Dynamic channel selection

Hi people,

I use DIAdem 2011. I have a question on channel selection. I'm averaging channels using the function "Call ChnAverage("'temp1'-'temp3'","mean")" and the entry list varies which means "temp3" could be 'TMP4' or 'temp5. So I want to check the last entry with a variable as tempi. But in "" DIAdem doesn´t 'i' recognize as an integer, but a part of the string "tempi". Does anyone have ideas for dealing with this problem? Thank you very much!

Andi

Thank you, Walter. The ideas are great

    It's a good idea to keep track that uses a bunch of Audio channels selected in the arrange window, unless you actively play or record on a software Instrument.

    Which no longer applies in Logic Pro X 10.2.3. In old versions of logic, selecting a range with a software instrument automatically would make this instrument in "Live" mode, which means that the instrument has begun to transform any MIDI in sound with a minimum of delay. This direct mode becomes an instrument need CPU power (on a single processor) and peut overload the audio engine. It is a waste of CPU if there is no direct game. Then select an audio track would ensure that No instrument is in direct mode. Now (LPX 10.2.2 or more) in direct mode can be turned on or off on a track, chosen or not - it is the R button on the track header.

  • Capsule - save the channel selection

    Hi guys.

    I have Time Capsule 3 to with 7.7.3 firmware.

    If I change 'Radio channel Selection' to 'manual' mode and adjust the channels that I need and press the "Update" button - after devices it still restarts use automatic channel selection. Is a way to fix it?

    Thank you!

    Where do you stand in the world? It is Europe that has this problem.

    And I need to the right of the box model number, as that will include your area code.

    There are tougher laws to prevent people setting illegal channels in your area... so if you put a country with different laws of yours and set a wireless channel that is not legal in your area, the TC will close without applying the changes.

    Apple seems to have anticipated this rule change and still 2 years ago put in work in the 7.7.3 firmware.

    Test it using only 2.4 ghz, then set it to channel 8 as a channel that is legal everywhere... let alone 5 GHz for now... it works?

  • Saving channels selected as .tdm

    I have a set of data from 1300 channels.  It is saved in a file .tdm.  I try to use the function "save the channels selected in the data portal" to save a new set of data (like a .tdm) which includes only some of the 1300 channels.  When I try to register, I get an error message "error message from the command kernel DIAdem: the channel list can have only a maximum of 255 characters.»  "Order: DataFileSaveSel (FileDlgFileName, FileDlgFilter, DataCheckChnls).

    Am I exceeding a limit to tiara, or I just need to change some parameter of handling data?

    Hello SSHRC Tstr,

    It seems that this problem has been fixed in DIAdem 10.1 or 10.2 tiara there is no way to solve this problem in 10.0.

    But (there is usually one "but", right?), the following workaround solution should help you solve this problem in DIAdem 10.0:

    1 copy all the channels that you want to put into a single group in the data portal

    2. in the BROWSER, click on the tab 'List' to switch to the display of the list of the channels (rather than the 'Structure' view function)

    3. right click on a channel and select the item of menu popup "new channel numbers.

    You
    should now be able to return to the display of 'Structure', select all the
    you want to save and make the channels. The 'trick' here is that the
    channels need to have consecutive channel numbers, which reach us by
    by using the function "New Channel Numbers".

    If you have a
    chance, take a look at version 11 of DIAdem
    (http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/tut/p/id/5563), he has really nice
    new features that could make your life a little easier...

  • niHSDIO VI of dynamic channel assign

    It might be a silly question, but I am struggling to find the answer I'm looking for.  When using the niHSDIO assign dynamic channels VI with the PXI-6552, how to determine which channel is assigned to which pinout of the PXI?

    I call the VI as follows:

    I was able to stumble upon this article that shows the pinout diagram; However, it does not seem to correlate the VI channels to the PXI pins:

    Intuitively, I presume that the DIO pins corresponding channels and just go in ascending order, but I was wondering if someone could confirm this or point me in the right direction as to where I can identify this information.

    Of trial and error, I have deduced that my hypothesis is correct.

  • LV 2009 bug - dynamic distribution selection dialog does not have the VI forward, if it is already open

    In 2009 of LV, if you double-click an implementation in the dynamic distribution selection dialog and VI is already open, it will not be credited toward the front. It worked correctly in earlier versions.

    Have a look at the attached draft for an example.

    Please try to drop the VI attached on top of program NIUninstaller Instruments\LabVIEW XXXX\resource\Framework\Providers\LVClassLibrary\ChooseImplementation\CLSUIP_OpenImplementations.vi and let me know if it works for you.

  • Cisco Valet M10 Wireless channel selection question

    Hello

    You're not sure if someone knows or not, but I wonder how the option on the configuration page wireless router, channel selection work?

    My Valet m10 (firmware: 2.0.03) offer an option manually set the wireless channel or put it on "Automatic" and I was wondering when the option is set to 'Auto', how many times don't change router channel.

    Does it change after reboot?

    Or it changes periodically all on its own?

    Thank you

    How auto channel is supposed to work, is that the router is a poll figures and wireless channel is the best at the moment to reduce the interference of signals between the channels.

    This feature doesn't work well on some routers and manual adjustment of the chain is the best.

  • Combination of alpha channel selection

    I made 6 individual selections on a photo and recorded each selection.  I have 6 alpha channels representing selections.  I have creative cloud, using a PC with Windows & and try to combine the 6 selections in one.  When I go to select > load selection, I select one alpha channels and make my new selection.  The marching ants that appear on my image.  But when I try to add 5 other alpha channels (select > load selection, choose the channel and choose Add to the selection, click OK), nothing happens.  Mobile dotted have not been added to the first selection.  Am I missing a step, something wrong, or do I have some sort of bug in the program?

    Try this: after loading of Alpha One as a new selection, load the others using subtract from selection.

  • Select the dynamic channel to fill in the legend

    Hello no,.

    I am the acquisition of 16 channels each channel has their own name, when I double click on the graph, the populous select.vi channel and it will list the name of the channel. If I select the first channel 5 or last name 5 channels or channel. the selected channel must be complete on behalf of legend.

    I am facing the problem, when I select the way to any list of channels his does not display does not name, the same method that I did with labview 7.1, which has been working well.

    Find error or anything just a blank field name while doing this operation.

    A point I can see here is:

    1. the table "name out" which bears the names of channel should have clues covered by array index.  If the index covered by index out is not in the name of then an empty string will be returned.

    Please check if this condition is met.

  • How the work of automatic channel selection?

    Hi all

    I was wondering how the AUTO function works on an Airport Extreme/TimeCapsule channel selector 2.4/5 GHZ?  He selects a channel only started upward or is constantly searching for the best channel and according to the needs of switching?

    Thank you.

    Hi solomani,.

  • Determine the number of channels selected for traditional DAQ

    The blocks 'DAQmx task' and "Traditional DAQ Channel" look pretty similar (see attachments). The DAQmx block ist an individual selection of channels and I am able to determine the number of selected channels.

    Now I am trying to determine the number of selected channels to a traditional DAQ, but the property DAQmx block does not work here. I already tried the trad to some form of blocks. Range of data acquisition, but failed.

    Any idea?

    In traditional DAQ, there are several ways of specifying the list of channels. Assuming that your picture shows how you use your channel list is just a string of delimited by commas. Wire a constant to a string array node worksheet and specify "comma" as the separator and the number of columns must tell you the number of channels.

  • Automatic control of the channel select

    I have a text input box that is displayed to the user for the information to be included - this will be done via a bar code reader, but it does not work because to enter in the text (bar code), a user must select the channel control unit where the text should be enter - so my question is how can I automatically select the text entery box , press the tab key also works so is it possible to send the command {tab} in VI?

    Thank you

    If your question is how to give attention to your control, the solution is a proprity (right-click on your control > create > property node > Keyfocus).

  • Physical channel selected does not support the type of output required by virtual channel

    I use a box USB-6251.  Inside of MAX, I can set the device to Dev1 / ao1 sine wave generation and if he have output a sine wave.  When I use DAQmx DAQmxCreateAOFuncGenChan function I get error: selected physical channel does not support the type of output required by virtual channel.  The pilot DAQmx does FuncGen on the box USB-6251 or MAX out a set of tensions?

    Hi Paul,.

    Welcome to the Forums EITHER!  The DAQmxCreateAOFuncGenChan is supported only on products Elvis II.  For other devices, including the 6251, you must use the ordinary DAQmxCreateAOVoltageChan and create your own data buffer.  I would recommend looking in the following example:

    Start > all programs > National Instruments > NOR-DAQ > textual Code > ANSI C examples...

    Analog on > generate voltage > Cont Gen Volt Wfm - Int Clk

    In MAX the Sinewave output is used as a test signal - in this case MAX is a period of the wave sine values to write to the buffer and generate these data.  Again, you can produce a sine wave (or any other function) using the AOVoltageChan, but the AOFunctionGenChan is used only with Elvis II.  Just generate data points for the sine wave that will produce DAQ hardware.

  • PL/SQL dynamic dynamic SQL SELECT block vs

    Hello

    I have a question about the best way to encode a dynamic SELECT INTO statement. Here are the 2 posiibilities I know:

    _1. Dynamically, the execution of the SELECT statement and making use of the INTO clause the EXECUTE IMMEDIATE statement_

    FUNCTION to CREATE or REPLACE get_num_of_employees (p_loc VARCHAR2, VARCHAR2 p_job)
    RETURN NUMBER
    IS
    v_query_str VARCHAR2 (1000);
    v_num_of_employees NUMBER;
    BEGIN
    v_query_str: = 'SELECT COUNT (*) FROM emp_.
    || p_loc
    || ' WHERE employment =: bind_job';
    V_query_str EXECUTE IMMEDIATE
    IN v_num_of_employees
    Using p_job;
    RETURN v_num_of_employees;
    END;
    /

    _2. Encapsulation of the SELECT INTO statement in a block and dynamically exectuting the gabarit@sur

    FUNCTION to CREATE or REPLACE get_num_of_employees (p_loc VARCHAR2, VARCHAR2 p_job)
    RETURN NUMBER
    IS
    v_query_str VARCHAR2 (1000);
    v_num_of_employees NUMBER;
    BEGIN
    v_query_str: = ' start
    "SELECT INTO COUNT (*): into_bind FROM emp_"
    || p_loc
    || ' WHERE employment =: bind_job;
    end;';
    V_query_str EXECUTE IMMEDIATE
    With the HELP of v_num_of_employees, p_job;
    RETURN v_num_of_employees;
    END;
    /

    I was wondering which way would be best? I know that the second method uses a variable binding for the INTO clause, but one also uses link varialbes (No. semicolon)? Differences in terms of efficiency or speed?

    Thank you very much

    SELECT Dynamics also links the output - it no worries.

    The dynamic PL/SQL block would result in a change in additional context of PL/SQL for SQL inside the block. It would be a very slight overhead.

    I'd go for the SELECT dynamic - I see no reason to associate a PL/SQL block.

  • Dynamically by selecting only the two highest values

    Hello. I have the following query:
      1  select distinct quarter
      2  from random_selection
    SQL> /

    QUARTER
    ------------
    114
    121
    113
    112
    I would like to know if it is possible to modify this query so that it dynamically returns the value of 'quarter' for only two values (higher) the most recent quarter. In the case above, I want him back just 121 and 114.

    Is this possible?

    Hello

    Of course, it is possible.
    One way is to use ROWNUM:

    WITH  in_descending_order     AS
    (
         SELECT DISTINCT  quarter
         FROM             random_selection
         ORDER BY      quarter     DESC
    )
    SELECT  quarter
    FROM     in_descending_order
    WHERE     ROWNUM     <= 2
    ;

    Another way is to use DENSE_RANK:

    WITH  got_r_num     AS
    (
         SELECT DISTINCT  quarter
         , DENSE_RANK () OVER (ORDER BY quarter DESC) AS r_num
         FROM             random_selection
    )
    SELECT  quarter
    FROM     got_r_num    -- Corrected
    WHERE     r_num     <= 2
    ;

    DENSE_RANK requires a bit more code, but it is more flexible. For example, you can easily display to find the last two quarters for each account.
