DxDiag crash

When you start DxDiag get error messages about DirectInput, DirectShow and Information System.

'DxDiag has detected that there may have been a DirectInput access problem last time that this program has been used. You want to bypass DirectInput this time? »

By selecting Yes let the DxDiag proceed, selecting no results in DxDiag crashing.

Also cannot access the game controllers in Control Panel. Don't know if this is linked above.

Any help appreciated.

  • 7.2 Skype crashes at startup

I know this topic has already been here. And believe me, I've tried with serveal things and none of them worked. I don't really know what else I can try to do.

The story is, that Skype has worked very well for me (next to rare accidents, nothing to worry about). then all of a sudden that it crashed, every time I picked up a call (or called someone). The writing was no problem and since it's essential I usw Skype for, I had no real problem with that. But after a while, I wanted that it works correctly. So I tried uninstalling and reinstalling my Skype and since then it crashes at startup. I use the normal SkypeSetup.exe I downloaded from the main site. I also tried older versions, nothing works. I tried to delete the settings in Skype and to my surprise, Skype starts after that. Unfortunately, it crashes as soon as I connect.

Please help me, I really have no idea what could be wrong with my PC (or Skype).

  • Dell Inspiron 15R SE AMD video driver problems (7520)

    Hello

Updated Windows Installer update drivers AMD GPU for me earlier. I think the problem is that it has installed the AMD site instead of graphics drivers switchable drivers that are compatible with my laptop (Inspiron 15R SE).

All programs that use the AMD card crashes when I start the system, including the Catalyst Control Center and the switchable graphics program. I tried to get into windows to display advanced options, but windows stops responding when I open the menu (Gray screen for about a minute then it returns with the window closed).

Dxdiag crashes if I start it, and if I try to run again he asks me if I want to run without Direct3D. If I press 'No', it crashes. If I accept, he let me in but does not detect the graphics card AMD.

I tried to uninstall the drivers and re - download coupons Dell website, but the problem persists.

I'm running an AMD Radeon HD m 7730 GPU and 4000 HD Intel integrated graphics.

TL; DR: All programs set to use graphic crash dedicated. Drivers say they have updated, but the problem is still there. Cannot access driver rollback screen (windows crash).

If you need more information, just ask. I run the Dell Diagnostics tool and he found nothing wrong, so it is a driver problem.

    Hello

I followed the steps you posted. Uninstall driver AMD asked me to restart later, so I allowed him to. I was greeted with a BSOD whenever I started. I tried to boot my Dell driver recovery disk, but there is no drive detected. I finally decided I had to do a system restore.

The good news is that the problem is resolved.

Bad news is that I lost all my files. This time I am disabling the windows driver updates...

  • Firefox and Nvidea graphics drivers crash at the same time.

This rare, occurrence in general on Facebook but I think it's just because it's a page I'm often, and that overall the site has no impact on this.

Sometimes my two drivers graphics and Firefox will crash with the result no entry on my monitor for a few seconds and a dialogue of Mozilla crash and small ball of task bar telling me my drivers have crashed and valued.

While this doesn't happen often, I am always curious to know why Firefox crashes my graphics drivers sometimes and yet I played many games intense and never had a single accident.

Graphics card is a Nvidea GTX 460 and drivers in DXdiag version is 8.17.12.8562 and in the popup something along the lines of 285.2 bubble, I'm not really sure on this last because it disappears quickly.

Also happens on my machine. Accidents cause usually just of my screens only blinks several times, but sometimes it forces me to hard reset my computer because it is not recover.

With the help of 2 GTX460 SLI. Windows7 64 bit. Latest version of Firefox and accidents have taken place for months with several previous versions of firefox as well. In addition, the latest stable nividia drivers.

And come to think of it, I think that the accidents began when I installed my second graphics card.

  • Skype crashes on startup

When I start Skype, I can log in and everything, but it crashes immediately when the main window appears. I run dxdiag and it hangs on DirectShow (step 1).

I tried to update my drivers, but they are up to date.

Here is my dxdiag file. Can anyone help? Thank you very much.

DxDiag hangs on vorbis.acm, which is the DirectShow of Ogg Vorbis codec package.

    http://www.Vorbis.com/setup_windows/

Look for any application on your computer that may have installed this Codec package. You can try to search for the presence of the file vorbis.acm .

In previous similar cases, the question of the Ogg Vorbis could have been resolved by just renaming the file vorbis.com to something different.

  • Skype crashing

    Hey everybody!

My Skype crashses everytime I call or receive a call, except that nothing wrong that I can still receive messages, etc. I tried to reinstall and update my drivers on everything.

I will attach my dxdiag here as well.

    Thank you

Skype most likely crashes because you have Hauppauge Siena Video Capture device installed.

    Video Capture sources:

    Capture video Hauppauge Siena 0 x 00200000, 2, 1, ksproxy.ax, 6.01.7601.17514

Uninstalling this device can solve the problem.

  • 7.7 of Skype and more crashes on logon on Windows 10

    Hello

I had this problem since the free update of Windows 10. Whenever I try to connect to Skype (7.7 or 7.8, I tried both) it crashes immediately. This happened before when I had the same version of Skype on Windows 7, so I need help finding this. There is a known problem which mentions ourdated drivers, but I've updated my video and audio drivers after the upgrade, that I missed? in any case...

    Computer: Computer laptop Asus G74SX

    OS: 10 64-bit Windows

Graphics card: NVidia GeForce GTX 560 M

My impression dxdiag is attached below.

I would like to have a safe and secure Skype version working again (I had to go back to 6.21) so I would appreciate a quick response.

Well, I ended up fixing the issue myself and updated to the latest version of Skype. Here's what I did:

    1. I noticed that reports of incidents mentioned, Asus Virtual Camera, so I uninstalled (most likely culprit).
    2. A run the File Checker system via the command prompt (with administrator privileges): cmd-> sfc/scannow
    3. A ran chkdsk to check the C: drive to find errors. C: /-> properties-> tools-> of error checking
    4. Restarted my computer and then 7.12 Skype for connected desktop PC and ran without crashing!

Given that my problem has been solved I am that mark it as resolved.
