Sorry, but I didn t find the CD/DVD drivers. or for Vista 64-bit, 32-bit or XP.

  • Satellite Pro 4600: WinXP - no hardware acceleration for dvd?

I have a satellite pro 4600 pentium 3 800 with 128 MB of ram and graphics Trident CyberBlade XP card. The device is perfectly able to reproduce DVDs with the software alone by using PowerDVD 6. However due to the fact that my battery is almost dead, I would be able to play the DVD the most optimized battery settings.

Setting of the unit (approximately 350 mhz) low processor should be able to play DVDs if backed up by hardware acceleration, since cyberblade claims to be a card directX 7 with motion compensation and idct. However 4 PowerDVD 6 PowerDVD and windvd 7 do not recognize hardware acceleration under windows XP.

In the past, I had a similar problem with a laptop computer with a graphics card than cyberblade i7. I was then able to activate hardware acceleration using just powerdvd 4 and windows 98, but I don't want to resort to that.

Can someone help me? Do you know any software reading with the support of cyberblade XP Windows? Do I need any other drivers? I have the drivers on the toshiba site, and they date back to 2001.

    Hello

Unfortunately, I n t have any experience in hardware acceleration of the cyberblade card but mobile graphics cards are not similar with Office PC cards.
As far as I know the unit has a support of the Trident Cyber BLADE XP video controller 16 MB VRAM external video and DVD material.
However, you will find the Toshiba drivers on the Toshiba site but if you need one on so I would say to ask the support of Trident.
But if you use no drivers Toshiba you can do at your own risk!

  • DVD read slow and jerky.

Recently, I was copying a DVD on my hard drive of DVD read/write drive using the. Apparently there are a lot of mistakes on the DVD disc so the unfinished copy. Subsequently, I found that DVDs who played correctly on other computers would not properly play on it (XP SP3 on a Dell Inspiron 1525), but rather they play showing jerky images and not smoothly as usual.

I tried to uninstall the unit DVD and re-install it - which has corrected this problem on other computers, I have - nothing works. I also tried the "fix" of registry by removing the filters above and below - no help there. See information system using Nero, it shows the unit DVD controller to be the "Primary IDE" with DMA off. I checked and found the "DMA if available" box to be listed under properties to "Primary IDE". There seems to be no way to activate DMA for the DVD otherwise.

I replaced the DVD material with another identical device, that I know works and it also plays videos wrong so I think that it's a software problem and not material. I would like suggestions.

    Thank you.

    Hi again Rob,

    I found the solution!

I started to follow your suggestions in order and completed stage of scanning of files. I am lucky to have two computers running and while it was appeased with the tests, I kept searching online and found this site:http://club.myce.com/f61/troubleshooting-enabling-checking-dma-windows-vista-xp-2000-me-9x-101616/. There was a big discussion on the problems of DMA and the author had a simple solution to try. It seems that Windows will automatically disable DMA on an IDE channel after several errors occur with the device it controls. There is no 'normal' way to reactivate by simply selecting "DMA if available" option in the advanced properties of the controller menu. I made sure the primary IDE is the DVD controller - and not the hard drive controller - then uninstalled. I did a reboot and that Windows apparently forced to reinstall the primary IDE controller, after that he found the DVD device on the system... At least that's my understanding of how it worked - I'm not much of a Curmudgeon. In any case, it worked like a champ. I checked the disc using Nero and it's back to the speed (3.2 x at the beginning and continues to increase as it tests the reader), videos play very well also.

Maybe it will help others with the same problem.

Thanks again for your help. I will keep your suggestions for the future.

  • Burner DVD not recognized computer Gateway 2750 laptop under Vista

I have a DVD burner and my computer recognizes that the CD burner, I try to update the drivers but it doesn't show any DVD material. __

I have a laptop gateway 2750 running Vista Home Prem and I a bicoeur precessor.  My computer only recognizes the CD-ROM drive and does not see the same DVD at all.  I tried updating my drivers but it won't allow me to add a DVD driver. Help

    Hello

You have disk problems as the CD/DVD is actually 4 discs in 1 case (CD & DVD burning and)
Playback of CD and DVD). So it is not unusual for parts from 1 or 2 to not work so that others do
    correctly.

Burning at low speed, or by using the master could help. A CD/DVD cleaner might help.

Check with the support of the door of entry for firmware updates and known issues.

    ===========================================

Step 1: Please do all the same underneath if you did some before as is often total
a process that solves the problem.

Try this - Panel - Device Manager - CD/DVD - double click on the device - driver tab.
Click on update drivers (this will probably do nothing) - RIGHT click ON the drive - uninstall.
RESTART this will refresh the default driver stack. Even if the reader does not appear to continue
    below.

Then, work your way through these - don't forget the drive might be bad, could be a coward
cable or slight corrosion on the contacts (usually for a laptop) and other issues.

Another possibility is that the cables are loose. Remove ALL power, then make sure that the cables in both
ends. Remove and replace, do not just tight. For laptops, you can often clean power and
contacts data with a pencil eraser.

Some DVD players do not use the Windows default drivers so check with the manufacturer of system and
manufacturer of device to see if there is a firmware or drivers for your drive if necessary.

    ===============================

Step 2: You have disc problems as the CD/DVD is actually 4 discs in 1 case (CD & DVD
Burn and CD and DVD read). So it is not unusual for 1 or 2 operational so that other parts
    do it right.

Did you follow the Troubleshooting Guide for the reader who still does not work? There are
the entries in registry that the troubleshooter does not solve and those who "might" be the cause.

Check with your Maker system and a device for the two possible firmware updates and
the correct registry entries for your car.

Here are the keys that I of course are those in question - for the subkeys of the CD/DVD drive
as there will be other subkeys in these keys. Do not forget to ask specific keys involved as well as
    the parameters.

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\IDE

  • HP 15 laptop: DVD does not play smoothly. Help

I got a new laptop about a month ago. At first, I was able to watch a DVD titled "Australia" and it worked perfectly fine. Now, I have tried (unsuccessfully) to watch the other two films using the preinstalled CyberLink Power Media Player 12 (the same thing that I've used before) and it does not work. What happens is I put in a DVD in my laptop and at first when he travels the sponsors or creators such as BBC, it works fine. But then comes the time for the actual film to begin with, the first audio will play while the video itself is trying to go, and then sound stops and will wait for a good ten minutes in the wait for the video to catch up with the sound. In other words, a person walking at a normal speed from point A to point B in a normal period of 3 min now takes at least 7 min for audio (which runs faster) and the video to actually play. I tested to see if it was the drive in place, but I have songs on CD on my laptop, no problem. So I don't know what to do. Any suggestions? I am also still under warranty.

If there is a problem with the DVD material he would play no video at all so we can exclude. I'll tell you that it is a software problem so you only problems for real part of copyright subject to digital rights management. If you're ready to experiment a little, I might suggest that you try to download the VLC media player free, that will play DVDs and see if it's better.

  • Bad output HDMI with Qosmio G30-153

The display of the output to the HDMI port on two sets of HDTV in the mine is not as good as DVI or ATI 1800XL 7800GTX. The output of the screen seems to be scanned, where of course the taskbar and another part of the screen does not appear and the color screen is also poor.
The resolution is correct, 1920 x 1080 and I use the latest Toshiba 8.3.2.8 display driver.

I updated the firmware (from TO01 to TO03), cleaned the lens and tried again with some TDK discs, I got the same results, if data on both drives are still readable (lucky!)

I am confused and frustrated, I already had my phone replaced for a defective Panel... and we here are... again!

Suggestion / help is really appreciated
    Thanks in advance

    Hello

The power calibration error is very generally if the drive laser lens cannot be calibrated (moved) into the right position.
This can be caused by bad disks, is not compatible, or in most cases, this problem occurs because the CD/DVD drive is malfunctioning.

If you didn t test different drives from different manufacturers, so you should do this.
Otherwise I would recommend you to contact the technician of the ASP for the verification of the CD/DVD material.

    Good luck

    1. have you done any change in software on the computer lately?
2 have you installed any third-party CD/DVD burning software?

  • DVD player does not appear error - the driver may be corrupted or missing. Code 39, fix the driver installation fails, virtual drives don't work - same results if the material under tension

Original title: drive does not appear, difficulty he pilot installation fails, virtual drives don't work - same results if the material under tension

A few weeks ago, as my two DVD players (the two Samsung Lightscribe SH-S223Q of) disappeared after a repair installed, I did for the other problems (not sure if it was directly after installation because I don't notice it right away, but it was no doubt). In Device Manager, it gives the message:

"Windows cannot load the driver for this hardware device. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39) »

I tried the Microsoft Fix It tool (Mats_Run.dvd.exe) that detects the problem and says "Install device driver" in a popup, but then he says "software device driver failed to installed. At the end it says under the issue, the "CD/DVD drive is not detected" and the status of Fix 'not set '. Note that, when I boot from another hard drive (with Vista 64 on it installed from the same DVD, just a new installation) disks appear very well. Also I can boot from the drive as well.

I can't do a repair installation, since it must initiate Windows, and I can't load the disc. I tried to update my BIOS but that has no effect.

Recently I actually moved this hard drive to another one, with another brand of hard drive and all the rest. Just like before, if I boot from another hard drive (this one with Windows 7), the drive unit-a Optiarc AD-7230 s - looks and works, and I can also boot from the drive at startup. But since the drive hard as I want to use, the drive does not appear. Fix it, etc. Device Manager gives the same messages as before.

I tried virtual drives - Daemon Tools Lite and Virtual Clonedrive. When I try to add virtual devices to help, nothing happens. The new drive will be displayed in the Manager of devices, but with the same error Code 39 as the real drive.

What are my options at this point? How can I get the drive to appear or to fix my copy of Windows?

I could solve this problem. I started in Ubuntu and deleted the existing cdrom.sys, cdrom.inf etc. files (as in Windows, they were protected and I couldn't delete them), then I copied the files from another installation of Vista I had on another hard drive. After having done that, I updated the drivers in device, disabled/enabled readers and readers management that presented themselves.
