DV6000 AMD TL-56 processor upgrade options

Hi there and thank you in advance for your comments.

Y at - it an upgrade of my Pavilion laptop processor?

The current one is an AMD TL-56 1.8Ghz (64 x 2)

Laptop computer product code is Dv6331eu and it has 2 MB of RAM

Is there an upgrade of RAM available as well?

I do not know what is the version of the BIOS, but will in a few days (I just bought)

It is currently running windows 7 with a 32 bit OS

Let me know if you need more info.

The price of the upgrade, I would say it's worth.

You will notice improved performance.

Lay out level, disk cleanup, defragmentation and increase virtual memory, you will see improvement.

Fix. No support for quad cores on this platform.

You make the smart choice with the T9600. Enjoy!

What would be the best processor upgrade for my

    Compaq Presario SR5412NL desktop PC

It's running windows vista 32 bit, I'll upgrade my memory to 4 GB.

I use the most for Photoshop/Illustrator pc it seems to slow my pc down when I use these programs simultaneous.

And would it be another option to run these programs from an ssd instead of the HD that make a difference?

You are the very welcome, Suzan.

I would say that the safe bet for the best processor the E7400.

Your PC was introduced in March 2008.

I fear the E7500 and E7600 that came out in 2009, will not be managed because I can't update the BIOS of your PC that adds support for the latest processors.

  • Pavilion 15-g004AU: processor upgrade

Hello everyone, I would like to know if it is possible to upgrade my computer 15-g004AU Pavilion laptop at least 2 Ghz processor? My processor is 1 GHz, but it is not enough to manage my work, so I would like to know if it is possible to upgrade this kind of model of HP laptop? If so, then how much it will cost to upgrade to 2 Ghz in India? And also I would like to know the lowest cost that my budget is very limited. Thank you.

You have the AMD E1-2100 processor, which is extremely low. Here is the Manual:

    Manual

See page 17-18. See the list of system boards? There is a different for each processor. This means that the CPU is soldered to the motherboard. You need to replace the whole motherboard to get a faster processor. The minimum that you can get that has a clock speed of 2.0 ghz is this one:

Processor AMD A6-6310 and UMA graphics 764262-501 (support Windows 8.1 standard).

The jury is on sale here for $80:

Labor to install it can be very expensive because it is a very complicated process. After back if you are interested in pursuing further.

Upgrade options are also somewhat confusing.

The mini works fine for me and before that pitch for a newer model, wanted to explore options of upgrade of it for at least a dual processor at the fastest speed it can handle.  Right now, it is running.  Have disk space enogh with 128 GB of free space, 1 GB of RAM.   Running a 1.66 GHZ N455 chip.

Not sure if a 1.5 GHZ dual chip will really make a substantial difference, or if it's time for new technologies.

Atom processors were a dead-end. However, the N550 1.5 ghz dual was one of the best. A bit like the world above 'little person' but still a honor:

    http://cpuboss.com/CPUs/Intel-Atom-N550-vs-Intel-Atom-N455

Just to put it into perspective, here is a graph of the N550 vs some real processors.

    http://www.cpubenchmark.NET/CPU.php?CPU=Intel+Atom+N550+%40+1.50GHz

I saw the N550 motherboards for $45 on eBay. Performance is perhaps 30% better than the single core 1.66.

Your best upgrade is to install the 2 GB of RAM.

If you feel compelled by the whole thing of netbook, I'd get a new laptop. The technology comes from the netbook to be a reference in the calculation of the story. Good idea at the time. A good current smart phone probably has as much computing power.

  • Dimension 4700 choice of processor upgrade

    Hi all

Need some advice on the processor upgrade choices for a Dimension 4700 with a Pentium 4. I mainly use this machine to launch Cubase 4.5, and an Emu Proteus system and I am running up to the limit of my titles and sampling. I can't go further than 12 titles and which includes three tracks 48 k samples simultaneously. It seems incredible, but it is not enough good my goals of recording. It seems that what I really need, is a Quad-Core or even an I7. On my budget, it will not happen. My budget is $ 400.00 and it grows. I realize that maybe these specifications do not support upgrading to even a Dual-Core, and even if I could how much difference I would hear and experience in Cubase and Proteus fact?

What I would really like to get out of this system is a machine of 24 tracks with the same 48 k samples I need for serious recording, I'd settle for 8 simultaneous samples per song as well as 24 tracks.  Basically, it would be normal 16 pieces of Cubase VST over 8 tracks samples of Proteus.  What would rock!

If a serious CPU upgrade is plausible, should I upgrade my CPU cooling fan and XP Home Pro? Is my only option a faster Pentium 4?
