  You have a problem with my parents computer laptop and I cannot for the life of understand me.

  The wireless on the laptop disappeared completely. It was working fine last night and since then to turn it on this morning, it didn't work. The are no wireless connection in the Connections window and in the Device Manager, nothing is found. Windows is not saying there is a material must be installed and I can't find the drivers to uninstall.

  I tried to install the latest drivers and still nothing was found. Few at the front of the laptop to turn on the wireless or disable control IT. By pressing fn and F8 (the wireless function key) does nothing no more.

  , Someone has any idea how to solve this problem? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

My laptop is model Pavilion G6 1052si using a broadcom 802.11n network adapter and since my original OS is dead (windows 7 ultimate), I decided to just go ahead and install windows 8.problem is since then I havnt been able detect wireless network... drivers are up to date, the equipment works because I surfed with her when in ubuntu (dual boot) and the only time where I surf on the Northeast then only under windows is using a wired...   My N100 originally shipped with Vista and has been downgraded to XP.  I recently had to reinstall Windows XP and the wireless 802.11 abg is not recognized by Windows XP.  Is there a device driver that needs to be downloaded?  I looked at downloads, but I don't know that I found something that is necessary to my problem.  Thanks for your help.

  I found the answer.  I downloaded the Braodcom Wireless Lan Driver for Windows XP 3000 C200, N100 and followed the instructions.  My wireless adapter is now recognized and the WiFi works well.

• Qosmio F10: Driver Installation does not detect the wireless network card

  I wonder if anyone can help before I phone supported again. My motherboard is dead and ASP replaced and recovered my laptop qosmio F10. Since having back, my wireless card did not work.

  Windows detects a "network controller" whenever it starts and gives me the opportunity to install it. I tried to install it by navigating in the 'tools and utilities' records CD rom for folders and subfolders of "Wireless network driver" and it still does not detect the card.

  The question is how did you install the operating system? If you use the restore CD to install all tools including Toshiba HW setup. If the unit is pre-installed with the Microsoft Windows XP Home edition CD, you must install all the stuff of Toshiba late.

  I understand that you're looking for more information about the 5 GHz wireless connectivity computer laptop dv6.

  The adapter supplied with your laptop is not a dual band card and does not support the frequency of 5 GHz.

  Generally (RFI) Wireless interference can be solved by changing the channel on your router wireless. The default value for most router manufacturers is channel 6, which runs on 2,437 GHz. You can change the channel on your router to channel 1 wireless (2.412 GHz) or 11 (2,462 GHz) away from the bloated channel 6 if there are several wireless networks and devices in your area.

  If changing the channel is not an option, or does not resolve the problem, you can buy a wireless network for your laptop adapter. The only 5 GHz compatible card that is compatible with your laptop is the Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6230. The part number for this is 631956-001. You should be able to order it on the HP part Surfer Web site or third party like Amazon or eBay resellers.
