DW help file is missing?

When I click on 'Help' in DWCS6, it tells me that the aid system cannot be launched because the help file is missing. Then "Please install the help file or reinstall Dreamweaver. Before I could view the online help, now it disappeared. Is this another example of improvements CC, designed to make life as difficult as possible for all those who want not to subscribe to the new meal ticket to Adobe?

Either way, I see that I'm done with a creative application of cloud on my desk W8, apparently installed at her backdoor when I checked for CS6 updated and a new version of Adobe Update Manager has been installed.

Back to the question: is it still possible to download a copy of the help file, without going to the penalty to uninstall and reinstall DWCS6? This kind of thing can create more problems than it solves, based on past experience.

Hello

I don't know how it's happened, but in my help Manager Adobe, General settings-, it has been set to display the contents of local help only. So, it wouldn't let me view the content online . By changing the settings to allow content online, I was able to download a .pdf of the help manual. Further, I'll let Manager to help set up this way for future updates. It was the first time I used the help of the community - I am very grateful for your quick responses - thanks to you two.

  • CS6 HELP files are missing or are not available. How can I restore?

When I press F1 for the help, I get a message that I need to communicate online, to access the help, which of course, I'm already. This happens on Photoshop, Illustrator and bridge under CS6. Any ideas how I can restore the help function?

The help system is poor.  You arrive at the it of the 'Help' option in the menu bar. BUT Google search generally the results in the best results targeted for software and the version you are using. By default the Adobe software, system triggers the shotgun and gives results for versions and you have no software and it is very picky about terminology.  For example if I search Photoshop CS5 help, he talks about CS6. Nothing is as frustrating as trying to make a feature work when it is not yet present in the software, you are owner - or when the description is for Photoshop ELEMENTS and you have Photoshop Extended.

Another example: search for "align photography" and you will get no help on 'smoothing' in aid - you must use the magic word "redress".  And when you are not using the magic word the first hit is a page, any links to the Adobe documentation. A page that calls the tool 'sovereign' tool 'Ribbon '.

You can "refine" the help system but despite by configuring it to return data for "Photoshop CS5" and "Adobe" only he continues to insist on the provision of information about Photoshop Elements and Photoshop CS6.

I guess what I'm saying, it is that I learned not to use the help tool and not worth to download large files because they cause frustration, and dead ends.  GOOGLE and BING are more specific.

  • How to replace "apply downloaded update now" with "Check for Updates" in the menu help when the update fails because the downloaded update files are missing but the "Ready to install update" window keeps appearing?

    Question

I have another type of problem with Firefox

    Description

Window "Ready to Install" Firefox "Software Update" appeared. The folder "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\updates\0" contained the files update.mar, update.status and update.version. Each of the 3 files have been deleted. The next time that Firefox has been started, no update occurred because update files were missing. In the Menu bar, clicking Help showed in the menu drop-down that "apply downloaded update now" was always on the list. By clicking on "Apply downloaded update now" open "Software Update" window "Ready to install update", so that Firefox still considers that the update files exist, but they do not. In the window "Software Update", by clicking on "Restart Firefox" restart of Firefox, but once again it there's no update, and remains "apply downloaded update now" on the Help menu. How can "Apply downloaded update now" be replaced by "Check for Updates" so the update files can be downloaded?

You can manually reset the software update feature by closing Firefox and remove the file "updates" (which seems you have done) and the two files "active - update.xml" and "updates.xml" - these are in the installation (C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox) directory or in the profile folder (C:\Documents and Settings\nom_utilisateur\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\something.default).

If it does not, see our KB article How to resolve the failure of the update of Firefox update error message - the section of 'last resort' can be useful, or or read this article from MozillaZine KB, software update.

  • HP mini 110-1129nr with windows xp home edition, following the file is missing or corrupt \windows\system32\config\system model doesn't have a cd/dvd drive. Help, please!

HP mini 110-1129nr with windows xp home edition, on said boot computer could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt \windows\system32\config\system computer has no cd/dvd drive. Computer does not load in safe mode, I ran disk hard main test self test it says completion test: failure, check the status: 7 (filled with the read element of the test failed). Help.

You need an external DVD drive to get the repair will.

Also the device you own does not seem to have built in the recovery partition. I'm not sure about later versions of this machine, however, it is best to check with HP.

The problem is that there is a corruption of the registry on your OS or the system could not find where the registry files are due to system files or boot corrupted file.

A repair can be made with an external DVD, the worst case, is that if the repair doesn't work you reinstall Windows.

  • XP MCE said dll files are missing, maybe others. Starting price. Runs. Must fix. My files are corrupt? Terrified Novice needs help...

    Hello

Please help me solve this computer.  I am an elderly person, not technical and I need to fix it myself if possible.  I studied the system widely.  I don't have the skills or knowledge needed to implement a fix.

What worries me, is that my files have been damaged by the problems on this computer.  I don't know how to say.

The system was custom built, not a branded computer.  I have 3 drives, all Originals Microsoft.  XPMCE disks (there are 2) say 2005 on them, the 3rd disc says Version 2005 updates.  He said not cumulative on the third disc. I don't know what that means... I don't know there was also a cumulative 2006 for XP... final.  XP Pro is 2002.

I installed updates as much as I could, but am stuck with SP2, and I know that the system is vulnerable because of the missing updates.   I want to fix non-destructive if possible.

Langa claimed it was possible, but he did not speak MCE, but Pro, and they are not the same.  I know not what integrators were not allowed to provide (food?) discs with this particular Version.  I've never done of all disks (experience, is what you get right after that you need), but I'm not sure that the system was perfect when I got it...  I don't have any other type of disk.  I learned that one must save or image the system, so it can be restored.

The system starts and runs. But the SP3 update can "t be installed.  A program to work indicating that a dll file is missing.  In addition, the system restore stopped working.  I was told the system restore often confuses things and can 'break' installed AV and perhaps other programs, due to conflicts between Windows restoration files and programs that are not part of Windows in terms of time.

I've always run AntiVirus and MBAM.  I have the instructions step by step for what I could try.

I would like to find a list of parameters that should be enabled or disabled in different areas... so I can check that they are correct.  The area called services and to uninstall Windows components, I worry.

I have not really requires... because I don't know how to get the information on this computer.  I ran the Scan Now command and he said I should put in discs... There are 3?   I'm afraid to do anything until I have found on the backup and the possibility of corruption of my files.  I'll have to print files, rather than risk losing things.  My drive back to stop working, don't know if it is related to the lack of files or settings to be wrong.

Thank you for reading this... I tried to write paragraphs, to make it a bit clearer, I hope that it appears that way.

  • How can I find which files are missing in my video so that I can burn it to a DVD? Help!

have made a video for my friends moving away party (his tmrw night, I need this burned on a DVD as soon as POSSIBLE!) So the film has mainly pictures, with a few songs mp3 in the background and some wmv files. OK, everything works correctly in Windows Movie Maker, and as soon as I click "publish on a DVD" I get a box saying that it saves and will be reopened in Windows DVD maker. This isn't so. Create DVD opens, I can't open my project, not to mention burn my DVD. I get a msg saying that he cannot locate one or more of my files... Help! How to determine WHICH files are missing so I can get this company to burning? I need this burned as soon as POSSIBLE, please help me!

Are 'all' the original files that you have included in your project
saved on your hard drive? This is important because
Movie Maker does not archive copies of the files... it
just saves the path to the original location. If these
the files are no longer available Movie Maker cannot find
    them.

  • It seems that my Dilcache file is missing. I'm trying to restore my rundll32.exe feature to recover my computer back to normal. Can someone help me? I have no restore disks.

I only have the internet features.  I'm unable to access computer based programs.  For example, any program that uses rundll32.exe is performed, which seems to be many programs such as Yahoo Mail... Control Panel programs, etc.

What makes you think your rundll32 is missing or damaged? Or you are just unable to open executable files. Before that you will replace the file extension of exe re - try to associate applications. To do this click Start > run > type cmd > Ok. On the command line type "assoc.exe = exefile" without quotes > press ENTER. This should fix the problem if it is simply a problem of liaison.

If you are sure that the file is missing or damaged you can replace it with the copy of the file in your folder of service pack. To do this, follow the instructions below.

Right click on start > search. Type "rundll32.exe" in the field of the files to be searched. Choose to search for your main drive (usually C). Select the search hidden files and folder advanced features. Click on the search button to start the search. In the results list, find the associated rundll32 file C:\WINDOWS\ServicePackFiles\i386. Right-click on rundll32 to the left of the directory above and choose 'open file location '. The rundll32.exe file should be highlighted when the folder opens. Right-click on the file and choose copy. Navigate to C:\windows\System32.  Right click again in a free space in the folder and choose Paste.

Note that this kind of problem results normally malware. Once you are able to run applications, you need to download, update and perform a scan with Malwarebytes.
