Dv6000 series

I have this model - dv6515ej

I want to spend my hard drive, 160G is barely enugh.

I found the hardware specs of my model on the HP site and it says that my phone supports up to 250G only.

the manual only is outdated or it means that those who are just hard drives that come with my model?

so, my model supports disk sata of 500G hard?

P. S.

I found the manual for maintenance of my model, I've not cleaned for dust since I bought it (3 years), where can I find the manual on how to 'dust '?

It warms up pretty bad, and I'm sure that's the reason why.

Thanks for your time,

Zimmer.

Hello:

Any hard drive for laptop, I replaced, I just took the old on the caddy and screwed a new one in place. I don't think that you need to buy anything, but a naked portable player (as long as you don't lose or nothing to break).

  • Try to find information about the HP Pavilion DV6000 series

Anyone know why it is so incredibly difficult to find information on the HP website about the series HP Pavilion DV6000 of computers, and where I can find if it still exists?  I have found information on other sites that indicate enough although this computer of fixation for a sis friend hopeless and I am inclined to agree with what I've seen so far, but I can't find the lists of computers that are supposed to exist indicating which computers are supposedly devastated with this 'hopeless problem', it is currently impossible for me to confirm the verdict.  I prefer finally reach my own conclusions using as much information that I can possibly understand rather than simply using opinions limited to some people, and that is why I would be very happy for any information you could give me on this issue.

The system in question is HP Pavilion DV6000 series with a specific model of DV6405US number and the system shows that it is well powered food, but when you press the power button, the only thing that happens is that the battery light flashes three times and then absolutely nothing.  If I try the system on battery only, I get no response whatsoever, and I get same answer on AC power only.  I only get the flash answer three with AC and battery connected, and that's the only answer I got from the system.  This answer will repeat as many times as I press the power button.  I tried unplugging all sources of energy and don't let the rest of the system for an hour, by pressing the power button for about a minute, reconnect the power supply and I still get no results whatsoever, unless I have reinstall the battery.  At that point, he returned to simply give me only the three flashes of light battery.

I don't know of a list of anywhere that gives all of the models affected by the Nvidia gpu failure, but I can tell you that the DV6405US has the Nvidia GeForce Go 6150 , which is well understood. Models with this gpu have been included in a regulation by Nvidia that include spare laptops. Unfortunately, the deadline under the regulations is long expired.

Several members have used the service of repair HERE and reported excellent results. And before you ask_no, I am not affiliated in any way with this service. I simply have viable options for owners to post this problem and have seen its results. One of my personal friends even recently used his service and was very happy.

    Hello:

You can get the BIOS to support driver page was last updated and your laptop on the link below.

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/product?cc=us&LC=en&DLC=en&product=3664998

I will repeat what I mentioned earlier.

    1. There is only a Windows-based flash file.  Only company in the HP PC have BACK base of flash files and there is no way to update the BIOS from a drive, flash or BACK etc.

    2. you only need to run the Windows based flash using the operating system support (Windows Vista only).

Any attempt to Flash the BIOS using any other operating system laptop = dead.

The graphics card is soldered to the motherboard and cannot be removed or replaced.  It doesn't matter what said you that any software.  There is no graphics removable 'card' in your laptop.

  • Dv6000 series: Windows 7 to Windows 10

    Hello

Vendors (not only HP) works and tests Windows 10 and collaboration with Microsoft to work on what THEY should do when Windows 10 out to protect consumers. 10 Windows can not simply kill all the existing material, they need solutions and I think machines that have less than 3 years old will have higher priority. Please wait.

  • Dv6000 series upgrade RAM - 667 or 800 mhz?

Hi, I am in the process of fixing my HP Pavilion dv6746tx laptop, running Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit
The graphics fried and I replaced the motherboard, but I'd also move from 2 GB to 3 GB of RAM while I'm there.

The question is, I noticed a lot of RAM 800 mhz and wonder:
    (1) is it useful to change the 667 and 800?
    (2) it is even compatible with this computer?
    (3) if I keep 1 x 1 GB 667 mhz and add 1 x 2 GB 800 mhz, all still work OK? (even if I don't get any benefit from the 800 mhz)

For the most part, I ask this because my local computer store seems to only sell the 800 and their price is c. good.

EDIT: I know that Aries provided with this computer is DDR2 - what difference would make DDR3 / would this work?

You cannot use DDR3, but you can use DDR2 800. It will downclock to match the other RAM and will work fine.

  • The upgrade of dv6835nr (dv6000 motherboard) motherboard

Hello people. I had a perfectly working dv 6835nr computer for four years now and for some reason, it has overheated went crazy. Now, it does not start.

It's pretty 4 years old lappy with C2D 1.86 Ghz with 3Gib of ram and HDD 250 with a former > Intel GMA X 3100

I want to MOVE the jury (and the processor maybe) and I'm desperate for a new replacement motherboard and HARD drive in the same chassis (for reasons that I can't buy a new laptop).

Can people to the HP service center in a the top end of the dv6000 series motherboard? (I think the dv6000 has the same frame, I think than any other top panel with graphics too must match)

OR if it's possible but not eligible by the people of HP service center, can I go outside, if so where can I get parts... ? Can someone tell me what HP model dv6000 series of cards can fit in?

    Thank you

I don't know if you have already gone through, but all the specifications of your system, including the motherboard are in the section of this Web site, just type in your model number and download. I don't know what kind of chip (intel, athelon, etc., these websites also proved useful information.) I share this because I recently had a problem with Sony. T Hey claimed that I could not pass my Pentium D processor dual core 4 G ready for windows 7. When I checked my sys. BIOS it said 64 bit ready. Site Web from Intel provide the same information. Manufacturing specified able only 2 G. Cannot always count on manufactured goods. My experience with HP technical support has been a nightmare.

  • HP Pavilion dv6000 Notebook: How do I replace the keyboard on HP Pavilion dv6000 laptop

What are the steps to replace the keyboard on a HP Pavilion laptop to dv6000 series? Impossible to find videos on this topic.

    Here is the Service Manual:

    Manual

Pages 5-23-5-29. Remove the battery and there are screws in there that allow the removal of the plastic strip above the keyboard button part once you flip it on. Once it is off it is pretty self-explanatory and the photos show the process.

  • Upgrading a dv6000 to 4 GB of ram

    Hello

I dug just my old HP and would like to get a few programs running that are not available on Mac. Most of them need 4 GB of ram, however, and my laptop, according to Crucial system scanner can support 2 GB. I'm no expert on upgrading a laptop and you want to know the best way to allow my computer to accommodate 4 GB of ram. It would involve exchange of the motherboard, if so, what is a good cost-effective alternative? Thank you

Edit: more information on my laptop...

Your processor is a 32-bit processor, so you will not be able to use full 4 GB of RAM, although you can install it. The first thing to do is update the BIOS with the latest version:

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=ob-90466-1&cc=us&DLC=en&LC=en&OS=2093&product=3224055&sw_lang=

I guess that the laptop still has Windows Vista on it which is good because you should not try to install the update the BIOS of Windows 7.

I know that the dv6000 series will take 3 GB of RAM, but not 4 a reason any. So you can buy a 2 gig and a 1 GB and they will work. If the programs you want to run really need 4 concerts, I fear that this laptop may not provide.

  • HP dv6000 hard drive update

    Hello

I have a HP Pavilion dv6000. the machine is about 2 years. the hard drive (150 gig) develop some bad sectors and it seems the right way to replace it. So the following questions:

    1. can I replace it myself or should I send to HP?

    2. What can I upgrade to?

3 is it advisable to upgrade the ram (1 GB) as well?

    Thank you

    Jaco

Depending on the exact model, it peaks at 2 or 4 GB. The upgrade from 2 to 4 concerts only makes sense in my opinion if you want to use 64-bit Windows. Otherwise, even with 4 gigs installed, the computer can not use more than 3 gigs.

7200 TPM have caused problems with the old part of the dv6000 series; models with numbers dv6499 and less. That also tends to be the line of demarcation between the units of max to 2 GB and maxing out at 4.

  • Dv6000 keyboard interchangeable with G6000

It does not. The keyboard incorporates DV6000 series dv6000 set of laptops, but not the G6000.

  • The upgrade of the motherboard on DV6000

I have a DV6000 with an Intel processor. I want to spend the motherboard, so I can install both a faster processor and a better graphics card. My question is... What is the best motherboard that I can install on this case? I don't mind to do a small modification to the case if one plank DV6500 series and above will fit, I would that the HDMI output. So overall, I need to know: the best advice for a DV6000, what change in case do I need to do, and what additional parts will I need for the new motherboard. I know I have to upgrade my fan and the heat sink.

    Thank you

Now I got it. The card mother G72M is for an Intel processor with the dv6000 series nVidia graphics. The other 2, I think, use the integrated graphics card Intel. The G72M will perform better, but you risk running into default from nVidia that swept dv6000s and prompted a recall. If you can live with graphics performance Ho-hum I would receive the mother board 945 chipset, because as far as I know that those who have not caused any problems. Here is the motherboards used replacement HP for your model series. They represent the water drop in replacements except it may require some work miners dremel to breach to tell a firewire port which would not have been on your machine to the origin but which is on the replacement motherboard.

  • Presario F500: Computer screen laptop Compac presario F500 won't quite come

I had my laptop in 2010 and it has just started to spoil. tried to turn it on today and the screen remains black. I looked at other comments from people who have the same problem as me and tried what they said to do and nothing. can someone help me please. I need to get the images and videos that cannot be replaced off the coast of this laptop and I would also like to use this laptop for my work.

    Thank you

Well you can easily remove the hard drive and connect it to a USB to SATA adapter and use it as a big USB stick to copy and paste the files on another computer. You do not give us the exact model, but if it has a processor AMD or nVidia graphics is a cousin of the dv6000 series which has been the subject of a recall over a faulty motherboard, there is many years. The motherboard could be repaired or replaced. We can help with that. If you can remove the motherboard, it could be fixed for well under $100, but frankly that the money would be better placed to a new laptop. However, if you want to try we can provide more information.

  • I get BSOD with the key USB TV Tuner PX1211E-1TVD

    Hi all

I just bought the model tuner TV USB Toshiba px1211e-1tvd and whenever I turn it on I get a blue screen error on my hp Pavilion dv6821el pc... dv6000 series.

I tried to update the BIOS and the driver of my pc's display, but without results...

The USB device is properly installed and the program (savvy tv) included with the cd as well, but I still get the Blue error screen...
The operating system is Windows Vista...

What can you suggest me to do folks?

    Please... I need help :-(

    Hello

The BSOD appears usually due to a hardware problem problem or software commutabilite.
I think in your case it s a software problem and I recommend updating the driver.

The new driver could be found on the European driver Toshiba page in the Options area.
On the driver page choose this:

    * Options-> Office Accessories based-> tuner TV USB hybrid TV Tuner Windows Vista 32 bit *.

There you can find Savvy TV driver.
