DV6-6c40us upgrade processor?
I have a HP DV6-6c40us and would like to upgrade my current processor at a best. I'm curious if this is even possible. I consulted the manual and it seems that the processor can be improved.
Course record:
Win 7 ultimate
6 GB OF RAM
AMD A8 3520 M
The price of SSDS is down and continues to fall, but if you need a size of 500 gig it will cost at least 50 cents per concert. Perhaps consider a hybrid drive. You can get a concert 500 for $75, or about a third of what an SSD would cost:
http://www.Newegg.com/product/product.aspx?item=N82E16822178339
No A10 processor is supported. A8-3550MX is the fastest listed in the guide, which probably need you:
Sometimes the processors are not not in the manual work, but it's a little a long shot. Updates are not officially supported, and if you ask to HP directly should not do.

No high cost!
We meet again. The manual I linked in the other post on the MSSD has a list of processors.
T9900, T9800, T9600 all possibilities and would be a lot better than a T4200. The T9900 is still quite expensive since it is the top, Core 2 Duo. The T9600 is always a very good processor much more available than T9900s and less expensive.
The guide will show how to install easy to emphasise.

HP pavilion dv6 6150em: upgrade of processor on HP Pavilion dv6 (6150em)
Hello
My wife who is emotionally connected to this laptop needs an upgrade, and even so it is easy and very likely cheaper to buy the new laptop, we should improve as much it can.
So it has already 8 GB of memory so that part is ok. I'm looking for the Bay for SSD drive as a replacement for the DVD player and last thing upgrade processor (current: i3 - 2310M).
I've looked everywhere to try to know what other processors that support the model, but I wasn't that successful
Basically, my question is what processors that support for portable computers and what is top of page processor that I can put in this model of laptop.
Thanks in advance!
You will certainly need the maintenance manual:
Your motherboard only supports dual core, not the Quad core processors and it is the fastest dual core compaptible:
(Turbo SC up to 3.40 GHz) processor, Intel Core i7 - 2620 M 2.70 GHz (4, 0 - MB L3 cache, dual core, 35 W)
Not too cheap:
BTW, do not put an SSD in an optical drive to the hard drive adapter. The interface is slower and the reader will not be bootable. Put the SSD in the hard drive Bay and if you need more storage, then just put a standard mechanical drive into the optical drive adapter. This might work:

Hello
First, download the AMD graphics software on this link like this package should contain the Chipset driver.

DV6-6c40us - Beats Audio works not properly.
DV6-6c40us
Windows 7 Home Premium
IDT driver version 6.10.6381.0I am thinking particularly of Bass, Treble, Centre space, focus. When I got the laptop, the time settings worked. The equalizer settings still work. However, Bass, Treble, Centre, space, Focus no longer work. In my view, that they have stopped working when I updated to 6.10.6381.0.
What is curious about this, is that when I click on the checkbox for Beats Audio, improvements disappear and the audio returns standards non-Beats. I can also turn them on / off power with Fn + B as well, and the difference in sound is obvious. Unfortunately, I can't control the quality/audio Beats. Moving the sliders makes no difference at all.
I came back to the old drivers, and now they do not solve the problem. I don't understand this. I went several times back, uninstaling drivers to reinstall the other--new or old. At one point, they worked, and now they do not. Help?
Try the following steps.
1. open Device Manager.
2. locate your audio driver.
3. right click and uninstall the driver.
4. go to the toolbar in the Device Manager and select "Search for hardware changes."
5 once completed, restart the laptop.
Try the audio now and let me know if she continues to have the same problem.

You want to upgrade processor for my gateway computer.
Information title: Original CPU required
My gateway has the 4006153R (Love Valley G) of Intel G965 Viiv Motherboard. The Core 2 Duo E6300 processor has an identifier (SL9S5) on the processor. I have the motherboard and processor supported of the gateway information for upgrades of the processor. If I chose a compatible with the motherboard upgrade processor, the processor must have the same SL * as the current processor if the BSF MHz and required socket are identical? My processor is not incorporated and uses the LGA775 socket. Answers to the specific question are greatly appreciated!
SL numbers are unique for each processor:

Upgrading processors N100 0689-29U
I've seen several posts on upgrades of the processor for the N100 and I wondered if they work for all types of N100 laptops.
Mine is a type of N100 0689-29U that currently has an Intel Centrino Duo T2300 (1.66 GHz). I would like to move to something of 2 GHz or more if possible. I am running 2 GB of RAM, which was the max Lenovo said that will support the machine.
The reason for my upgrade is an attempt to accelerate a fire modeling program that I am running. Is it a upgrade processor speed up my computing power or would I waste my money?
Thank you.
You have the format socket M, which are compatible with the following types of CPU.
Intel Core Solo
Intel Core Duo
Intel Core 2 Duo (T5x00, T7x00)
Intel Celeron MHowever, there is a limited support for the version chip Socket M Core 2 Duo T7x00, a bios flash may be needed to do their jobs, but most of these Core 2 Duo chips are quite expensive.
CPU represents that part of the bottleneck of performance in a laptop, there is also the factor of GPU, ram, optimization of the software and hard disk file fragmentation.
If you're going to get a CPU, you should consider the T7x00 series, however, they run a tad warmer that CPU you have now.
But rather than make an upgrade with your laptop, I probably just save money and get a half decent job for modeling programs.

I have a XPS 410. The model of my motherboard number is 0WG855, and there a megaherts 1066 MHz Bus Clock. I currently have a 1.87 GB processor Intel Core 2 Duo (an Intel E6300). I'm trying to find a list of possible upgrades processor that will work with my current motherboard. Or, in the alternative, I am limited to a Core 2 Duo processor, or another processor Core 2 (as a Core 2 Quad) will also work.

Upgrade processor for HP Pavilion dv6-4023TX.
Hey there, I am looking to upgrade my i7 bottom range CPU so that my laptop's performance may be noticeably improved, for things such as video, audio and image design. I have an HP Pavilion dv6-4023TX Notebook PC, running Windows 8 professional 64-bit OS. This is my current CPU:
Intel Core I7-2630QM 2.00-GHz (turbo up to 2.90-GHz) processor, 6-MB L2 cache, 1600 MHz,45 W
And I want to update to:
Intel Core i7-2820QM 2.30-GHz (turbo up to 3.40-GHz) processor, 8-MB L2 cache, 1600 MHz,45 W
I found these details in the
HP Pavilion dv6 Entertainment PC - Maintenance and Service Guide
It's the best processor compatible with my machine, according to the high maintenance manual described here. The laptop has a video player so (ATI) with which I am happy so far. The problem starts to appear when the strugels processor to process the final video file. I have 8 GB of RAM installed on the computer, and I modernize that one for the 16 GB maximum, once I know that I can upgrade the processor.
If you require any more information about my laptop in order to help me, please ask and I will be happy to provide them
If there is a better processor compatible with the motherboard, and you recommend it, please let me know.
Also, if possible, I've seen some of the more recent models dv6, blacks who came just after the dv6-4023TX, who have a HD display. Is it possible for me to update the display as well? If so, can what part number you recommend?
Kind regards
Yanni
The i7-2820QM is your option at the top of the page. You'll need the manual, and I think you might have seen it, but just in case, here it is:
Unfortunately, your system does not support 16 GB of RAM. Also from 2 ghz to 2.3 ghz, even with an increase of L2 cache memory won't be a huge improvement. The processor is about $ 150. I'm not sure it'll be worth it, but it's your call. If you need assistance more let us know:
The tasks you described are probably dependent on CPU but some audio and image design applications depend on the storage access and an SSD can do wonders. Only the compatible screen is 1366 x 768. Even if you can update the screen, you would seek another $ 150 or more and with your laptop and $300, more than you could probably get a 4th gen i7 laptop computer which can be significantly more capable. Just say "."

HP dv6-7220us: want to upgrade processor 7220us dv6
Hello community HP,
I'm a dv6-7220us, and I want to upgrade the processor. I already updated to the maximum of 16 GB ram, but I need more 5 cores to run a program that I need. I was wondering what I need to upgrade the processor and what would be the most important, I could go with without having to buy a new motherboard?
Thank you

Well I am trying to run Autodesk Revit and requires 10 GB ram and 6 minimum hearts to work. I can't find the motherboard P/N, unless I take it all goes, I am a little hesitant to do that I don't know my way around a laptop that well and I don't really have the time to fix it if something is not bad. I've seen other laptops come with i6 and i7 processors so I was just wondering if it was possible to be upgraded before going to my local electronic store and jostling in the purchase of a new laptop.
Number of room in new laptops are in the battery compartment. If you need you'll have number of cores to come by the office. Laptop does not come with 6 hearts currently because of the restriction of heat / thermal and more likely price would be high. There is no i7 or i5 i6 and not unless your outlet and the advice is for the new processors iNtel you cannot simply move to those. Your needs require a computer desktop respond to your deduction limit to the core no laptop currently cannot do.
