DV6-1352dx - upgrade to 8192 MB

Hello, I own a HP Pavilion dv6-1352dx Entertainment Notebook.  I was told it was upgradeableto 8 GB memory when I bought it.

It is also what reads the support page.  However, I received yesterday the 8 GB memory I ordered new eggs, CORSAIR 8 GB (2 x 4 GB) 204-pin DDR3 SO-DIMM DDR3 1333 computer laptop memory model CMSO8GX3M2A1333C9 and I can not get the laptop start with memory in.

I have been authorized to return to the new egg, but I was wondering if it means my motherboard will not except 8 GB as I said and lead to believe at the time of purchase.  And Yes, it's been a while, but is not really to the point.

No one knows what else I could could look in.   Also, I have confirmed that the RAM works a few minutes previously, by using it in another laptop at work.  Thank you.

You are the very welcome.

OK, so at least we know that you have good memory.

The service manual plug must be wrong. The info on the product are sometimes mistaken.

I'd give the G.Skill to try.

I have always been 100% successful with G.Skill memory and you can see from the comments, a bunch of other people have too.

I see no reason why your laptop can not handle 8 GB of memory.  The Intel 4 series chipset supports it.

Hello. My hp pavilion dv6-1352dx crossed a State gradually after that I received a warning to consider replacing the battery. Using Windows 7, 32-bit. Now seeing AC is turned on when it's plugged in but the battery charging light keeps blinking and turns off after a while. Tried holding down the power button / stop and from ac only who worked initially but turns off after a few seconds and now does not work yet. Looking for solution for 8 months now. Hard drive works with other PCs and have reset the memory. Thank you.

I suspect the module plug AC, which is removable and replaceable and not very expensive. It could be a bad mother, however.

    Hello

I think 16 GB is the max. The maintenance and care guide says 16 GB for Intel based laptops. You have a Core i7 45W processor so the 16 GB should work on it.

  • HP dv6 Notebook PC ENVY: envy of 7300 dv6 screen upgrade

Hello! I think to upgrade my HP ENVY dv6 Notebook PC (serial number: product [personal information deleted]: C2Y41AV) screen, hd version with a full hd variation and also a new backlid keyboard, the mine's regular keyboard. I don't want demolishing the pc to know that I ordered the parts and they are not compatible. I tried to get into the user part, but I get an error:

"Oops! . The Web page you requested on http://partsurfer.hp.com server may have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable. Alternatively, you have typed the address incorrectly. »

And cannot find the parts I wanto to replace, in the way I'm supposed to. I was able to do last week, but don't think that the page would come down so, I did not write the numbers down. I know that you are looking for parts was successful and I am in the list the regular parties as well as those that I want to upgrade the laptop with.  The problem is:

    (a) cannot determine the witch parts to order more.

    (b) in the page is not displayed if I buy other additional documents to those that I needed. IE: cables, etc.

    (c) where I can send the parts and where I can order and how to pay for them.

    (d) if there is a technician or a certified staff, I can contact for comprehensive services.

You see, the problem is I bought this laptop a long time ago, and already it got replaced due speaker and fan, so the warranty problems made me a new (this product). But I noticed 3 small details on the screen and not complained of the fact that I've already lost 3 months of work in addition to 1 job offer and did couldn t afford to keep so just used the laptop as if it were on vacacions unpayed.

Now, I thought to upgrade rather than buy the same hand he already has.

    TLDR

Need to know if my WANT of HP dv6 Notebook PC (serial number: 2CE3090ZS3 product: C2Y41AV) can be improved with the full keyboard apart and backlit ranging from hd without the need of other parts.

(can't post the parts I want to replace it because the part user gives an error {already posted})

Thank you very much for the help in advance and you wish the guys the happiest day of your life!

  • HP Pavilion DV6-6169se: the HP Pavilion DV6-6169se upgrade

    Hello

I have HP Pavilion DV6-6169se, and I'm looking to update.

Can I know what is the available upgrade options?

    Thank you.

    Hello

    Since the following specifications:

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c02866520

    My suggestions (using this order):

    1. RAM: you can go to 8 GB, this will improve a bit.  Please use the following site to scan your machine. It will tell you exactly what you need and where to buy, or you can also use the information to buy elsewhere:

    http://www.crucial.com/USA/en/systemscanner

2 replace the HDD with a SSD: you can see many improvements during startup, downtime, open applications and save files. If you run applications that require a lot of Scriptures, SDD is much faster than the HARD disk.

3 CPU: upgrade CPU on laptops is a delicate issue. Please check the list before I go buy. The first manual on the following list a unelistede CPU is supported:

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/manualCategory?cc=us & LC = in & Product = 5116493

    Good luck.

  • HP Pavilion dv6-3310ej: Upgrade CPU

    Hi HP.

I want to improve my processor.

Current specification: Laptop model: HP Pavilion dv6-3310ej CPU: type of processor - Intel Core i5 CPU M 480 @ 2.67GHz BIOS version: F.29 OS: Windows 7 professional 64 bit manufacturer: Hewlett-Packard

With the processor on which I can replace my current processor?

    Here is the Service Manual:

    Manual

There are several faster processors (i7) listed, but you can't use them because of the motherboard. There is a different motherboard for dual processors and quad core and you already have the fastest dual core that is compatible, so you're at the top of the curve without upgrade potential.

  • DV6-6c40us upgrade processor?

I have a HP DV6-6c40us and would like to upgrade my current processor at a best. I'm curious if this is even possible. I consulted the manual and it seems that the processor can be improved.

    Course record:

    Win 7 ultimate

    6 GB OF RAM

    AMD A8 3520 M

The price of SSDS is down and continues to fall, but if you need a size of 500 gig it will cost at least 50 cents per concert.  Perhaps consider a hybrid drive. You can get a concert 500 for $75, or about a third of what an SSD would cost:

    http://www.Newegg.com/product/product.aspx?item=N82E16822178339

No A10 processor is supported. A8-3550MX is the fastest listed in the guide, which probably need you:

    Manual

Sometimes the processors are not not in the manual work, but it's a little a long shot. Updates are not officially supported, and if you ask to HP directly should not do.

Indeed, I am of the India.

First of all, I would recommend what I felt the better for OUR laptops. Mine is a DV6 6121tx with the config following-Core i7 2630QM at 2.00 GHz with TB up to 2.90 GHz

    12 GB DDR3 RAM

256 GB SSD + 640 GB HDD (will tell you more info on my dual setup of HARD drive later.

    HD6770M 2 GB with DDR5 Mem

So everything I post here, you can directly go and fix it.

For my double HARD - SSD drive setup, here go it.

    1 video - http://https :// www.youtube.com/watch?v=KmUkk2gdoC8

    2.Caddy -http://www.ebay.in/itm/Universal-12mm-Laptop-Optical-Bay-Hard-Disk-SATA-to-SATA-12-7mm-HDD-Caddy-/321405307668?pt=IN_Laptop_Desktop_Accessories&hash=item4ad53fcb14&_uhb=1

    3.cable -http://www.ebay.in/itm/USB-to-Slimline-SATA-7-6-MicroSATA-converter-cable-/221439545145?pt=IN_Computer_Components&hash=item338ed34f39&_uhb=1

4.SSD - GB to 256 GB Samsung 840 EVO (best value) or 840 Pro (expensive, but with the best possible performance). Buy SSD that from PrimeABGB - the best online store for SSDS.

Just a few errors that I don't want to make you-

1 put the SSD in Caddy and cable of optical drive on a HARD disk. Reason: your SSD will be connected to the Sata 6.0GBps port. You may think that you can directly put a SSD instead of HARD drive and put the HARD drive in the caddy, but HARD DRIVE could vibrate in caddy culminating in his death.

2 carefully remove the ODD mounting plate and put it on the caddy. You get an extra façade with caddy. With cable, you can still use your DVD burner drive as external.

For your RAM, anyone with a 1333 MHz will be. CASE latency for most of the brands are the same. Do not go for a 1600 MHz, as it will be a waste of money.

I should also the total list of expenses involved in this upgrade-

    1 SSD EVO - Rs.11, 000

    2 SSD Caddy-Rs 750

    3.cable - Rs.650

    4.4 GB OF RAM-~ 2600

    Total - Rs.15000.

Believe me, you will fall in love with your laptop again.

Just a word of warning-reading on google how to make the best of the SSD. Its much different from your HARD drive and a lot of need to follow different practices. Also, I recommend for a 128 GB, as I personally have 185 GB free on SSD after winning 8 + all apps + 3 heavy games installed. So you can save any amount it.

    Good shopping

  • HP dv6 Pavilion dv6-6c80el: upgrade of RAM Maximum on dv6-6c80el

    Hello.

I need to upgrade the dv6-6c80el at its maximum capacity of Ram.

My system has now 8 GB memory ddr3 at 1333 mhz (Crucial by Hp original: 2 x 4).

The page of the product on this site indicates the max memory 8 gb, but on ubuntu linux, analising DMI terminal indicates 16 GB memory of the maximum amount of od, so I would like to know if can install two modules of 8bg each 16 GB of total memory.

    dmidecode # 2.12
    2.7 present SMBIOS.

    Handle 0 x 0011, type of DMI 16, 23 bytes
    Physical memory
    Geographical area: motherboard or motherboard
    Use: System memory
    Type of Error Correction: no
    Maximum capacity: 16 GB
    Handle information error: no error
    Number of aircraft: 2

According to tit maintenance & Service guide for your laptop model series , 16 GB is supported.

That said. 16 GB will work, but it's up to you to find compatible memory modules.

Use the Internet sites of memory of major manufacturers and their configuration tools to find the memory that will be guaranteed to be compatible with your laptop.

    Kingston memory

    Crucial memory

    Corsair Memory

    The elixir memory

  • HP Pavilion Dv6 Memory Upgrade

Hey, I recently bought a HP Pavilion Dv6-6c14nr, and I'm looking to upgrade to 4 GB memory to 8 or 12 GB. I run a large number of programs such as Maya and UDK 3D so I would get an extra kick. I was told that it would be wise to get the same manufacturer as the memory chip that is inside the laptop now for best results. Is this true? Go to the basics, which module of memory should I go with, and is there a way to know what brand the stock memory is without removing the laptop support?

Hi, it is recommended to use the same but not necessary memory sticks. I had a better memory reference with two different modules (2 GB + 4 GB) that the same sticks (4 GB + 4 GB). Crucial memory Advisor says that you need the sodimm PC3-10600 or PC3-12800 ddr3 modules. I recommend the modules 3-PC-12800 Corsair, Crucial or Kingston. HP uses Samsung memory modules in laptops, so you can get these institutions. Simple 8 GB modules are quite expensive, so it's in your pocket which modules to choose from...  :-)

In fact, I want to spend my hard drive laptop, but before that I would like to know if my laptop support SATA III or not?
I want to install this model: Western Digital Black 2 Mobile 2.5 inch dual drives - 1 TB HDD + 120 GB SSD
It's the hybrid hard drive and work with SATA III (6 Gb/s).

My laptop model: HP Pavilion DV6 1225ee

Can you please help me in this case?

    Thank you

Your laptop uses an Intel ICH9 Southbridge chip, which is capable of operation SATAII (300MB\s).

You can still use SATA600 HDDs, but they will be compatible down and don't use the SATA specification of your laptop sata controllers motherboard are capable.

Hybrid disk hard mobile compatibility with your laptop is unknown. Most people upgrade laptops equipped with SSD and existing hard drives.  You can avoid the uncertainty factor by installing a legacy hard drive or an SSD.

  • Pavilion DV6 2155dx: upgrade HARD drive to SSD

I want to upgrade my laptop Hp HDD to the SSD. Very successful on the 2 HP desktops. But not a great success on the laptop. Windows does not start with the installed SSD. Black screen with how to text of amendments, but no solution. Checking the BIOS it seems too basic and has no provision to select the correct setting. How can I upgrade the laptop to recognise and start of the SSD, as desktop computers.

Problem solved. Maybe this helps someone else.

For reference, the SSD HARD drive migration has been completed with Samsung software tools.

Although a similar migration was very successful on 2 offices of HP prior as the PC starts fine, this time the laptop set to level did not boot from SSD.

Based on the reviews elsewhere on the web, with the portable operating from the original HARD disk, I adjusted the BIOS boot sequence to boot from the internal CD-ROM. I was then already migrated SSD HARD drive. Then I started from a prior agreement prepared the repair Windows 7 Bootable disc - now I know why they are so very precious! - and started to repair startup disk said. After a few additional steps miners, he says the problem fixed and carried out traditional, clean startups.

Also, I can confirm that the Pavilion DV6 works very well with a 250 GB SSD. Most good, this is a speedster. There is therefore no limitations to 160 GB the HP Document seems to suggest.
