  Following further investigation, this seems to be monitor failure.

• HP 7520 installation fails

  I've successfully installed 7520 drivers and setup a few months ago and printer was working fine with and without wire.  Then one day she was leaving print slowly wired desktop computer.  Later, there was no possibility of the wired printer.  The printer works very well to a print wireless from another computer request.  The wired connection display a print spooler does not not message.  I started the print spooler service and I was not able to add a printer because of a print spooler similar message.

  Scanned the system with several malware product, some things have been cleaned up so that Norton missed.

  Reinstalled HP software and drivers site (PS7520_1315 - 1.exe)

  When you run the installation fails with an error code of 1726 - cannot add discovered Port Monitor HP Monitor Port.

  Downloaded the 'HP Installation failure - Port Monitor Failure' and follow the instructions.

  He ran and he prays to start the print spooler that was turned off again and then continues on but fails in the same place.

  Basically, I uninstalled, reinstalled several times, scanned.  What I am doing wrong?

  I love this printer, but I can't use it from my desktop connection because of the wired print spooler problem.

  Thanks for the reply.  I was stuck in a loop.  I downloaded the doctor Print and it ran with the
  printer on and USB connected to the printer.  It identified my printer and software "Installed" status, said.  Click
  Then--> the difficulty of printing and it tells me that the software must be installed.  When I download and install, the
  installation fails with the same error as before.

  Three possible causes:

  (1) monitor failure... If you have another monitor... try it and see if the problem persists.

  (2) video driver needs to be updated... or maybe he has been updated through automatic

  updates and you need roll back to the previous driver.

  (3) could be a hardware problem... Omitting graphics video card and adapter. This would be

• 12 usual Workstation upgrade disaster. Upgrade process is completely broken.

  Is not surprised at all. Been here before over and over. Is there an update of the workstation then it is best to avoid it altogether.  However, like a fool, I fell for the trap and thought to myself "it is not totally fail this time".  Wrong again.

  I will say that I have a full suite of VMware in the office and servers ESXi 5.5 and vSphere and the entire cluster of good things and it's a great enterprise class software. The WorkStation product has been pretty darn cool in the last decade but I learned, or should have understood now, once you have it work never touch or update. Never. Just don't.

  So I have WorkStation 12 Pro installed on a Red Hat Enterprise 6.8 machine which has terabytes of storage in mirror and 32 GB of memory with a collection of AMD Opteron processors, and it's a real workhorse that is running VMware WorkStation for years. I had every major release since WorkStation 5 and I go through this process once every few years. The dreaded disaster, called "update".  I made the mistake and fell for it and now of course, I installed the VMware Workstation 12.1.1 update and it does not start. It is fried.

  What I see:

  Now comes the really hard to swallow part of this bitter pill. While I have the support of enterprise-class full ESXi environment at the office that you can not even buy all support for workstation. Nope. You are in the cold and good luck.

  So what's the next step here?

  Is there a detailed somewhere log file?

  Is there an error beyond stupid blind 'FAILURE '?

  Problem solved by a de-install workstation 12.1.1 completes:

  Don't know if anyone else has questions nightmare on Fedora with VMware and other...

  After getting through the questions with the headers of the kernel, GCC, etc... for the installation is successful, I set up a machine and try to start it but get:

  I encountered exactly the same problem and finally solved by disabling "Secure Boot" from the BIOS.

  When "Secure Boot" is enabled, the unsigned kernel extensions will be not allowed to load. vmmon. Ko and vmnet.ko are of course not signed with cert of Fedora, so they will not work.

  Monitoring of virtual machine will restart a virtual machine if HA detects more VMtools beating heart, but also the network IO and storage to the virtual machine.

  If a host loses access to a data store that HA is concerned this depends on which version of vSphere is used and how to access that is lost (ODA or PDL - see details here VMware KB: loss of the device (PDL) Permanent and All - paths - Down (APD) in vSphere 5.x ).  If running vSphere 6, HA now has a feature (VM component Protection) which will restart all virtual machines affected by ODA or PDL on a host that is not affected. If using earlier versions of vSphere even with VM followed the active user intervention will be necessary since VM monitoring only restarts the virtual machine (and not on a new host) (vSphere5.1 storage improvements & #8211;) Part 4: All roads down (APD).
