SL500 with Core 2 Duo T6670

1. this processor supports SSE3?

2. when I checked my bios, I found off virtualization. When I turn it on to 'active' what will be the impact on my computer. Everything works fine or not?

3. can I use it with virtualization enabled? I use Linux one is trying to experiment with VirtualBox?

I ask because I'm looking for a while but found no answer to what needs to happen if I turn on virtualization. So, I found this forum on lenovo PCs. As I said I have lenovo sl500 with centrino core 2 duo T6670.

Sorry to bother you, next time I'll do it. And thanks for the reply.

  • Can my iMac 21.5-inch, late 2009 with Core 2 Duo deal with 16 GB of RAM?

I think to upgrade the RAM on my Mac to 16 GB or more. My Mac will handle it well?

In accordance with article Apple here: install memory in an iMac - Apple's Support,

For models of iMac (late 2009), you can use 2 GB or 4 GB RAM SO-DIMM memory DDR3 SDRAM 1066 MHz in each slot.

The statement gives the impression that my iMac can not handle more than 8 GB of RAM. (2x4gb). is this correct?

Your iMac can handle a maximum of 16 GB of ram (4 x 4). A single note use quality a supplier like OWC or Crucial ram and avoid the bargain brands.

  • Motherboard Asus P5LP - limestone with Core 2 Duo... is it possible?

    Hello

So Ive wanted to upgrade my CPU for a while now for my computer HP m7167c with the motherboard Asus P5LP - limestone. On the product information HP on the motherboard, I see Upgrading CPU best I can get is Pentium D or Pentium 4. Given that the motherboard is the LGA 775 socket type, would fit in a Core 2 Duo E7500 Wolfdale. I was hoping that there would be in any way you can do this work., and I have concluded that, although this might be dangerous, it coul be done by flashing the BIOS using windows XP. If there is someone who knows how to do this could you please help me?

    Hello:

It would be 100% chance of not working to install a C2D.

At least with the shot in the dark, you can have a chance on the outside to hit something.

Installation of a Pentium D 945 with the last update of the BIOS provides a better result than shooting in the dark.

Maxing out the memory is a good thing, or add at least 2 x 1 GB sticks to the two empty slots. If you have not done this, I would do it before the upgrade of the processor.

I looked at the specs of product for your PC, and I see no power supply specifications. I need to know what the power of the P/S before recommending a video card with HDMI output for your machine.

  • The Core 2 Duo CPU runs on the Qosmio G30?

    Question is as follows:
In 2 months, Intel will come with Core 2 Duo/merom cpu for laptop.
Then PC laptop toshiba qosmio todays will support these processors for an upgrade?
And I wonder generally how much can be improved with a toshiba laptop?
As if I want to have the e-sata on this laptop. Maybe not supported by the chipset?

    Hello

AFAIK the Qosmio G30 were delivered for example with Intel Core Duo Yonah processor T2400 1.83 GHz.
But according to mu, it is not possible to upgrade laptops with the other processors.
One of the reasons could be an overheating problem.
Processors more produce more heat and therefore the temperature rises of critical level. In this case the unit will stop automatically.

I have a MacBook Pro 17 withProcessor - in 2.33 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo (circa 2007).  Running OS 10.7.5 (Lion).  System indicates the computer is not compatible with OS later.  Hardware can be upgraded to the latest processors and other components to make it compatible with the latest OS.  I think that later models of Macbook Pro 17-inch with processors that allow updates.  I was wondering if these can be swapped or if alternatives were available.

Only the RAM and storage (HD, SSD) can be changed.  Everything is welded to the map logical and selected specially for the system configuration.

    I'm sorry.

I don't know about other issues. There are always 'problems' with any upgrade. You weigh against the benefits. I know that you need more RAM. At least 4 GB, maybe more if you can. Don't forget that this system is produced at a time when most of the machines have + 8 GB RAM and when Apple said 'minimum' they really mean it.  I recently inherited a MacBook that has 2 GB of RAM and the Mavericks. When I checked the memory, the use of the system was using 1.95 GB = nothing to run applications!

  • Currently using iMac 2007 Yosemite 10.10.5 with 2 GB 667 mhz ddr 2 with 2.4 ghz core 2 duo with intel that I should upg at El Capitan

Currently using iMac 2007 Yosemite 10.10.5 with 2 GB 667 mhz ddr 2 with 2.4 ghz core 2 duo with intel that I should upg at El Capitan.  Very slow system.  This improvement will speed up?

In my opinion, unless you upgrade the RAM 6 GB. You can get a kit of RAM 6 GB OWC (www.macsales.com) or you can get a DIMM 4 GB + 2 GB of Crucial (direct purchase) and update the RAM. Your machine likely a 2x1GB DIMMS installed, however if she doesn't 1x2GB DIMM installed everything you need is a 4 GB DIMMS. Once you upgrade the RAM, then you can upgrade to El Capitan, when you upgrade, I think you'll be an improvement in performance. Although technically El Capitan (and Yosemite) will run on 2 GB, the user experience should be quite poor.

    Good luck.

    Processor: Core 2 Duo, T5870 GHZ @2.00

    Installed RAM: 4 GB RAM

I want to know what version of Windows on the bottom would be more compatible with my laptop?

    1. Windows XP

    2. Windows Professional 32-bit

    3. Windows Professional 64-bit

    4. Windows Ultimate 32-bit edition

    4. Windows Ultimate 64-bit

    Can someone help me?

    Thank you

    Chrystelle

    Hello:

Any version of Windows 7 would be better for your PC.

If you have 4 GB or the physical memory installed, I would opt for the 32-bit version.

If you plan to add memory beyond 4 GB so that you would get the 64 bit version.

Note: a chip memory 4 GB DDR2 is more expensive than $100 USD today.

I love Windows 7 Pro myself.

I would not use additional features in W7 Ultmate.

HP has driver W7 in favor the 6730 s on the link below.

    http://h20566.www2.HP.com/portal/site/hpsc/public/PSI/swdHome/?lang=en&cc=us&sp4ts.Oid=3687786

I would not use XP because it is no longer supported by Microsoft security updates.

I am unable to start my Vista Home premium PC using my Intel core 2 duo processor. Initially, my PC came with an Intel P4 - 641, which I've upgraded to a processor E4700 Intel core 2 duo. I had no problem with the upgrade for four years until recently where it would not start.  I get the message to repair windows. I tried to repair and restore the windows are done everything to nothing. I even bought a new hard drive and a different processor - core 2 duo Intel E6600. Only when I re inserted the P4 would normally start from the PC to the top. I tried to install the firmware for vista reliability update: KB936357 to solve problems of stability with Intel core 2 duo processor. But the installer tells me that the update is not applicable, because I am running a P4. Please help as I really want to turn the core 2 duo on my system. I already installed the latest version of the bios available for my system.
