  I currently have problems with my computer's CD drive.  He has been unable to read discs of any kind of music, DVDS and software programs for several months now.  The main problem seems to be with an inability to properly install the driver for the cd drive.

  When running "find and solve the problems" of section "Troubleshooting" in the Control Panel, I get an error message that says that there is a problem with the driver for the cd drive.  Whenever I try to install the driver, he is not able to do so and contact the manufacturer of your computer.  I also tried to download all the updates and I get essentially the same message.

  I need help, recover my computer to original factory State.  Wiped my hard drive and I have no recovery disk.  Anyone know where to download it or order of?  It is not more downloadable from HP.

  They are not cheap, but I doubt you'd be able to find a full version of W7 Home Premium for just less than twice the price.

• Screen & player stalls voids on Pavilion dv4-2045dx

  Having formerly operating Pavilion dv4-2045dx a friend.  When turned on, no screen activity is displayed.  Hard diving turns upward, but not for very long, so it doesn't seem as if Windows is actually behind the empty screen loading.  I tried to connect a monitor to the display port, but nothing appears on the external monitor or integrated display.  The command has been removed and the data seems to be intact.

  I guess the screen is dead and with it the computer.  Any suggestions before I tell him, is it time for a new laptop?

  Physically, you need to open the case and look at the type of processor before ordering a new. I'm not sure of the dv4 on top of my head, but some use laptops that are welded on the processors and you should replace the whole Board.   After I pulled out the existing RAM chips, I tried to put the new RAM 8 GB chips in 2 slots, but it does not fit the slot. The detail is that the size of the entire chip is shaped, but the notch on the long side of the upper part does not fit the clip into the machine.

  I tried to move clip to match the notch in the RAM chip, but the clip cannot be moved. I guess that there is a mechanism to adjust the clip to match the notch in the RAM chip, but I don't know how to do it.

  You will be able to find batteries with a very broad range of capabilities mAH. I bought a Chinese battery for Toshiba laptop of my daughter from a seller online four years ago. It still works perfectly. I'd rather pay 25.00 - 40, $00 for a compatible battery which will last three years to $100.00 for a battery that will last so long.

  I have a HP Pavilion dv4-2045dx that contains:

  AMD Turion II Dual-Core Mobile M500 (2200 MHz)

  4 GB of DDR2 SDRAM (2 Dimm) memory

  ATI/AMD Radeon HD 4200 graphics card

  OS: Windows 7

  As I said in my header object, my laptop is unable to start. He blinks at the HP screen and then takes me to a black screen telling me that there is no boot device. OLEDS (caps and Num lock) Flash 4 times throughout the process. When I try to restore my system with my recovery disks, it loads up for Win7 but fails to reinstall/recover by ending the restore process and gives the error message:

  You tried the good things so far.  Errors are pointing to hard drive failure.  You can try to remove/reset or replace the hard drive.  If a known good hard drive is still not detected, then you can have more serious problems.

  Today I received my new Toshiba HDD (product HDDR320E04EL symbol) and when I opened it for the first time I was prompted to choose the type of file format and I chose the more compatible option which is fat, but shortly after I had to change it to NTFS and I just formatted the drive.
  Any software that is preinstalled NTI BackupNow EZ, More4You and McAffe trial application have been deleted, and I wonder how I could restore the driver settings with all the software that he initially understood.

  My question: If the software has been uninstalled, and leftover files deleted from the register, what are the files 35 000 + and why are they still in my computer?

  I am tempted to select all and delete, but do not know what happen to my computer if I did.

  Any ideas/suggestions?

  Hello boongsong, I have Roxio Creator 2011 Pro and shows 2 757 files, 285 folders. It is only in the Program Files folder and not all registry settings.
