Top bar is too big in mode window half (Windows 8.1)

When I put firefox in one half of the screen, the top bar space twice as in maximized mode. How can I change this?

Normal-when the browser window is not expanded.

There are a number of UserStyles for the tabs in the title bar when the window is not maximized.

  • Im import clip is too big and too big in the window of the program in the community exported

Hi all, would appreciate any help you guys im going around the bend-im on a friends machine and try PP5 for the first time.

I have a clip im trying to export with two other clips in the same order. The clip is a .mov, 1920 x 1080 file.

When I click right on the other two clips (Mpegs, 320 x 240) and hit the framework scale, all goes very well for them in the export and they fit too perfectly in the window of the program. But for some reason any when I do with the clip above, there are many missing on the edges. I am even the creation of the project have 1920: 1080 (16:9) before you start.

Also, when I import the clip incriminated in the source window it automatically assigns 50% and it is perfectly viewable in 50% (if I change the window source to 100% I can't see the whole picture in the source window). But 50 per cent of the program window, it is still cutting huge quantities around the edges.

Can someone please help and suggest some remedy for this? It makes me crazy. See you soon

Windows 8 - when I click (or double click) a picture to open it, it opens too big for desktop screen. I tried different programs, and all are the same. I used the painting for a long time and it was fine.  It started all of a sudden. I have not changed other settings I know.

    Hi Sandra,.

Thanks for posting your request here in the Microsoft Community.

This could have caused because all settings or update related issues. I would like to know some information about this problem so that we can help you further.

    1. do you get any error code or error message while starting?

    2. have you checked if the same problem occurs on a different user account?

    3. this problem occurs only when opening the images?

I would suggest trying the following methods and check if it works for you.

    Method 1:

Try to install the latest drivers and updates to the Web site of the manufacturer of the computer or from Windows Update and check if it helps. This is to check if the problem is caused due to any update related question or not.

See the following Microsoft Help article to download and install the drivers.

  • Window is too big for the screen, do not set by f11 or alt/space

When enlarged, the view is too big to get the edges to move smaller. When I try to drag the top bar, it jumps to the small view rather than allowing me to reposition the window. The reduced view is only about 2 x 4 inches. Of course, I can make this larger point of view, but then I lose the choice of two sizes.

There is no problem with changing the size of the fonts, etc, just the size of the main view. The problem is that in Firefox, not other programs.

I tried the Firefox reset procedure, but that didn't help either.

Oh, wait. You cannot resize a window enlarged, so that it runs from edge to edge without the sizing handles is normal Windows. You need only the above procedure, if the window is so large that it blocks the taskbar or the monitor runs away.

  • MSDN Windows Vista DVD (disc 4455.01) - too big to make local copies?

    De : Steve F

Let me give a few quick information. (If you don't care that go to paragraph 3). I am the administrator of the program for the software system MSDN Academic Alliance here at my college. We have our system MSDNAA configured via E-Academy, so that students can sign it, sign up for a MS product, get an online product key and then go visit to get the installation media.

We have a method of distribution of DVD copy custom on our site: instead of students to download ISOs of the software they want (which may take more than 18 hours on our trendy slow campus), allow us them copies of MSDN distributed under the MSDNAA program disks. From a functional point of view, this is equivalent to letting students discover records and return them, but it allows them to have access to their installation disks for the long term (with an extraction program does not). It was working fine, until recently.

From the summer of records received 2008, titled "Windows Vista with Service Pack (x 64 and X 86) (English)" and numbered "Disc 4455.01", DVD discs indicate that 5.7 GB and are therefore too large to copy disc-to-other.»»» I usually just our students burn a copy to retrieve and install, but now Nero won't let them, saying that the disk does not fit on a standard 4.7 GB DVD media. This leads to several questions.

First of all, why the Windows Vista DVD is distributed via MSDN liked 4.7 GB? Is it a double disc layer or some other new technologies, and if so does that mean that it will cause problems in certain student DVD players? If it is a standard DVD, then why he reported to 5.7 GB when the standard tops out at 4.7 GB? Is there a way to copy it, or are we stuck with only one departure program?

I suppose another option would be to download and burn copies on MSDN, but the representative MSDNAA told me it would be identical to what we received in the mail. Does this mean that they too will be 5.7 GB, that is to say, too big to burn? (When searching in the MSDN Downloads, I see not a disc image that matches one in front of me, but rather separate downloads for x 64 and X 86. Maybe that's the answer.)

In any case, this is really two questions. The first is, why the Windows Vista DVD to 5.7 GB and that problem? The second is, I somehow a version of the Windows Vista DVD that students can actually use to copy so that we can continue our program of distribution of copy?

In an aside, technical support E-Academy sent me to support MSDNAA, which sent me to MS software Support, who told me MSDNAA had a support agreement for media support and they could charge me $250 or send me here. Then... I am here.

This is because, as with the movie DVD here now drives media 8.2 GB double layer (DL).  These are fully supported by Nero and you CAN copy them as long as you use the double disc layer and a writer of the double layer.

Yes, it's a disc double layer (not exactly new technology). Large capacity is needed to adapt the WIM image format now used for the distribution of the operating system.

No handset x 86 and x 86 media is available in some programs - it can be put at your disposal, as the media you provided are perfectly usable for installation of software etc.

Are you sure that you are allowed to make "copies" of the media for distribution, you have the option to purchase spare media and that's what you are supposed to provide students, if you are authorized to distribute copies of MSDNAA software to them. If I'm not mistaken the front of the drive has still the text - do not copies of this disc... "is it not?

  • I want the cursor to be in the address bar when you create a new window; It works for new tabs and a new private window, but not in safe mode.

I tried following the advice offered in the different threads bit I found on this but nothing works out. I want the cursor to be in the address bar when I open a new window or when firefox opens without restoring a previous session. I solved the problem for new tabs via subject: config, but it does not work for the new windows. I tried safe mode and the problem persists. In a new private window, the cursor is in the address bar.

A new window opens the homepage (default: subject: House) and not the new tab page (default: subject: newtab).

Some of the built-in pages set the focus to the search bar on the web page, just like the Google site only.

You can use a bookmark in the bookmarks toolbar that opens the subject: blank page.
If you hold down the SHIFT key when you click this bookmark, then you open a new widow with this page.
Otherwise, you need to set the home page to about: blank or on the point: about to have easy access to all the pages.

  • Open message window is too big

When I double-click on a message, it opens in a new window, which is what I want. The problem is too big for one of my two monitors. I can manually move the window with a tedious combination of keystrokes on the keyboard / mouse clicks, which would almost be OK. The real problem is that TB remembers the settings in this window, and every time I open a message in a new window, I have the same problem. I tried these for one for this issue, without success. I use a new computer with new software: 8.1 win and a fresh install of TB.

    Help, please!

    Thank you, Mark.

    Hi Rangerlone88,

Welcome to the Microsoft Answers site!

Do you get the display only problem with the games online, or also on the desktop?

What browser do you use to go online?

If you use Internet Explorer, you can check the level of zoom in the bottom right of the screen and set it to your liking.

You can also try to optimize Internet Explorer.

    1. Open Internet Explorer.
    2. Click Security, and then click delete browsing history.
    3. In delete the browsing history area, click Remove.

A progress bar is displayed to indicate that the browsing history is currently disabled. Once this process is complete, test Internet Explorer to verify that it works correctly.
