYK, I have a file which must use spot colors in color so I can't align to flatten without converting them to an object in grayscale, then to a Duotone in Photoshop, but I really don't like how the design appears like a Duotone. I need to keep the file as a file HAVE so it retains the tones, but I need to know if there is a way to keep the edge of the shadows to be visible when the file is printed.

You should not pass through hoops as you are to get what you want.  Your screenshots reveal a big problem in the period of INQUIRY where the same shadow will not look the same.  The printed version looks like it (the shadow) has been converted to 1-bit.  I see that you have selected "Transparent background" in the Raster setting.  In your dialog box print of Illustrator, (try the white background in option) which is the resolution of the document set on?  If you have the resolution of 300ppi Raster, your document must be set to about 5080 DPI.  Save the Illustrator (copy) file as .eps Spot Color.  I see no need to create an intense Black shadows.  All this might be connected to the output device.  'Fusion' and how do you use on the shadow if necessary?  Black must print too red.

  • Too rough Lightroom CC exposure compensation?

    Hello!

I wonder if West anyway useful to get the exposure compensation slider to 'Develop' Panel working properly! Now it works in Lightroom CC2015 too "roughly" and its almost unusable so: increase exposure "+ 0.55" blows off highligts and you must correct them-"100" to get back them and then the entire image looks like plastic. "

Is the "amount" related to the values of the AV - exhibition I can't believe then? I could use a virtual ND filter to Lightroom.

Try exhibition + 0.5, drag the Shadows slider to the right to lift the shadows, then drag the highlights to the left to lower the highlights.

If this is not enough, try local adjustments in addition, as suggested.
