N100 wireless not detected in XP Reinstall

My N100 originally shipped with Vista and has been downgraded to XP.  I recently had to reinstall Windows XP and the wireless 802.11 abg is not recognized by Windows XP.  Is there a device driver that needs to be downloaded?  I looked at downloads, but I don't know that I found something that is necessary to my problem.  Thanks for your help.

I found the answer.  I downloaded the Braodcom Wireless Lan Driver for Windows XP 3000 C200, N100 and followed the instructions.  My wireless adapter is now recognized and the WiFi works well.

    Hello

If WLAN adapter is not listed in Device Manager, it means malfunction wlan. The best way to check whether it is hardware or software/driver associated is to restore the settings from the factory with a recovery disk. If she did not always appear, you must contact the service center for repair or buy the usb wifi dongle.

I recommend you to reset the WLan router to the default value.
The router should support a pool of IP addresses to allocate and connect the units to a wireless network automatically without the use of the fixed IP address.
If your router supports the WMM feature, check if you can disable this option.

In addition, in the properties of the wireless network, you need to check the TCP / IP v4 Protocol.
Here in the TCP / IP properties v4 would be setting the IP address, subnet mask, and DNS server settings default getway.
All these options should be set on: automatically get an IP (DNS server).

Your laptop seems to use the Atheros WB335 802.11bgn card Wlan.
The driver not found on the page of the Toshiba UE driver.
When changing the settings above does not help, you should go to Device Manager and need to uninstall the WLan card driver.

After restarting again, follow these steps:
    1. open Device Manager
    2. Select network adapters and then click on the WiFi (Atheros Ethernet controller) network adapter
    3. go driver tab and click Update driver
    4. Select Browse my computer for driver software
    5. Select let me pick from a list of drivers for devices on my computer
    6. Select the Atheros 802.11bgn wireless network adapter"entry in the list
    7. reboot and test the WLan functionality.

    Good luck

  • Satellite 5200 903 does not detect the wireless adapter

    Hello everyone,
I wonder if anyone can switch me to it...
Since I reinstalled the operating system (my XP pro SP2) PC seems not detecting don't nor the wireless adapter in the device under network adapter Manager.
Also the light of the flexibility wireless no longer not.
I also have problems to access the BIOS to check if the card is detected there, have not a Toshiba HW setup in Control Panel as described in the manual.
    Any suggestions?

    Hello Juliana

The question is how did you install the operating system? If you use the restore CD to install all tools including Toshiba HW setup. If the unit is pre-installed with the Microsoft Windows XP Home edition CD, you must install all the stuff of Toshiba late.

Just a little explanation about the wireless network card. Basically, if the wireless switch indicator turns not on s clearly indicate on hardware problem. I guess that the wireless card is faulty. Also check if the card is listed in the Device Manager.

If you want to enter the BIOS settings pres ESC key at the boot routine and keep it down for a few seconds.

  • HP Photosmart Plus 209 a - m does not detect my wireless

I have a HP Photosmart Plus 209 a - m wireless all-in-one printer and I use Windows 7 for my OS. The printer does not detect my wireless. I checked the setings wireless to the printer. Wireless is on and working, but it fails to detect our SSID.

I used print and Scan doctor but who could not connect to the printer. I tried the printer on my computer but my computer does not detect it. I tried to download the HP software to reinstall the printer, but I received a message stating that the printer was not connected.

This printer has worked with wireless network in the past. I suspect a recent change in the disposition of our wireless network might have caused the problem, but I don't know how to fix it.

    Any suggestions?

So I solved the problem by uninstalling the "upgradeprinter" (that's what my computer was recognizing the HP Photosmart Plus 209 as). Icon in the list of printers for the HP Photosmart wouldn't let me not uninstall this printer at that time where (the button uninstall is not usable). I kept the HP software installed and I kept the printer connected to the computer. The computer uninstalled you 'Upgradeprinter' then restarted. When the computer restarts automatically began to reinstall the HP Photosmart Plus printer correctly. I don't know if he has begun to do this because I tried redownloading the installation software, because the HP software installed always, either because the printer is connected to my computer. I decided to ask it was useless as long as it works. The printer is installed properly, but after you run a scan with print and Scan doctor, I found that it was only installed to run on the USB port. I ran the software Wireless USB. Attempts to do this before the reinstall failed because the software failed to detect an HP printer connected to my computer. This time, it worked. My computer can now print to the printer HP Photosmart Plus wireless. Added to * beep *, then I could uninstall the previously installed printer because the Uninstall button, which wouldn't work not before, now worked.

  • Reinstalled Windows Vista 32 bit on my 64-bit computer. Does not detect not NIC

I was running a Windows 7 on a 64-bit computer. A Lenovo Thinkpad, due to some strange reason, that my computer has started to slow down and suspended. I ran all kinds of tests to see if it was a virus, but the computer is clean as a whistle.

I decided to reinstall the operating system to see if it was a HARD drive problem or just software. I couldn't find my windows 7 ultimate DVD so I installed the Vista 32 bit and it works fine. The only problem that I face, it's that his does not detect does not the wireless network card. I went to control panel > Device Manager > network adapters and can't find LAN options.
I'm sure that the wireless adapter exists because I used it for more than 6 months.
Is there a way to fix this?

  • HP dv6-7010us wifi is not detecting wireless signals.

A month ago I bought the computer hp dv6-7010us laptop. I stated it upward and checked the wifi options. He was able to see very well wireless signals. Then I installed a new operating system - windows 7 ultimate 64-bit. I installed all the drivers for it and everything was fine except for the wifi. The drivers are installed, but now it doesn't detect wireless signals. It keeps telling me "no connection is available. I went to multiple wifi access points where I KNOW there is a signal, but it does not detect.

The current driver, I have for the wlan is AR9485 of Qualcomm Atheros 802.11b/g/n. A representative from hp support told me that I would have to order recovery dvd (yes I've eliminated the recovery disk) and restore the factory operating system so that my wifi works properly. It doesn't look good for me. This seems to be a driver problem. So I uninstalled the driver, returned the site official HP to try another wifi driver and installed the same driver that I had before... with the same result... no connection available.

I'm stumped and could use some help.

    Thank you.

OK so I ordered the HP restore disc last Friday... and he got here Saturday - HP GO!

Anyway, I reinstalled the factory system, and of course wifi collecting wifi signals. I watched the pilot and it was the same one I had installed on my windows 7 ultimate - (but it wasn't). So I used a free software called 'dual driver' to backup all drivers factory... reinstalled my windows 7... double driver to restore drivers from the factory os and BLAMMO! My wifi now works with my windows 7 ultimate.

So, my advice to everyone is backup all drivers factory until you wipe your system. Restore them after you install your own operating system.

  • Qosmio F10: Driver Installation does not detect the wireless network card

I wonder if anyone can help before I phone supported again. My motherboard is dead and ASP replaced and recovered my laptop qosmio F10. Since having back, my wireless card did not work.

Windows detects a "network controller" whenever it starts and gives me the opportunity to install it. I tried to install it by navigating in the 'tools and utilities' records CD rom for folders and subfolders of "Wireless network driver" and it still does not detect the card.

I also tried to install using the cd rom web gui and selected the 'Pilot wireless network' link and then tried to install it. It opens a dos command prompt and try to install but comes up with the error "failed installation.

I ran the customer service and they told me to run the qosmio recovery/then recovery of product/recovery of qosmio and again...

I still don't the card wireless not yet installed. This happened to someone else?

I tried already shot the drivers from the web, but with no luck... If a representative of customer service with the help of good technical knowledge that would be great, or if someone has encountered the problem too and he had fixed to the give me some advice...

    Thank you very much

    Hello

you see the card wireless as an unknown device in Device Manager? If this is not the case, perhaps that the card was not properly installed after replacing the motherboard.

Sorry I have no other idea.

I have the macbook air. I tried to connect my macbook to my Dell Wireless mouse. But my macbook could not detect the mouse

Without a model number, we cannot exclude that particular mouse is incompatible with OSX, especially if it is old.

OS X pair with a large number of devices bluetooth automatically, but some need to be put in pairing mode.  You will find the Dell mouse model and see if that is his business.
