Note that there is little change in DRS [email protected]. In my view, the hosts with 8 VM is still not fully charged & DRS think same host is good enough.

DRS does not work

Hi all
I have a small virtual environment (vSphere 5.1) with 3 guests and 22 VMs and the DRS does not seem to work.
One of the army gives "Use of memory host alerts" because using more than 95% of the memory of the host.
Looking at the hosted virtual machines, I notice that the other 2 hosts only 1 VM each while that of 3rd welcomes all the rest.

I do not understand why the load is automatically redistributed to other hosts because DRS (and HA) are enabled (in the more aggressive threshold).

The summary of Cluster view, correctly, that the load is not balanced.
Then why do not start automatic migrations?

Thanks for the reply of weinstein5. I got a better look at the technical details of the DRS and indeed it is intended to ensure the VMs workloads and not host balancing, my mistake...

Load balancing

DRS distributes workloads to virtual machine on vSphere inside the cluster hosts. Continually, DRS monitors Active workload and available resources and performs or recommend migration of VM to optimize the performance of the workload.

The Council had to disconnect/connect the host showing 0 MHz for the CPU. I did it and magically he began to migrate VMS on host once it has been reconnected.

DRS does not work... any ideas?

I have a 3.5 ESX cluster node with active DRS 3.
1 host - 38 machines and using 32 GB / 64 GB ram
2nd host - 17 machines using 24 GB / 64 GB ram
3rd host - 16 machines using 16 GB / 64 GB ram
I set it to aggressive and when I click on generate recommendations, nothing happens.
DRS Resource distribution says to use for one hundred says: 1 bar of cpu all the way upward at 0-10, 2nd spu high bar at 10-20 at halfway.
Bars of memory all halfway up, one at 20-30, the other at 30-40, the other at 40-50.
Percent titled is 90 and 100.

your cluster is stable. If your % of duty resources provided are 90 + for CPU/memory, you're good. Your cluster is balanced.

How HA does not assign hosts if DRS is not running

I use three hosts vSphere advanced and ESX4. The advanced version includes HA but not DRS.
If one of my hosts breaks down, how the system decides what virtual machines are migrated to each host remaining when DRS is not available?

Now, when I run the above on IntegratedWebLogicServer JSF page in JDeveloper 12.2.1... The columns in the table, but instead to display all the data, the page keeps refreshing repeatedly.

The error message tells you that your bean class holding the table needs a Set accessor method for the table. The Set accessor is called by the framework when the page was created.

Add a setTable (RichTable t) viod your beans and it should display the table.

As you initialize it the table the first time that call you the Get accessor, you need not store the table through the Set accessor.

I use Jdeveloper 12 c, and my problem is stated as:
I developed an application in jdeveloper 11g, then I migrated it to 12 c. He was executed successfully on my own laptop. Can I send it to my client, when the client tried to run on integrated WLS, the Index.jsf (first page to run) is stuck. When he removed the ADF security configuration it run correctly. But once again, once set up, he gave the same problem means Index.jsf gets stuck and tries to reload and reload and reload, but nothing happens.

VM PortGroup does not

Hello, first of all, sorry for my extreme of perfect English.
I am facing a weird problem here, after adding an ESXi host in a cluster and don't configure it like all his peers, one of the Portgroup VM does not work correctly, when DRS or my right hand puts a VM use on this new host, the virtual machine gets no connectivity.
I double checked the configuration of the network on the ESXi, I triple check the configurations of ports on the switches of medical examinations, as its basically the same surrounding ESXi/ports, it was easy to see that it's all sounded good.
Then why am I here and not replacement of network adapters or change the ports of the switches? Well, when I add a VMkernel port on the same vSwitch, using the same local network as the defective Portgroup VM VIRTUAL, it is simply works.
If anyone has an idea...

You have the vlan 1 on the trunk ports native? If vlan native then, together in one vlan unused ID if you force tagging vlan 1 traffic as well. Always good practices on the trunks of esx

So I downloaded ESXi 5.1 and begun to installed
First surprise, I had (it did not recognize my network card, I went to amazon and bought an Intel PCI Express NIC to get there)
After 2 weeks, I received it today.
Finally, I put the PCI network card in the motherboard and begin the installation.
Everything seems to be perfect, great when I had until I completed the installation... I smile and then saw the message Installation successful, remove the CD from the CD room and restart the server.
Right Awesooome! But then the problem occurred.
After that the unit is back from the restart process he did not recognize any boot image installed on the drive hard (hard disk already set from the BIOS as a startup option)
An error message like:
does not recognize the bootable media
I tried re installation, overwriting without success. (Same behavior)
I know it's a very simple process, but what might happen here,

I have no idea why you install esxi on a metal bere machine but I assume you want for a lab at home.

Well from my experience, when I started to learn Vsphere 5.1 - I was installing windows 7 on a desktop computer - then bought Vmware Workstation - I installed 5 ESXI host on it and tested all the features (HA, DRS, FT, VMotion etc.).

I have a HDD i5 Desktop 2 t and 32 GB of Ram - but you could look for at least 8 GB of Ram it works perfectly.

Let me know if you need help setting up Esxi in workstation...

I am currentley involved in a VMware View PoC... I'm running now 5 ESXi hosts with a toal of 24 GHz of CPU and 20 GB of RAM. I'm currentely have 3 servers of view (regular, security, transfer) and 4 virtual desktops... each of these machines have 1 GB of RAM allocated. For some reason, all of these VMs will only by two of my servers in the cluster. 3 other servers have NOTHING on them... what gives?... I disabled HA because I didn't feel it is nessecery right now for my PoC but the DRS is turned on and I put it to automated (aggressive)... I get errors on one of the hosts on the use of host... resources which would not happen if the DRS work properly. Every time I click on "runDRS" nothing happens... it says only: "discounting to the recommendations" in the task pane, but does not actually work gives recommendations... Also, I must add that I get the error of unbalanced load (0,367)
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated...

Your virtual machines will not be migrated to different ESX hosts, if the hosts they run on are not under any kind of strain (even if you set the fully automated political DRS and 5 stars)

If you have the luxury of being underprivileged, you might consider using something like DPM to actually close the ESX hosts that are not in use.

If at the same time, you want to check that DRS is working properly, just drop some virtual machines more on host computers and ensure that nail resources (you'll want to CPU / memory usage by more than 70% on each host for the DRS to a few "pose")

The last parameter to RegisterVM_Task is the host where you want the guest to save.

You pass $null, so DRS will decide for you.

If you want a specific host, you can do

VM does not migrate

Attempt to migrate a system Win2K8 R2 64-bit node 4 node 1. There are three SCSI adapters in the VM who have share of buses due to FC SAN for campaigns of brightness (10 shared drives with a second system... Yes it's for Exchange). I turned off the system in question, is the migration of node 4 node 1 with zero errors in the GUI. selected node 1 and it comes, right click to turn on, said he registers on system and then bounces to 4 knots to on. You could test by either changing the manual DRS and then try to turn it back on. Or before trying to turn on, put the node 4 in maintenance mode.

iPhone 7 more buttons outside does not

I've had my iPhone 7 + for about 2 weeks now. Every once in awhile all buttons outside to stop, volume up/down, power, home. The home button will still record and push and give the sensation of taptic and touchID works. The phone itself still works and I can answer texts and which do not use notifications.
