  • Lightroom 5.2 DSLR video edit - spotting

Video editing is not currently supported in the develop module.

Thanks to the video Adobe TV from Julieanne Kost 'Working with DSLR' module, I know there is a workaround solution.

I know I can use a pre-defined development module to apply a change to a captured video image.

Most, but not all develop module settings are available through this technique.

A parameter that is not is 'edit spot heal '.

I have a little dust that appears in each frame of the video in a background of blue water turned under water with my Nikon D7100 housed.

Is it possible to remove it with Lightroom?

Well, if you have a recent version of PS there certainly a lot of opportunities to work with video. On the fabulous site of Ms. Kost, you will find a lot of information on the use of video in PS.

I know it's a LR forum but then I give a quick tip? Open your clip in PS and your workspace "Motion". Select the video layer and choose layer - Smart Objects - Convert to smart object.

Now you can use the filter - filter Camera Raw. This gives you approximately the same opportunities that the adjustments in Lightroom, including removal of the place. Since you've shot your video layer into a smart object, the adjustment will apply to each image.

  • Need help, application of "minor" DSLR video stabilization.

Hi gang. I'm all new to AE. My head exploded already, of course.

I'm working on a movie/comedy short very short that has a lot of short clips, shot with a Canon 60 d in 1080 p/24. Pocket computer.

My desired look is in my shorts, but a few clips are just two pretty jumpy. However, to stabilize in After Effects by a particular element of follow-up on the screen, I get an image that should be highly cropped and also a little just downright WEIRD because he has too much stabilization.

I have a PC running Adobe CS5. No 5.5. Have more money to upgrade at this time.

Here's a clip that needs to be stabilized a bit. Not a lot. Just enough to make him less nervous.

Yes, the clip rearends is two girls, but there is a reason for this and everyone who has watched the first cut laughed, so I know it will work. Just a few sequences need more stable.

The question is: by what method, I can add a bit of stability? I'm not so far. This clip has so much movement on the X and y-axis that AE goes hog wild and does resemble a shot CGI script. To be clear, the clip here is the original (compressed by YuoTube) and not the AE'd version, I never save because it looks just so bad.

    Thank you, gang.

If you just need it for a few shots right now, you can try the free After Effects CS5.5 30 day trial version and use the stabilizer to deform.

  • Discuss a new forum for Agency CS5

    In another thread, I posted:

    @ Moderators

I think that CS5 is a whole NEW GAME... so...

Is it too early to start a CS5 Forum that is ready to run from the "start" of liberation?

Many will be seeking and offering info etc and separating... .will allow other forums of PremPro run without confusing everyone.

for example the current forum has a thread of 1.5 thru' for users of CS4.

Moderators responded that they preferred the forums as flat as possible, but consider this... (Cool)

I think we should discuss it fully in order to present the advantages and the disadvantages can be entirely.

    I'll start:

As I said earlier - CS5 is a whole new game, because it's hardware and software. (64-bit computer and application). This is a major update requiring $$ $pend for anyone contemplating this. Not everyone will invest initially.  Those that do are likely to be professional throughout.

For me, it's a bonus. Because: we all have seen how the first post members are currently posting in the current forum using 1.5-CS4.   "Beginners" respectfully... .and it doesn't seem to be as much pros poster because it used to be.  It's OK, but I think that this version must seriously fight the PRO MARKET.

Selfishly... I want to talk to more professionals than beginners once I do my investment $ in my NLE in the coming months.  I don't want to browse the same old issues, problems, questions, so do I.

Discussions for CS5 will be multi fold and more complex than ever:

That is, new material, new technologies "MPE", new application, new computer (64-bit)... .more drivers, plug-ins, in charge of applications (for example, QT, Cineform) and third-party devices. Add to that new camera (DSLR video) and discharges of codec.  Its endless.

I think that its going to be 'awkward' quickly and separates the CS5 forum makes sense.

I see that Craig has received you points for your point of view, who shares with her. Maybe I need to rethink my position on this issue and my opposition to burst the CS5 forum.

    Craig,

You're funny, charming, so very smart, your wife is beautiful and your dog is the best behaved I've ever seen. I agree with everything you say and can't imagine how I could have fed opposing thoughts.

    Crawl for points!

PS - you guys aren't good points and I understand easily if the Ministry of defence took your point of view. I'll still play, without worrying.

  • Any way to increase already turned to 1/2000 second in 25 p video motion blur?

I want to turn some DSLR videos in sunny at f1.8 to achieve very low depth of field.

Even at the slower ISO 100 setting it will require a shutter speed of 1/2000 second that will produce a very unstable motion in the region.

Is it possible in FCP X (or elsewhere) that I can introduce blur just for movements in the video without affecting the static parts? (Probably NOT)!

PS I KNOW THAT I CAN USE MY FORT NEUTRAL DENSITY FILTER WHEN SHOOTING BUT WANT TO AVOID IF POSSIBLE.

That's what NDs, exactly. Use the low tech solution. This is the best.

Doing this in post production is a costly and risky operation: you must purchase the software, you must learn how to use it, you can be terribly disappointed with the results.

Or, of course, it may be that you like to watch and learn to rely on your new tools for many more great experimentation as your work on other projects.

I did not follow with pixel-level processors that will create razor sharp images blur. I hope that someone will be back shortly with a suggestion about an effect which can simulate a motion blur.

It is possible to create a model in motion which may be moved to FCPX but it depends actually move when the shutter is opened things, it does not trail behind the pixels.

  • Satellite A660: how to record videos with USB webcam?

I recently bought a Satellite A660, which has a built-in webcam. Using the Toshiba provided video application I can record videos, but I find the clarity and brightness of the rather poor image, even in good lighting.

I have a USB webcam that I plugged in and tested for example in Skype, and he produces images much better under the same conditions. My question is: How can I know Toshiba video application to use instead of the built-in USB webcam? I can't find any settings where I can choose which camera to use.

If this is not possible, do I need to install other video recording software? Windows 7 does not have all the applications where you can simply record a video from a webcam (I thought Windows Move Maker to do that, but apparently not).

I just want to be able to record videos of my USB webcam - any suggestions on the best way to proceed would be welcome.

    Thank you

    Howard

Put I don't think something like this is possible. Pre-installed Camera Assistant Software is obviously designed to work with the built in cam only.
What you need is a third party software that you can use for this application.

Google around a bit and visit a few video forums where you can pick up some info on it.

I have a Vista Home Premium 64-bit, Service Pack 2 Dell.  He read/won't recognise no videos HD taken with my Canon camcorder HDD21/AVCHD (MTS format).  Each attempt generates a message stating "Windows Media Player may not support the file type or the codec that the file compressed.  I used a Windows 7 PC, which allowed me to play the video from the camcorder and burn a DVD of the video to share with the family.  I'd appreciate any help.  Thank you

  • First DSLR to shoot

    Hey everybody,

I am looking for a DSLR for filming purposes. I recently looked at reviews and video footages to see what is best for me. Obviously a 5 d mark II or III would be the best choice but unfrtunately I can't afford it.

I also checked the 60 d that seems incredible because of the LCD that is adjustable, but it has a lower image quality, the 6 d which also has a full frame like the 5 d sensor. But the 60 d is cheaper.

    What one do you?

I used the 5 d Mark II, 5 d Mark III and T3i for professional productions. I have not used the 60 d or 7 d.  But, to start, you can not go wrong with the T3i, T5i. The video is more than acceptable, and most of the viewers can't really tell the difference between the 5 d Mark II and the T5i, not to mention the 60 d. Now, the 5 D Mark III is in another category altogether! The 5 d Mark III is by far the best for DSLR video, but it's a bit expensive for your first camera.

I would acquire the T5i (don't remember the number of non-US model) and a few glasses of good. You can make the difference between the T5i, 60 d and 7 d on some good non-goals that you can use as you upgrade the instances in the future. Spend your money on lenses first, then bodies.  Your lenses will serve you much longer than your body!

Once you know that a DSLR meet your shooting requirements (they are second cameras first fixed-frame cameras and video), you can sell your T5i or use it as a backup/second camera when you buy a 5 d Mark III or another Canon DSLR. Keep in mind that there are significant limitations with all DSLRs when it comes to the video and make sure you can live with these limitations.

The main advantage for the T5i video is the folding LCD. You will be shooting from different angles (up or down), and you can set the screen to compose your shot. Otherwise, you will need to an external monitor, platform or other gear relatively expensive to properly compose your shots.

A previous poster mentioned Panasonic GH3 and is a great camera for video, but the range of products is not as broad or deep as Canon. I think that your decision to say with the range of Canon products is good. Good luck in your shot!

More like is that your video camera has a file format that is taken \not supported by Windows Movie maker.

(Sometimes called also the file extensions) file format is represented by the LAST 3 letters of the video file.

Windows only supports the following video formats:

    ".asf", ".avi", ".dvr-ms", ".m1v", ".mp2", ".mp2v", ".mpe", ".mpeg", ".mpg", ".mpv2", '.wm' and '.wmv '.

If the format of video from your camera is not on the list above, you will need to google for a free video converter.
Use the converter and change the WMV format.
I take WMV because it it the more 'fool - prove' format for Windows.

Once you have converted to WMV, import the video back to Windows Movie maker and publish it.
    You shouldn't have a problem.

  • Problems with video formats FLV and F4V of Adobe Media Encoder 2004 depreciate

    Hello Adobe

There are a few problems that have arisen with the removal of the FLV support since 2004 of the SOUL. Please can you provide answers to the following:

How do we set / create Flash that Points in video, now that the FLV format has been removed in 2004 of the SOUL? -C' is something I use a lot for adding video dynamic text in Flash projects.

How do we export with Alpha video, FLV format, which can then be used in Flash? -C' is generally used to overlay the anchor at the camera (on green background) on flash animations or interactions etc.

More information on this issue on the following video forums:

Re: How to use Flash as markers without the ability to export to the FLV or F4V format in first Pro CC 2014?

Re: FLV export missing... need an alpha in the video for Flash channel

Use an earlier version of soul.  CC and cs6 are still available with your subscription to the cc.
