• Cannot find files on clone super duper, I can restore from Time Machine backup?

  First of all, my apologies for cross posting.

  I hope I can explain my situation with enough clarity so that someone can help out me. I feel a little bit of panic.

  I've had a Mac mini that I sold so need to wipe. I first backed up using Time Machine on an external hard drive. Then, I used Super Duper to clone on a second hard drive. I didn't need a bootable copy of the training, but need access to data, applications, etc. on it from time to time. My intension was to access the data I cloned and stored on the hard drive of my current Macbook Pro. Well, that day came and I went to access my cloned copy of the mini and only see a list of users. I'm not able to find files, documents, and etc.even if I use spotlight to search for. So my questions are:

  1. Can I view the contents of the double machine differently to see more than a list of users? (that is WHERE IS MY THING?)
     1. I have error somehow in my approach?
     2. If I made the mistake with the super duper close, can I restore my time machine to the top of an external drive on another external drive? I want to restore my MacBook hard drive.

  If this "new" iMac is brand new, it cannot run an operating system that is older than what he delivered with. There is no way to make the Mavericks to run on this computer.

  You can follow these steps and check if it helps.

  (a) click the start menu > run.

  (b) type "Dupfinder" in the Run dialog box, and then click 'OK '. This will run the XP Service Pack 2 "Dupfinder.exe' file in a new window.

  (c) click on your main hard drive usually listed as the 'C' drive, for an analysis of the entire system of duplicate files. You can also click on a specific folder to smaller search, specific folder for duplicate items.

  (d) click on 'Start research,' start an automatic search for items duplicate in the drive or folder selected.

  (e) scroll the list of duplicate files and folders detected by the Dupfinder application. Click to select the duplicate files and folders to delete. You can select multiple items by pressing the 'Ctrl '.

  (f) press the "Delete" key to remove all files and folders selected duplicates.

• Thousands of dupe file... winsxs or program file Win 7

  Running Win 7 64 bit.  I have thousands of files of dupe.  Dupe files always seem to have the same WinSxS.

  What shd I delete winsxs files or program files that are appearing as dupe files....

  Please hurry...  I've been chking out the winsxs to delete rather than Program Files.

  Since you seem to be in a hurry, I will be brief, with my answer...

  Do not delete the Winsxs folder or its contents. The files are required for certain applications from running and you could cause damage to your system by deleting it or its contents.

  I use Siebel 8.1.1.3 and the Oracle Disqualification Connector for Siebel (Disqualification Version 11).

  When you create a duplicate in the entity record 'account' in Siebel, I get an error message:

  'Dup Object Id' is a required field. Please enter a value for the field. (SBL-DAT-00498)

  Seems as if something is missing in my setup - but where...? !

  There are two appropriate places.

  (1) the field in Siebel mappings, where the 'Id' of the BC account field must be mapped to the id of the entity required by the matchmaking service of entity Disqualification ("entityid' in the latest versions) - see section 7.2 of the integration of the Disqualification Siebel guide: Oracle & reg; Enterprise data quality

  2) file properties of Siebel Disqualification connector needs a specific reference to the id field so that it can correlate the responses. It is the part of the section "ideelement" account Match the dnd.properties file that configures the connector. By default it is mapped to compte.ID, so if you do use BCS in Siebel it didn't need to be changed, and it is more likely that (1) field mapping is missing or incorrect.

  (2) delete the offending file from Lightroom (delete only, no deletion of disk at this stage).

  (3) import of photos (copy copy as DNG) a saved file (s) to ensure that "any suspected dups is checked. It is a good time to decide whether to let Lightroom rename one to you or select a folder to copy imported photos and

  (4) check the catalog seems correct and photos are stored as you wish; and finally

  (5) delete the offending file / renamed if everything looks good.

  You can also do a full backup (separately or local) to use as a recovery point. Again, it is just to have a point in time, you can come back. It may not be correct, but at least you wouldn't be no worse off if something goes wrong. Yet once, my own paranoia, having lost many nights of sleep, problems caused by changes in the system "simple"...

  Hey Lukasz, there.

  If I understand your question...

  OME 1.3 supports 32-bit DUPS only.  Of course the 32 bit DUPS may wear drivers 64-bit... so make sure that you realize that OME can still support 64-bit drivers, it's just that container/transport (DUP) is 32-bit.

  I have a website that I built in cs4 and wanted to reproduce the site, change index.htm title, description and meta tags, save it as a separate site and to sepatate IP address. I duplicated the grace site to manage websites, renamed the site duplicated, made sure the new appropriate site was opened and made the changes directly in the code. It has changed and saved correctly in the new duplicate site. I've changed the info to download different IP for the new site of dup and it worked fantastic. I came back to my original site in Dreamweaver to see that make the changes on the duplicate also site index page changed the title, description and meta on my original site tags.

  It seems to me that I can have duplicated the site in the wrong way, because they are connected somehow. Y at - there a way for me to interrupt or "correct" way for me to go to the site of origin of duplication without the link?

• How 2 copy proj for proj dup hhc

  I have successfully created a double project, but not the dup hhc. Tried to copy the source to the dup project hhc and renaming. It seemed to work. However, the next day, after the reopening of the dup project and get the files the newest, the desired hhc became a 1 KB file. 47KO orig. file had been, I suppose, crushed. I might note that between the project of closing and reopening the next day, I had updated HR with version 8.02.

  Since then, I tried to repeat the steps that led to my first success with the copied hhc. So far, I've failed. HR does not recognize any hhc. On the contrary, it seems to create its own version of dup to 1 KB.  This version is indicated in the project file to C: drive immediately under the file I imported (calibrated to 47KO). Remove the 1 KB version does not seem to make a difference.
