  Nevermind, fixed it by myself. I didn't like a few measures freaking weird to fix it, but I managed to fix it.

  So, you tried to flash a ROM but did not work as expected? Then tried to fix the phone via PC Companion or a Sony update service, but did not work? Then I tried to Flash via Flashtool but it got stuck? This happened to me, but I managed to fix it! And the solution is there for you guys!

  Everyone knows these problems must follow the following steps:
  1 - Download these files:

  (these files are for Xperia J but also works for Xperia tipo and Miró)

  2 extract the files

  3 - Connect your phone normally. Do not connect in fastmode or flashmode, just connect it to the computer.

  4 - Open the files that you have extracted from Root_J.zip and run RunMe

  5 - Choose option 1 and click on enter

  13 - now that you have these files, install flashtool. Once installed, the firmware downloaded on C:\Flashtool\firmwares. Then go to C:\Flashtool\drivers and open the Installer package.

  14 - click Next. Now, a lot of drivers for select should appear. Go down and select Flashmode pilots and Fastboot. Only. These. Two.

  16 - a warning will be displayed. Simply select that you have confidence in it, and're you good to go.

  17. now, open flashtool and connect your Xperia tipo via flashmode (put on the battery, make sure that the phone turns, and then connect the cable to your phone while holding the button flight)

  19 - click on the lightning button in the upper left corner. This should appear. Check Flashmode and click OK.

  

  20 - a screen with the firmwares should appear. Select the ST21i firmware, make sure the "without final check" is not checked and wipe CACHE and DATA are checked and click flash. Does not check for other things, or you will ruin the solin.

  21 - Flashtool will prepare the files, and then the flash on your phone. If you have done all these steps correctly, Flashtool will not get stuck again. Well well, just for 1 to 5 seconds maybe. But then it will continue.

  22 - be patient and wait for flashing the ROM. When it flashes system.sin, it seems that late, that it gets stuck, but isn't. Just be patient. Wait for 1 to 5 minutes or less and it will finish.

  23 - once finished, you can now unplug your phone and start. It will take you 2 minutes. the first boot, just be patient. It will stay dark for a while and it seems that he died in the Sony logo. Just keep pressing the power button / stop and you're good to go.

  So there you go! Long steps but I could not make it easier. But don't worry, your phone is now its stock rom, but it works correctly. So I think you just learned a lesson like me: don't try to do stuff without properly follow the steps, heheh.

• Tray DVD - WR stuck on my 3000 V100

  I put a blank CD into my DVD drawer to copy to it, and it is stuck closed.  When I push the open/close button, it makes a short "grr" but does not open.  I used a paper clip in the small hole beside it, but don't feel anything depressing or clicking.

  I looked at the manual, and it says "Unplug the computer and remove the battery before removing the CD player."  I can't find the directions for removal of the CD player (unless they call it by another name, there are way to remove many parts, maybe I do not recognize what they call the CD player).

  Of course, I'm not a "Lenovo certified technician" as he says you have to remove a screw, but with optimism, I think I could take it apart if I just keeps repeating "righty-tighty"Lefty-loosey";

  Anyone know where to find the directions to take the CD player to get a CD stuck out of it?

  I understand that you have a dvd disc stuck in the player. I'm happy to help you with this.

  Looks like you have done the basic things that are necessary, then probably you need to use the method of manual release. It will take more effort than if the player is directly accessible. You can review other methods to eject the disc as well.

• Sony Handycam DCR-DVD505: failed to get video and audio

  Adobe first assessment.  If all goes well useful for users of Sony DCR-DVD505.

  Objectives:

  (1) obtain videos from handycam Sony DCR-DVD505 first elements

  (2) drag and drop various clips in the sceneline view

  (3) Insert menu marks

  (4) burn DVD

  Stuck at step 1, getting video from handycam, impossible to get video clips (with audio)

  First test: NO SOUND.

  Sony DCR-DVD505 burns a (1.4 GB) DVDs for recording.  After "completing" the drive, the media can be imported into the computer.  Streaming is supported by Windows XP driver but is no longer supported in Windows Vista.   Indeed, Vista Service Pack 2 (SP2) does not even recognize the camera as a DVD player!  Then demoted to Vista SP1 and the Sony Picture Motion Browser to import media into the computer in the form of MPG files.  Each MPG file is a video (corresponding exactly to the camera market record during the shooting sequence).  Then opens first Adobe Elements 8.  Media get to import all MPG clips in "organize."  Sliding and dropped various clips... Insert a menu or two and... the DVD burned.  PROBLEM: VIDEO OK, BUT NOT AUDIO (?).  MPG files on computer play very well (with audio) within Windows Media Player.  Read all sorts of nonsense about why Adobe Premier (probably older versions) does not work with 'low-quality/tablet"MPG and must be a particular type AVI so...

  Second test: Capture VOB directly

  Forget the camera.  Insert the DVDs directly into the computer's DVD drive, create a new project and followed directions for 'Truth on VOB' http://forums.adobe.com/message/2117743 and ' tools to convert/DVI" http://forums.adobe.com/thread/415317.  I loaded the VOB directly and dropped into the timeline as advised by the second post (only hitch being the first VOB pertaining to the DVD menu is not recognized and none is needed).

  However, the file > export is always grayed OUT (unusable).  And status at the bottom right seems to be looping through the 'provision of background. "  SHOULD I WAIT?  In all cases, the entire video is displayed as a single continuous stream and what I want are the clips from the camera?

  Then I tried the Prism (again according to the second forum post mentioned above).  He has just done something to deal with 30 minutes of video and crashed without explanation--saying that it was an error in the conversion in the end.

  This conversion of AVI's even a good idea?  How would return my clips?

  Bottomline.  My DVDs and imported MPGs plays fine in Windows Media Player.  However impossible to extract clips from the camera (with audio).

  Dawg, I have Sony DCR-DVD305 and used successfully for some time with PE7, with few problems, once I had a workflow by nailing.

  I think that the 505 is basically the same camera, with some additional features.

  This workflow has worked for me in the past, so I'll pass that along:

  Sony to PC MPEG browser.

  MPEG for Windows Movie Maker, output to DV - AVI, taking default settings.

  DV - AVI any PE7.

  This should also work for PE8.

  By getting Cyberlinks PowerDirector v7, my new workflow changed to this:

  I take the min-DVD directly from the camcorder to my PC and capture the disk via Power Director.

  PD will convert the VOB directly to DV - AVI Type 2 on a single pass.

  I then load this DV - AVI in PE7.

  (PD v7 was preinstalled on my new HP PC, or it can be purchased from Cyberlink).

  Other options to try:

  Copy the VOB directly from the DVDs on your PC and Prism can convert these to AVI.

  Or load the VOB or Mpeg in PE, then use it to convert it to AVI.

  (Export to DV - AVI with PE8 is made with SHARE/PC, not to export on the file Menu, which is grayed out).

  I had many problems working with Mpeg and VOB loaded directly to EP with limited success.

  So if you can get a proper conversion to AVI outside PE, I found this to be a better approach.

  Display the results, if this works for you...

  Note: Another thing, if you are working directly with the VOB to PE, including several VOB on a single DVD, you can encounter problems of out-of-sync between audio and video. In this case, consult this link to Muvipix:

  I have a Toshiba Satellite A100. I'm trying to burn a DVD using Microsoft Windows DVD Maker and a Sony DVD - RW. The laptop has a carpet * a DVD-RAM UJ-850 s ATA device.

  When I try to burn a DVD, a progress bar appears and is about 2% before the hanging.

  I also tried to format the DVD first, and which is progressing well before coming up with an error message saying that the drive could not be formatted.

  the following things could probably help you with your problem:

  -> control if a new BIOS for your machine and a new FIRMWARE update for your DVD player are available. Update the BIOS and the player firnware
  -> use another applications burning like Nero, CDBurnerXP or other thing that is usually know work well with almost all DVD - RW readers out there
  -> use a DIFFERENT brands of DVD media because the carpet * a readers are really picky

  If all these steps fail, then it is possible that your drive is defective and must be replaced.

  I have a Satellite L310 D4011 I bought recently in which I installed a DVD playback software.
  I run Windows XP. One of my friends played a video clip of the United Kingdom (Mccartney Live at red square) in the DVD player and the original region setting that was 0 with 5 remaining changes, went to 4 changes remaining and the area is now set to 2. I am in India where the region for DVD is 5. If I change to 5, I lose another change option.

  I don't want to leave my DVD ROM stuck 0 left options and some other areas.

  Can someone give me advice to reset the region back with five remaining options - as it was when I bought the laptop?
  I'll be very grateful. The salesperson who I bought the laptop will be able to get back to factory setting?

  I think Toshiba has nothing to do with it. To protect the film industry and interests all laptop manufacturers offer optical disk drives where you can watch movies with country code but only 5 times. The last chosen region code will be set as default. So if you have more than 4 codes there is no reason to panic. Just continue to watch movies in your favorite area.

  I'm 100% sure that Toshiba service or the vendor where you bought your laptop will say that they have nothing to do with it. In drive properties you have set out to clear how it works.

  In any case, you can try to contact them and ask for help.
