  1.) this USB DVB - T tuner lets you receive digital television signals.
  The key can be used in the laptop to laptop, but also with the desktop PC.

  I am under W7 with a TV USB2FM hauppauge tuner. Shows do not register. The event log shows events like this:

  (show) not saved. When the show had to register, there is no TV signal.

  When I initially start Media Center and start live TV, I get snow, which I think is why do not save the show.

  If I press the channel upward or down, I get a station (I see the program without snow) and then I can return to the previous station channel and it all works.

  However, as soon as I stop Media Center, the same thing happpens - I get snow on the first station I set causing recordings to fail.

  I've updated the drivers, so I don't know what else to do.

  Darryl, I would say... Misses in all your cables?

  One or more don't are NOT adjusted, resulting to the effect of 'snow '. The entry-n-will a clear picture can also indicate that your TV card may NOT be properly seated either (same default). Check and replace if necessary.

• Hauppauge Tv Tuner does not

  I just got a new p6180 of HP (Vista 64-bit) with Tv Tuner Hauppauge 1800.  After fighting with the IR taken in the back (had to jiggle just to establish a connection) I started working on the DTV tuner.  I spent so many days to update drivers, re-installing windows media center (6.1.1000.18304) and so on with highly volatile results.  Here's the problem:

  Every once and awhile I am able to boot the computer and television live works in windows media center.  Then after the computer goes to sleep, or I close the victory Media Center and do any other job and then reopen WMC or restart the computer WMC says "Tv Signal No."  Then I spend another 4 + hours messing around with drivers, re install WMC, playing with the installation program, etc., before entering TV again.   Once I get the TV it works fine for a session or two and then it dies and it takes me hours to get it working again.   I can't understand why he died, and then I can't pin point what I did different for this work or why it stopped working.  I have not installed anything simply surfs the web or the computer went to sleep, and then he died.    I'm so frustrated.  I received via the digital signal from the air (OTA) for a few years now and never had any problems of signal (signal 80 strength +).  I also connected the cable to my tv to check a signal when WMC said there is no TV signal and he was always very well.

  Ideas before you go try and return the card or your computer?

  Thanks for all the ideas.  I actually thought out if I turnned on the computer and then unplugged the card and plug it back it will work.  Which is until the computer could stop or go to sleep.  Then I would repeat the process to make it work again.  So I talked with HP after doing a bunch of diagnostics (motherboard and like) they decided to send me a new card tuner (same version Hauppage 1800).  I plugged a week ago and have not had a single problem since.

  All for a faulty card.

  Oh the connection works better now too.

• Windows Media Center says "look at one or conflict Listening - no tuner available to meet the current demand" once I replaced a Hauppauge USB HDTV tuner with an AverMedia USB HDTV tuner.

  The Device Manager shows the new tuner works correctly.  I disabled the WMC service and turned it back several times.  I tried to download a fix online, I found which seems would help (Microsoft hotfix KB981129) but when I try to install it (the 64-bit version) I a get a message that the ' update is not applicable to your computer.

  It's driving me crazy.  WMC was working perfectly fine when I had the Hauppauge USB tuner in place.  But when I replaced the Hauppauge tuner with the tuner Avermedia, I got this message and cannot watch television.  I always have a channel guide, but when I click on any program in this guide I get this message. When I click on Live TV, I get this message.

  Hi DrRdr Rd, yes most likely to register, often conflicting drivers, here's what to do.

  1. uninstall the TV Tuner using Device Manager, the removal of all drivers.

  2. go to C:\ProgramData\Microsoft, delete the ehome folder, you may need to stop all processes IE mcGlidHost and running ehrecvr.

  3. Open regedit and go to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Media Center\Service\Video, you will see a key named Tuners, delete the key. Close regedit and restart, allowing windows to reinstall the drivers.

  3. Open Media Center and try to go forward through the configuration.

  As far as I know this laptop DVB - T + Analog TV Tuner support hybrid and the video format supported is MPEG2.

  What I need to know, is what card TV Tuner/Capture internal should I go for as the Hauppauge WinTV PVR 150 does not work well beyond 4 GB of RAM. To use it, so I need to limit my RAM less than 4 GB.
  The quality is good enough to view and capture. But I don't want to use the work around or reduce my RAM.

• No SBS station since the Windows 7 upgrade

  Since the upgrade to Windows 7, the Windows media Center does not tune the Stations of SBS.

  Given that I updated to Windows 7 the WMC can't find the SBS Stations. It worked fine with Vista Ultimate.

  In Media Center, go to tasks-> settings-> TV-> Guide-> Add missing channels.

• HP Z620: Jumpers on the motherboard Z620 FMB-1102

  I'm very curious to learn what is the jumper between the PCIe slots on a card mother FMB-1102 don't. I've searched high and low, but can't seem to find a refernce to it in any documentation. The dilemma is that my Hauppauge TV tuner card is not recognized in the Gen3 slots, but it is in the Gen2 ones. I have the BIOS current (3.88) and has been inspecting my boaerd when I noticed this jumper. Wanted to know its function. Thought that maybe he defined the parameters of cardslot somehow. Any help?

  pete914, Z620 rider is you ask the subject located between the connector PCI-32 white and black PCIe connector above it?  It's the jumper highlighted in yellow in the picture below?

  

  If so, it is the header of E15 boot block recovery.  There is a jumper on pins 2 and 3 (pins beside your right hand in this picture).

  Move the jumper to pins 2-3 (default) to 1-2 manufally forces the system into recovery for the boot block mode.  The system is trying to reflash the BIOS OF THE system, a player connected USB will boot the system with the jumper on pins 1-2.  It will appear as no system startup and there will be a few flashes of keyboard and maybe some screen guests (it has been a long time since I tried this).

  If the system ROM BIOS is corrupted, the system will automatically for the boot block recovery mode.  It can be forced into this mode by moving the jumper and then reboot the system.  If your computer starts normally, do not move this jumper.  Leave it alone.

  A couple of shops selling the HP Pavilion 23 1070a model, but I'm going to be very difficult to find online reviews about it.

  I also have difficulty in getting a clear idea of the card - the store that sells the computer said there:

  Wireless network card

  Good nvidia graphics card - the guy in the store said this is dedicated but online specs say also that it fits also very confusing...

  But the specs little I could find online says it has much lower than that for example. processor i3, 4 GB of RAM, integrated graphics

• HPE-475UK: 10 Windows Installer Clean

  As thousands - or should I say millions - I was informed that my PC is eligible for the microsoft Windows 10 update.

  App W10 conducted its analysis and reports there is no conflict other than Windows Media Center that would be uninstalled.

  I am pessimistic and believe all this seamless up to this day, etc. - so I think I will sit this awhile--after all, I've got 12 months.

  Assuming I want to move forward to a point I have a few questions haunt me.

  1.

  The Hauppauge TV tuner will probably not work. Otherwise, it should be a pretty seamless upgrade of Windows 7.

  I did it on an old socket 775 PC with an Intel Cor 2 E8400 processor and it was smooth sailing.

  I would add that the old system of target was gaming grade (mobo ASUS CRosshair IV Rampage) with a 120 GB SSD installed as a startup disk. Upgrade your system to a SSD boot is a thing, you might want to.

• eHome IR transmitter fails to wake from sleep

  I am running Windows 7 64 bit on an HP box bought less than a year ago.  A Hauppauge 2250 tuner card is installed.  The tuner card is connected to my Comcast Cable box by an IR transmitter.  The system worked well for months, but now I find that the IR Transmitter is not working after coming out of sleep mode.  Reboot and everything works well again.

  How can I get the IR transmitter to continue functioning when the computer wakes from sleep?
