Hello

You don't specify your Windows Version. Please ask in the Forums of Windows of answers for your
version of Windows.

Answers - Windows Forums

-------------------------------------------------------

It's for Windows 7, if you have XP or Vista, please ask in the forums

Code 39 means that the driver is corrupted or missing.

-------------------------------------------------------

Follow these steps to remove corruption and missing/damaged file system repair or replacement.

Start - type in the search box - find command top - RIGHT CLICK – RUN AS ADMIN

sfc/scannow

How to fix the system files of Windows 7 with the System File Checker
http://www.SevenForums.com/tutorials/1538-SFC-SCANNOW-Command-System-File-Checker.html

Then run checkdisk (chkdsk).

How to run check disk in Windows 7
http://www.SevenForums.com/tutorials/433-disk-check.html

==========================================================

After the foregoing:

References to Vista also apply to Windows 7.

Step 1: Please do all the same underneath if you did some before as is often total
a process that solves the problem.

Try this - Panel - Device Manager - CD/DVD - double click on the device - driver tab.
Click on update drivers (this will probably do nothing) - RIGHT click ON the drive - uninstall.
RESTART this will refresh the default driver stack. Even if the reader does not appear to continue
below.

Then, work your way through these - don't forget the drive might be bad, could be a coward
cable or slight corrosion on the contacts (usually for a laptop) and other issues.

Another possibility is that the cables are loose. Remove ALL power, then make sure that the cables in both
ends. Remove and replace, do not just tight. For laptops, you can often clean power and
contacts data with a pencil eraser.

Some DVD players do not use the Windows default drivers so check with the manufacturer of system and
manufacturer of device to see if there is a firmware or drivers for your drive if necessary.

===============================

Step 2: You have disc problems as the CD/DVD is actually 4 discs in 1 case (CD & DVD
Burn and CD and DVD read). So it is not unusual for 1 or 2 operational so that other parts
do it right.

Did you follow the Troubleshooting Guide for the reader who still does not work? There are
the entries in registry that the troubleshooter does not solve and those who "might" be the cause.

Check with your Maker system and a device for the two possible firmware updates and the
correct registry entries for your car.

Here are the keys that I of course are those in question - for the subkeys of the CD/DVD drive
as there will be other subkeys in these keys. Do not forget to ask specific keys involved as well as
the parameters.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\IDE

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Hardware Profiles\0001\System\CurrentControlSet\Enum\IDE

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\ {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

You can probably find more info here and maybe even the exact registry settings for your
CD/DVD drive someone with the same model.

Use DevManView to locate the CD/DVD in the registry (be careful and do a prior Restore Point)
nothing change) - find the DevManView device and then make a right click on it free in RegEdit.

all devices and their properties in flat table, instead of the tree viewer

    Hi Kamal,

    If you had a tools and Utilities CD that came with your laptop then I suggest that you check to see if it contains the necessary drivers and utilities to support for your sound card. Alternatively, you can be able to download the forms from the download from Toshiba site. You will need to specify the number of the correct model for your laptop.

    Hi, I tried to play a game this morning to discover that I have apparently not a DVD player!
    I went to the device manager that has a yellow exclamation mark on the disk.
    I clicked on properties, it says: "Windows cannot load the driver for this hardware device. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (code39) »
    I tried to update the driver who couldn't, I also tried to roll back only the pilot but could not.
    I tried to uninstall the drive from the Manager of devices and reinstalling that also failed, I also tried to download the driver from the Web from Toshiba site, but it did not help.

    It started this morning, watched a DVD last night, it was fine, I don't really know what happened!
    Anyone know what could be the problem?

    Reasons for this error include a driver that is not present; a binary file is damaged; a file I/O problem or a driver that makes reference to an entry point in another binary file that could not be loaded.

    Uninstall the form driver in the Device Manager and after reboot click on search the hardware changes to reinstall or upgrade the driver.
    On the tab General properties of the device, click Troubleshoot to start the Troubleshooting Wizard.

    Also try this:

    There are 2 reg keys that can screw the device... Remove them both and restart...

    The keys are:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}-«l\Class\ Upperfilters"and"Lowerfilters ".

    In Device Manager, the Properties dialog box says "Windows cannot load the driver for this hardware device. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39) »

    laptop: A210
    OS: Vista 32 bit

    I think the material is OK, as I install dual-boot linux, the STRANGE works very well under linux.

    I found updates of firmware STRANGE on the Toshiba site, but these cannot be installed with the drivers dysfunctional.

    Is it possible to find the drivers somewhere? (I can use google, but I don't know if driver download sites are trustworthy).

    Any other ideas?

    Hello

    This has been discussed a lot of time here;
    The workaround is;
    -remove the ODD of Device Manager
    -access the registry and delete the Upperfilters and Lowerfilters completely from the following registry key values:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Class\ {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
    -restart the laptop
